Brauner Hirsch

We have stayed here several times on our way home from Italian alps. Great location close to autobahn and perfect family room and good food.

Just needed at stayover on our way south, but were surprised of the quality you get here. Such a cosy place, high quality restaurant with fresh vegtables / steinpilze. Just wonderfull. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Will return next week.

We arrived after a long drive to a wonderfully warm welcome at reception. We were in time for dinner and a beer which were very good. The guest house is set in a pretty village which we walked through after dinner. The nice and friendly waiters spoke English very well. The breakfast was good too.

This land hotel is remotely located in a river valley. The room was just enough to fit the bed, not much room to move around.
Most clients are germans, especially german bike tourists. At breakfast, we were led to a back room, not in the main dining room with the river valley view, even though there were still tables available by the window. As we were the only guests who got segregated, it became obvious that the owners were biased based on our foreign last name. The owners should not think that guests will not realize this kind of discrimination, which is unprofessional. If they want to still advertise in online international hotel booking websites, they should learn to be more respectful to foreign guests.

Was a bit unsure at first as this was one the cheapest place to stay we had book on a 14-day roadtrip through Gernamy and Switzerland. That worry was quickly removed when we arrived. The staff is super friendly. The atmosphere really nice. We had dinner in the evening and it was really tasty. The room was large. Bathroom also very large. Bed was nice and comfortable — not too hard. Breakfast in the morning. A nice buffee setup. Was also met with a question of what eggs I would like — in addition to the usual coffee or tea question one gets at most hotels. Very much apreaciated to get fried eggs still warm for breakfast. The only thing that would have made the stay better would have been a fan in the room as the day we came the temperature was close to 40 Celcius — something that is not normal in the area. Still the room was quite cool so not too bad. We will for sure stay here again if we travel in the region.

We used the Hotel Brauner Hirsch on our way through and were thrilled by the friendliness of the innkeepers, the surroundings and felt very comfortable in the slightly old room with balcony and beautiful view. The price / performance ratio is right and the breakfast was very tasty and also there we were treated very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, it was very noisy in the room at night due to the "cardboard walls" and we had to fight very hard for the sleep of our one-year-olds. Without small children, however, I can recommend it throughout. Unfortunately, we could not use the inn for dinner, as we arrived on the closing day — the terrace, the playground and the guest room made a very good impression.

Easy check in, clean spacious room although a bit warm during the night. Staff was very polite and friendly and made us feel welcome. Breakfast included and well served. Highly recommend this and would definitely stay here again if we’re passing by.

Nice, friendly staff. Good food and nice, if partly small rooms.
