Unfortunately we didn't enjoy our stay very much. We were looking for an authentic castle, but the rooms were renovated in a somewhat modern but mostly kitsch fashion.
Breakfast was nice, very relaxed on the quiet terrace with good coffee and a wide assortment of German breakfast options.
Our biggest qualm was the clogged plumbing that surprised us in the morning with sewage in the shower.

Although it's a cute place, unfortunately I can't give it a better review. The room we got had a blocked shower and serious problems with piping which caused the shower cabin to fill with waste from another toilet in the building. This is absolutely unacceptable.
Apart from this, the breakfast was very simple and with very little variety and in overall disappointing.

A magnificent stay at a magnificent hotel and castle, situated on top of a charmful village and with a breathtaking view over the nearby valley. The history of the castle includes also dramatical passages from the 20th century worth looking in to. Do not miss the impressive baroque church just near the castle itself, it is well worth a visit. The restaurant in the castle is very nice, but dinner is just a little overpriced. Excellent breakfast however, and in general very nice and friendly service! The village nearby the castle is well worth a closer look, with its charming streets and houses; and here and there (also in the castle! ) you will find artistic installations and comments: puppets, paintings, pieces of art. And even a yellow UFO (! )

Schloss Haigerloch was magical. Our family had a late arrival however the manager and staff were incredibly accommodating. The chef even served our party of six the most wonderful dinner on the garden terrace — the food and wines were delicious and the waitstaff were gracious and kind. We so appreciate everyone's hospitality. Our rooms were absolutely lovely and I had the best sleep during our entire trip at this hotel. In the morning we were able to explore the castle grounds and there were many paths and walks — I wish we could of stayed an entire week. We followed one path to the church and found inside a masterpiece. I can not say enough good things of our too short stay and hope someday to return. My many thanks to the manager, chef and staff.

Very nice Hotel, confortable rooms and nice service.

We dropped in for lunch on the patio on a beautiful early spring day. Service was outstanding with the manager visiting our table a few times and engaging in conversation. I really felt that he enjoyed the interaction rather than just doing the job. Great location and walking paths too.
