I stayed at Selina for 8 nights and can't relate to many of the negative reviews here: I stayed at an all female four bedroom dorm. I liked the bunk beds and the privacy that you have as you can close your cabin with a curtain. The reception is friendly and helpful with all sorts of questions and tried to accommodate your needs. I also liked that there is a kitchen and it feels like the equipment and organization of the fridge is well organized and they put attention so that nothing stays without an owner in the fridge. The room and common areas were clean, too. And of course the location is amazing! What I think can be imrpoved are a few things: I saw the cleaning staff in the kitchen cleaning the kitchen with the same sponge that is provided for plates, etc. I think cleaning tools and with what you wash dishes need to stay seperate. There is a private, lockable box inside your bunk bed, and while sleeping I would several times hit my legs against it as it feels to narrow. I would recommend to keep the lockers but outside the narrow sleeping space. Also a towl to dry your hands is missing in the bathroom and in the kitchen area. And you need to pay a security deposit for a towel (5 €) which is totally fine, but you should be able to pay that deposit with card.

Amazing place with really helpful staff. The place has a common kitchen and was very clean. There is also a small kitchen in the room, it is very helpful, especially if you get a takeout. The best part of Selina is the rooftop, which has an amazing view of Alexanderplatz with a bar and an open terrace.

Selina Hotel in Berlin is perfectly located for city exploration. Situated in the heart of Berlin, it's close to major attractions. The staff is exceptionally friendly, making the stay enjoyable. The rooms are comfortable and well-designed, ensuring a pleasant experience. For a convenient and hospitable stay in Berlin, Selina Hotel is a top choice.

The rooms don't correspond the listings and are very unclean, despite the cleaning ladies coming in every day. I stayed for a week and had to ask the reception to get my bed changed (which never happened, btw). The break-fast was good and the location perfect, but for the same price there are better options available around Mitte. One of the cleaners mocked me and my girlfriend because we were a gay couple, which was also very unpleasant. Overall, this hotel doesn't feel like it's being run by competent and professional people.

One of my best experiences from a hotel. Great guys at reception desk, thoughtful service, rooms you want to stay for ever, very good breakfast, good value for money, relaxed and cosy atmosphere, free welcome drink to meet other guests and connect and many other facilities I didn't use (yoga classes, common kitchen, vinyl corner, pet friendly, etc. ).
The hotel is easy to find and close to many public transport options.

So when you arrive to your room, beds are not made up so beware sheets are NOT changed in between guests, trash was overflowing both in the room and the bathroom. Stayed in the first floor, no noticeable noise. Other than that, the bed was comfortable, it has plug adaptors incl. USB inside the locker which was great (you need your own lock), the breakfast was very good and the staff is awesome.

Pros: The staff is really helpful, the breakfast is awesome and the place is really well located.
Cons: Selina is always overpriced but I never cared about it because of the activities they usually offer. Unfortunately, my experience was really different at this one. There is almost no social events (and only one tour option). Tried to get my welcome drink twice and there was no one else at the bar… also tried to join a yoga class and the teacher didn’t show up. Apart from that, the whole hotel is really dirty. I spent my first day in a shared room and there was LOTS of dust in my bed, together with an old pair of socks. The restaurant is also a mess after 9AM. I also need to add that the Wi-Fi is terrible, so don’t expect to work here (at least not in your room).

Everything is made of cheap and plastic materials. The service is nice when there is someone at the front desk, but the rest of the time you have to wait for them to return to the counter.
The place is dirty. In every corner there are full and overflowing trash cans. Carts with sheets and towels are heavily loaded and block the passage to the toilets.
There are mice in the yard and also in the kitchen where we cooked once, after that we didn't dare cook in it again.
In terms of the room, there is not even a rack to hang the body towel after the shower and you have to use the coat rack at the entrance to the room. The room is not scrupulously clean. The freezer is not working well and the ice cream stored in it is melting. The kitchenette in the room is not useful at all. There is nothing in it except a mini fridge. The breakfast was delicious, but there is no reason to stay at these prices in such a bad place with such sanitary problems.

My experience at Selina Berlin Mitte was simply amazing! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the convenient location, with the subway, shops, restaurants and a market just steps away. It made my stay even more enjoyable and convenient.
The apartment I was given was exceptional: clean, bright and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The care with cleaning and maintenance of the place is evident and makes all the difference for the guests.
Also, I had the opportunity to meet very nice people in the common areas, which made my experience even more pleasant.
I recommend Selina to anyone wanting a memorable stay in Berlin. I look forward to returning soon and enjoying this wonderful experience again. Congratulations to the team for the excellent service provided!

Really nice clean hostel, lovely staff and location. Well decorated with very comfortable beds. The only negative would be the key situation as wasn’t explained to us very well so it took a while to figure out. Maybe also group rooms based on age? We had a 50/60 year old man in our room (we’re 18 year old females) and it was just a little bit uncomfortable. But other than that I would definitely stay again and recommend to a friend.

I stayed here for a few days in March and wish I’d been here longer! The staff was incredibly warm and friendly. The facilities were clean, the views from the balcony were fantastic, it’s close to public transit, and they even have free classes! I took the morning yoga class and it was definitely a workout but, it was well worth it. There’s lots of stations to do remote work and even areas to take video calls. I didn’t use the kitchen or attached patio, but they were well kept. Highly recommend!

First of all we want to thank the service stuff for the excellent treatment and their professionalism. They are always nice, welcoming, and willing to help you. The location is perfect and the surrounding area is as peaceful as safe. It is plenty of restaurants and the public transport is at hand.
The only point we would consider that could be changed is the lack of light. During daytime hours it is perfect as the whole building is full of windows. Also, the top floor is amazing. However, at night a little bit more light would be appreciated.
Anyways, we would describe Selina as a perfect place to stay for young people and for the ones looking for places with personality. It invites you to coworking in a modern and chill-out space with lots of facilities.
