I was booked in to a single room, which was small but very cosy and homely. The quality of sleep which I got over 5 days was second to none — very comfortable bed. I love German TV and there were loads of channels available on the television in my room. My little bathroom had everything which I could possibly need — a great shower with super water pressure — lovely! I was worried about slipping in the shower, as I am disabled, but I just put the little bath mat onto the floor of the shower and — problem sorted! The free coffee in the lobby is great and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only negative? I have to say that the standard of housekeeping has declined a little, but when I requested new towels, these were provided immediately. The whole place was very clean anyway, so daily cleaning was not really necessary. Back in 2015 however, all towels were changed daily. This small complaint will most DEFINITELY NOT stop me from returning to 1a Apartment in the future! The location of the guest house is fantastic, just next to the famous Schönhauser Allee, which is packed full of great restaurants and cafes, quirky shops and all the transport links you could possibly want. Don't forget to explore the unique bars and museums in the area also. Travel down the side streets and discover wonderful places to have the best breakfasts you have ever seen — do eat at Gestern Heute Morgen (Yesterday Today Tomorrow) which you will no doubt find with a quick internet search.

Dirty rooms, noisy, poor servic. Cleaning lady seemed to be on vacation for several months…

A nice apartment in Prenzlauer berg. Good situation, not so far away to U2 metro station, and not so far away to Mauerpark, and easy to get S bahn to airport. We sleep well here! ^^

Great location in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, 5 min walk to U2 (3 stops to Alexanderplatz), proprietor was available quickly for check-in and if we needed assistance, nice benefit of coffee and computer for internet in lobby. Will agree with others that shower was a bit awkward (high step up) but functional. All in all, great value for the money and would definitely stay again.

I was very pleased. Very friendly reception upon arrival, really very helpful. My room was clean and well furnished. The connection to public transport is very good. I tried the free hot drinks, but is a still a nice idea. W-LAN has also worked out great.

Lovely room and friendly staff in Prenzlaurberg. Big comfortable bed and armchairs. Shower is maybe a bit awkward but functional. Great communications, with S-Bahn, U-Bahn and Tram around the apartments. There's a 10 minute walk to Mauerpark, which is also very nice. You simply cannot get a better quality for this budget anywhere else.

Wonderful flat, perfect for families. Needs to improve the Wi-Fi signal and to have in house washing machine.

Here Gibs a large nicely furnished room at a relatively small price. The staff is also very friendly!

Exceeded our expectations. Nice spacious room, the bathroom is small but fine;)
Tea and coffee in the entrance area is free of charge!
Very quiet location and good s and Subway connection (3min on foot).
Opposite 24 hrs Supermarket (Mo-sa). No noise nuisance!

Everything's fine, as always. Only smoking in the lobby makes me difficult to create. Everything stinks of smoke:-/

I liked this hotel and I can recommend it to everyone! It is in a great place, because it is central but very quiet. With very good possibilities for transportation or way to access many important places of the city. Even is you can walk to many places of this district full of history and places of diverse life or fashion. Better still is the possibility to go to the famous Mauer-Park with a magnificent sunset on a Bohemian atmosphere, and in nearby areas you can also practice various sports and for free. This legendary neighborhood of Prenzlauer Berg is known for being one of the most interesting architectural and least affected of the city with the second world war. Today is a place of very mesclada people… young people, artists, above all simple people in neighborhood (few tourists) and very safe. In short, could say more, but better compruebenlo yourselves…
