Telegraphenamt Hotel in Berlin is a beautifully restored historic property. The architecture, the warm lighting, and the antique artefacts across the hotel make the stay truly memorable.
A special shout-out to David for his exceptional service throughout my stay — warm, attentive, and always helpful. The welcome with champagne was a lovely gesture!
The hotel’s restaurant is excellent too, adding to the overall experience.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Berlin and looking for a luxurious, well-located stay.

Grand building with spacious rooms and extremely comfortable beds. Walking distance from Museum island. Even though it was a busy time at the lobby, David and Ada were superb, patient and very professional. Ada helped with an an adaptor and also gave nice recommendations for nearby spots. Truly a wonderful hotel with great staff.

Stayed here for 3 nights and I loved it. The service, design, location and facilities are outstanding.
The only thing I didn’t like was the room for the following reasons:
1 — Not isolated enough, you can hear everything.
2 — it’s empty, I felt that it was missing a table or at least bed chair.
Overall, I enjoyed it alot.

We loved our stay here. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience including booking reservations on our behalf, accommodating a room change and providing excellent service. The location is perfect and the breakfast is delicious as well. We’ll definitely be back!

Beauty and the beast. This hotel deserves to be the most vibrant in Berlin. Almost all is there to be comparable with Soho Grand or Bowery hotel in NYC. We had a great stay and service was excellent. However, something is a bit off (mid summer). The terrace feels as if in the Nikolai Viertel.

Update: After staying for a week, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the staff is kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and well renovated (old building, beautiful) and the food is fantastic! I normally don't like anyone's pancakes but I had theirs every morning 😊. Everything is pretty much 1 mile from the hotel, great location.
Original: Jessica, the front desk worker, is absolutely fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about her. We had some issues when we arrived (no fault of the hotel), she went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of. We haven't had much time to experience the hotel but overall it's quite nice, but everything feels nicer because of the experience we had with Jessica.

The entire experience was excellent! The staff were always friendly, warm, kind, helpful, knowledgeable and reliable.
The decor was luxurious and definitely did not exude any clinical hotel chain vibes.
All in all, I would come back to Hotel Telegraphenamt for my next Berlin visit.

Great aesthetics and location. I had a cosy courtyard room which was reasonably sized for a solo traveller. The bed passed the test and the shower had good pressure.
I had breakfast included in the booking, which came in the form of a buffet with some items prepared upon request. The food didn’t quite match the luxury feeling of the hotel, but it was by no means bad. One minor note is the staff seemed to confuse orders or forget altogether, which may be down to a new system they’d put in place.
When I return to Berlin, I’ll be booking this hotel again.

The truth is that I had an incredible experience with my couple.
The room was very comfortable, we had cocktails at the bar and the staff was friendly and of high quality.
We dined at DieselHouse for a three course dinner and from the first course to the last an impressive game of flavors.
Reception, bar, DieselHouse and Buffet staff super friendly and attentive.
I am grateful to have come across this beautiful place. Thank you!

The hotel is designed beautifully but the rooms are not designed for Asians and Middle Eastern who cares about hygiene, there was no bidets, and the toilet is located separately and far from the shower room (you can’t connect your own bidets). However, I really appreciate Thomas and Liam who were very accommodating and tried to make our stay comfortable by offering us accessible room which has the toilet and shower.
In the same room so we can connect our own bidet.
We paid extra to have a city view room but because of the bathroom situation, I was given the courtyard view which was kinda depressing, specially with the poor lighting in the room.
The breakfast service was very slow and they didn’t fulfill our dietary requirements and requests every time we had the breakfast at the hotel (although the place was not busy).
As well, the fire alarm went off at 1:15 AM and we had to evacuate the building (we had to figure out how to exit by ourselves) which was terrifying experience, they didn’t even give us any explanation about the situation and not even an apology as it was a mistake from the kitchen which we figured out later.

My husband and I stayed one night here and we were very sad we didn’t stay more. We were warmly welcomed at the front desk and every time we walked through the door. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the bed so comfortable. Finally, the breakfast was very good. Would highly recommend.

The hotel has some undeniable highlights, particularly the incredible gym — easily the standout feature and a dream for fitness lovers. The room itself was beautifully designed, and the breakfast spread was delicious and well-prepared. Room service was also very quick and efficient.
However, a number of frustrating issues made the stay less enjoyable. The light switches were oddly complicated, and the shower was installed far too low (at around 175? cm), making it uncomfortable to use. There were also serious lapses in privacy and service — including a random person entering the room while I was sleeping, and inconsistent (even careless) cleaning where trash was left and bottles weren’t cleared.
Breakfast service was also hit or miss; egg orders were ignored and when complained they just returned the same dish 2 minute later, and drinks didn’t match what was requested, wrong ingredients were used. The hotel bar lacked atmosphere, likely due to the low number of guests, and thin walls meant that some sounds from neighboring rooms was a present.
With a few operational improvements and better attention to detail, this hotel could be a top-tier stay — but as it stands, it’s a beautiful place with some serious issues.

A wonderful stay right in the heart of Berlin! The location is perfect for exploring the city, and we had a bolt ride to the Cathedral at night! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety to start the day right. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Berlin!

When I arrived, there were 4 staff at the front desk, one person was helping the guests and the other 3 were chatting and didn’t even bother to greet me or say hello I had to interrupt their conversation to get help. I go to my room and the key doesn’t even work which is super frustrating. They gave me a room with accessibility function — the bathroom door never opens when I need it to or closes, super frustrating. All the of the light switches are not intuitive and also frustrating. Cherry on the top when I called in the morning to ask about breakfast, they said that I couldn’t get the discount because you can only get it at check in. Did anyone ask me about breakfast at check in? Nope. Do yourself a favor and take your money somewhere they actually want to earn it.

My first bad review!
After staying at this hotel in the past, we came back expecting a nice stay. That was not the case.
Our first room the shower did not drain the water at all, so our bathroom was flooded. Switching to our second room, the lights did not work properly and we were not pleased with the room that had no curtains on the windows in front of the shower. Our third room the water in the shower were not hot and was only fixed the day after.
The manager at the reception told us she was informed of the situation, and that’s it.
I was surprised to see the unapologetic attitude. Not a single act of compensation. And not only that, on our check out we were told to pay more than our reservation for city tax which was specifically stated to be included.
We love this hotel and mistakes can happen, but service is the way of correcting mistakes, and in that you failed.

Advertised as a premium hotel/members club but not premium at all. Emails are not replied to, equipment/showers/sauna/lockers/main door is constantly broken with no one to assist as all the trainers have been fired. Food, drinks, coffee is mediocre. The atmosphere is overall cringy as if it’s supposed to be the coolest spot in town but it just fails in every possible way to be so. Members have their thing stolen ie. My friend had his Rolex stolen and the other day I had my AirPods stolen… I could see that my AirPods were moving around in the employee area (where cleaning staff is) so it was clear that cleaning staff had stolen it, yet both the club and hotel denied this and told me to come back the next day “in case they would have magically showed up”. Of course my AirPods later showed to have lastly been seen in Neukölln…
The only reason I am still around is because the gym area is the nicest in this part of Berlin and the trainers (who are still around) make up for the bad atmosphere.
All in all I can’t recommend this place as a member or a hotel guest, unless you want to pay 5-star prices for 2-star service and constantly having to look after you things in fear that I gets stolen by staff.

This hotel looks great as you walk in. Cool, hip lobby. A fun bar. But the fun stops there. The rooms are sparse, with cheap furniture. Lousy showers with little water pressure. No name hair and soap products look to be refilled into large, dented, and clearly re-used pump bottles. Yuck. And, I don’t even want to think about the vaguely sewerage smell coming from the sink. The closet is so ridiculously tiny, that there is a wall of hooks, to hang your garments. We ended up living out of our suitcases for the entire stay. Breakfast is a chore. Virtually impossible to order a coffee — and upon arrival it was cold.
The gym, however, is fantastic. It appears to be a membership club, so the equipment is extensive. Really fabulous. The one plus in an otherwise deprressing stay.
In sum, the “cool factor” is not worth the uncomfortable, depressing stay.
