Good location if you want to go to events in the arenas or to the trotting track. Parking in the underground car park (pulling the thread to the exit! ;D) has been free of charge for us.
There was no minibar in the room (water cooker, tea, coffee, cocoa available). Drink vending machines are available on individual floors.
The rooms are large enough and furnished to the standard.
We didn't use breakfast because we didn't want to spend 18 euros per person.
The staff at the reception was friendly.
The maids were very friendly and attentive (a friendly "good morning" is not heard everywhere).

Unfortunately, our room was not so clean.
On the wall, the lamp and on the curtains we have noticed disgusting stains. And also the hair dryer can be cleaned or replaced!
The shower already had small mold spots on the silicone joints.
The shower head should also be renewed.

I came to Hamburg for a UFC event and spent the night at Mercure. The rooms and service are good. The receptionist was really helpful and supportive. The breakfast wasn't good for the price of 18 euros. The selection is really limited and food that is available is low quality.

This hotel has it's qualities, but also some down sides. The location is very good and there is a bus station very near by. The staff is very nice and the parking is free. The rooms are spacious and offer everything one needs on a business trip, except a LAN socket. What bothered me though was the bath room. The water in the sink barely drained, the shower head and hose should have been renewed ages ago (room 611). Also the cleaning staff did not do a good job in the bath room, found some hair here and there that was not mine and some fairly dusty places. The room itself was ok. So except for the bath room, I was happy with my stay.

Very noisy climate, although 22 degrees were set. Zimmer could not be completely blacked out. Separation door in the room defective. I am used to something else from a 4 star hotel. The reception was also very unkind.

The hotel is easily accessible and all attractions are easily accessible by bus and car. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, under a stay in a 4 star hotel, we imagined something different. Our room was unfortunately not thoroughly cleaned, grade in the bathroom it was still very dusty in obvious places. Even the door in the bathroom was smeared on the inside with soap. The spa area was not usable due to refurbishment, which was not pointed out on booking or arrival. Unfortunately, the entrance to the garage was not optimal either, as the ringing system is no longer firmly anchored in the floor and the ringing is therefore difficult.
Since there was quite a lot going on during our visit, it was unfortunately slow at the bar, the staff seemed overwhelmed.
Our conclusion: For our next visit another hotel, as Preis/performance does not meet expectations.

Nice hotel for business people. Clean and quiet room, with sufficient space. The bathroom is small but comfortable. My room had a bathtub which wasn't very comfortable when showering. The breakfast was ok.

Very nice reception, very clean rooms and everything you need was available.
We could not make an eye because in our room was a very noisy ventilation (for whatever) since we stayed only one night we did not mention it when checking out.
Please fix! Otherwise price/performance absolutely OK.

The poor rating is only achieved because the bar is not running at all. Normally, a very competent lady serves at the bar. But her older, male representation seems completely overwhelmed with the bar. The drinks must all be ordered directly at the bar, the receptionist will vacate the tables and the gentleman at the bar needs eternally to tap himself a simple pils. That does not testify to quality.
It is also not an exceptional case that the Lord does not manage the bar. In all my visits to this House, the bar ran extremely slowly when it served. Moreover, it is not the right decision to ignore a younger person at the bar forever and to take orders from all the older persons.

We stayed for 2 nights. We had a double bed with sofabed.
Completely satisfied in all. Clean, well equipped, even with kettle, tea and soluble coffee. Large and clean bathroom. Comfortable bed and friendly staff, also free underground parking.
The cons the sofa bed was not very comfortable and the prices for extras very high. Breakfast per person 18, — € fairly excessive. A drink at Bar 9, €50, also quite high.
Would come back but without breakfast and bar.

Here you pay a lot of money for an overnight stay and get little performance. At a breakfast price of 18 €/person I expect a corresponding breakfast. Here the selection was just €5 worth. The rooms (here the "Junior Suite") were clean but the bathroom is strongly Renovierungsbedüftig.
There are far better hotels in Hamburg at the same price.
Once and not again.

Very good location for Hamburg. Fast on the A7 and still not far to the center. Room was fine. Unfortunately, the small swimming pool was not on.

Clean and well maintained hotel. Spacious rooms. Nice staff. Good and quiet location. Professional use. Hassle free parking.

Older hotel. Booked a bigger room with seating area. Size is more than enough. Bath tub with shower but curtain (glass) is too small (floor is wet after shower). Could not get the room to warm up. Put heating on 35° and left it on all night. Was still chilly in the morning. Breakfast was good (as per accor standards) but not spectacular.

Very clean and nice hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The bar was clear but with good choice and decent value for money. Always happy!

We were satisfied and would come back. Very nice staff, reception warm and cleanliness very good. There are plenty of parking spaces. Our room was functionally furnished with everything you need. Impeccable cleanliness also in the bathroom. The location is a little off the road but the traffic is good, you do almost everything by car. In any case, we recommend this hotel, we liked the friendly staff. Thank you.

Big room. Tv was 5 meters from bed but was only 30". Small. Small towels in the bathroom. Nice staff. Double door helps against sound from hallway. Hotel seems old but somewhat clean. Easy to find.

Quite a decent hotel. A bit old fashioned, but good size, clean rooms. Bad Wi-Fi. Good breakfast. Would not recommend to eat anything at the pub downstairs…

Can be recommended if you want to watch a football game. It is also very easy to get to the city centre by train. The hotel itself was good for the price. Unfortunately, the breakfast and service were lacking. Maybe the wrong day got caught, because I don't know anything about other Mercure hotels, the breakfast was so bad and criticism was probably undesirable.

Overall quite good hotel in regards to the price and quality. Clean room and beds, good breakfast (a little expensive though — 18 euro for 1 person). Quiet during the nights. Free parking is a plus. However 4 stars is too much for the level of quality. Little dirty in the bathroom on the floor, water leaking through the door, shower feels like from very old times spraying water to sides. Hotel states in their booklets that bar is open until 1am, however it was closed when we went there at 10pm.

Customer service bad. Very long checkin. Nothing prepared. Doorknob in room lots. Bathroom ibis style. Not really 4 stars.

Seminar room Good, bright, acoustics is also good.
Food delicious, coffee good. There is also ample parking space.

The hotel is away from the city centre but in close proximity to the Bahrenfeld Trabrennbahn bus station, thankfully, and in a peaceful area of Hamburg, within a 2 minute walk from the Flea Market. It offers covered parking, a bar and a restaurant in the ground floor, but despite the price, the breakfast wasn't included. The Reception Staff were extremely helpful, especially Steve Biel and Jager, who explained the bus routes and even printed out the buses we needed to take to visit the tourist spots. There are two supermarkets which can be reached in 10 minutes by walking: a Penny and a Lidl close to it. We were pleasantly surprised to find a bathtub in our washroom. We even had an excellent view of a park nearby, and the room had a kettle, which was a lifesaver. Our room didn't have a fridge and the bathroom door doesn't lock, by design, so it could be a problem if you have a curious child. Wi-Fi was decent, but the coverage was poor, so I had to use it while standing at the entrance of our room, next to the door.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. They have everything that you need for an enjoyable stay. The hotel is a little far away from the centre but the public transport is brilliant and there are several bus stops within walking distance. Overall a great stay.

Basic hotel. Shame the pool was closed. The restaurant had a cold atmosphere. But it had what one needs for an overnight.

Visited on a business trip and found the hotel satisfactory. Bar area is a little small, and it is expensive for the standard.

For the night perfect, it is a bit further out the city. However public transport is very good in hamburg.

Comfortable, clean I stay here about twice a year on business. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the location is quiet. It's a little isolated, with only a few restaurants in walking distance. The hotel staff are efficient and courteous. The included breakfast is top notch, particularly for the price. On the negative side, the shower is very narrow and can't easily be used without getting water on the floor. In some rooms the internet signal is weak and intermittent. The curtains in some rooms don't fully cover the windows.

Very nice hotel, good hotel bar. Only the consulting to the hotel own customer card was unfortunately wrong. Therefore a point deduction.

I had planned to stay near the centre but something was on in Hamburg when we were staying there and most places were booked out, the few that were left had high prices and the Mercure had the most acceptable price at €179! We arrived at night and found a sign that said we had to drive to the car park entry further down the road, around 300m later we found the poorly signposted entry and drove in to find it was a shared car park with the surrounding buildings. A small faded Mercure logo was on the intercom mounted on a large panel with other businesses intercoms, we pressed the button and waited for reception who opened the garage door. The area you park is adjacent to the hotel underground so the walk from the car isn't far and the parking was included in the price. There isn't a map on the website that shows where the parking is in relation to the hotel which would be beneficial and save people driving around. Check in was ok and the staff were friendly, the hotel looked a little "worn" but it was nothing like the hotel room which was looking tired and had a dated design but was roomy. The bathroom looked old as well and was one of the few from our European trip that I didn't feel comfortable using. Getting out of the car park the next day was another problem, we checked out and left with our car but couldn't find anyway to open the door. There was a similar panel to the one on entry with various intercoms attached but not one for the Mercure.

The Hotel is fine with a really nice breakfast, some employees don't speak english. Not well located, it takes at least 30mins with the bus to go to the city center. Overall good service.

Hotel as described in the prospectus, extensive and good Breakfast. Good public transport links.

So I have to say that hotel was top of the 1 star awarded type, is probably somewhat unrealistic, super service, food good, room very nicely designed, very friendly staff, except for the Lange in the late service, could be something helpful, thanks for the price in order, if HSV is splashing around, I'm there next season. Rooms ok, breakfast fine. In the evening there are snacks until 23:00 and restaurant until 22:00. In addition vending machines on the corridors. Bar is sufficiently well sorted. Setup is. Modern.
