Incredibly friendly staff and rich breakfast. Large room with very comfortable bed. Because of the traffic noise you should close the windows at night, the air conditioning works. Unfortunately no shower, but only tub. The house is getting a bit old, but the staff makes up for it.

Personally I felt “scammed” by the hotel which I had booked! 5 * which is supposed to hold that category in all aspects! even in the mood and ways of acting of its managers! Call the same time it was reported that the fair was canceled, to request change of dates of reservations, taking into account that it is a case of force majeure! Totally null their answer, but the worst is the lack of empathy of THE MANAGEMENT AND COMMERCIAL TEAM! Nothing professional or Solidarity! Disappointed! I think I can say lacking ethics and honesty!

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting this wonderful city. The location is excellent as it is central to shops and tourist attractions. Checkpoint Charlie and the Brandenburg Gate are both accessible on foot.
The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. It had a nice view of the garden and was very quiet.
The breakfast was extensive and very well prepared.
The reception staff were welcoming and the Wi-Fi was good.
Whilst the bar area was very comfortable, trying to get served was a nightmare. As it is table service, we were forced to sit waving our arms around, somethimes for 20+ minutes. Even when we approached the serving area we were told to return to our seats until someone came over. Extremely frustrating, especially when the bar and restaurant were not busy.
If the service had been better, I would have given the hotel 5 stars.

Stay away from the restaurant. They serve hockey pucks for steaks and charge you 15 Euros for a side of 3 small yellow potatoes. Other than that, it’s… fine.

I didn't stay in this hotel but I did go here for a cocktail. I liked the ambiance, service and location. Certainly can recommend this hotel for it's restaurant bar.

Anniversary we stayed at the Westin, rooms are big with amazingly comfortable beds. The service is top class with knowledgeable concierge. Did not have much food but from the small selection we did try it was delicious. It’s a grand hotel as it’s name. It would do with some minor renovation in the bathroom but I’m being to fussy now. The breakfast was amazing with a large variety of food really everything one could desire. The staff were super polite and professional. All in all an impressive hotel and a great place to stay as it’s close to everything by walking. We have one more night to stay but was so eager to share this experience.

This hotel was a wonder in every aspect, it made our stay in Berlin so much nicer. With its central location just a step away from franzosich underground stop and within walking distance of some of the must visit sites and squares, it made it easier for us with a kid to travel around. Needless to say, the service was impeccable, to mention but a few, the staff at reception, the concierge, porters, the staff at the lounge bar and at the breakfast room. Clean interiors, lovely room and also a gorgeous spa area and indoor pool. Unmissable hot chocolate at the bar. Great selection at breakfast. Serviced by 4 spacious lifts so it was never a problem to get the lift. A+.

The hotel is luxurious in every aspect. The lobby, spa, gym and the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The dining in the restaurant and bar are wonderful, offering creative and delicious dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Westin Grand Berlin.

A very classy five-star hotel. I have been here three times and I am always impressed. I've heard from colleagues that they prefer more modern hotels, but I just like the dignified décor. The fact that everything is very clean and that the service is excellent is probably self-evident. Excellent breakfast buffet that leaves nothing to be desired. Hopefully soon again …

Wonderful place to stay with really big comfortable beds! The lobby bar has a nice atmosphere. Easy to order breakfast room service which arrives promptly. We also requested an iron and ironing board which arrived within seconds — we were really impressed. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.

Great hotel but do not book rooms under the Lindens — you have to walk through the hotel forever. Clearly an optical look is the staircase. In the evenings, you can enjoy a drink and a snack in a cosy atmosphere. Wellness Area Top — Fitness area kept small. A great plus is the location + and the friendliness (which you can expect at this price list). + Cars are parked.

Good bathroom layout. Same for the room. Super comfortable bed! Good staff, not too intrusive. This is for the 3rd floor. I cannot comment on the other room categories.

Great hotel, quiet rooms. Unique location. Very nice staff. All our booking requests have been taken into account. Breakfast with 32 Euro p. P. Too expensive. Around the corner there is but very good breakfast.
Only credit card payment is possible when booking with payment in advance. This is very poor service!
Nevertheless, we will come back.

Rooms are clean and big but that might also be because I got a free upgrade by being an Spg member. Nevertheless, the bed was super comfy and I usually don’t sleep well in hotels. Good location for shopping in Berlin. Breakfast also had a ton of options so that was nice. The coffee could be improved though. Overall really great experience!

Charming stay, SPA a little small but wonderful.

It is a really good hotel in a great location, walking distance to many museums and tourist attractions. In addition there is a metro right outside the hotel as well. I stayed in a Deluxe room which is decent size and the bed is great. Why only 4 stars? Bathroom only has a tub with one third covered by a glass separation meaning taking a good shower is hard. Also, the hotel charges 8 euros for using the sauna but the sauna area wasn't that good or clean.

Starting with the quality of the facilities, following with the superb treatment from the staff and finishing with delicious meals, this hotel deserves a good review. Almost everything in this place is thought, planned and very well prepared for the joy of the customer. Very beautiful lobby, comfortable rooms and many details make this hotel a luxurious building full of charm. HOWEVER, everything is not as good as it seems, mainly due to the price, basically you have to pay for every step you take, from the internet, which is not free, unless you are in the lobby to the renting of trainers to do some exercise. The only downside of this place, is that apart from the price that you kindly pay for your room, you will be charge for many other services offered by them. Quite annoying if you mind the price. On the contrary, if you do not care about the money, then this is your hotel.

The location is great, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast good but for me the key is the room in a hotel and for the price there are clearly too many quirks, damage and signs of use (see photos with burn marks, chair, etc. ). In relation to the price therefore for me only mediocre, as I had for half price often similar and better rooms in Berlin. If you were lucky and if necessary. A refurbished room might have had a better rating to justify the luck I probably didn't have.

A nice old hotel, it's imbued with the spirit of Berlin.

There is no bidet and they don't change the sheets. Nice rooms with bathtub but nothing special. The rest of the structure is quite beautiful and monumental, but of course with the prices of a 5 star.

It wants to be 5 stars, so first class, then the sauna should not cost extra. In itself a good hotel, but ultimately a good comfort hotel at 4 star level. Especially as the prices quoted are regularly similar to the more attractive hotels.

Professional staff with outstanding politeness. A great grand hotel with a fine flair. Nice pool to swim to relax after strolling through the streets of Berlin. The location is perfect. Try to get a new room. Oh — and the breakfast buffet is one of the best I ever saw. And I saw a lot. —) )

The hotel is located near the comic opera Berlin. Before the show we go there to have a drink in the cosy lobby or to have a bite to eat. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff. In summer you can also sit outside.

The hotel is in classic old style. Even a few decades old, but still top notch. The breakfast offer is sufficient and leaves little to be desired. The rooms are (as you may expect in this class) very clean. The bathroom is big enough. (Standard Room). However, when booking you should make sure that you want a bathroom with a bathtub (at the same time shower) or just one with shower. The spa area invites you to be pampered. The hotel also has slippers and a bathrobe. The location is excellent. A subway station is also directly in front of the entrance. The staff were always very friendly and were happy to answer our questions.

Business lunch very good. If you want to have a Gespräck at lunch in peace and without hassle, you are right here. Weekly changing Lunch Menu: 2/3 dishes with 1 soft drink and 1 hot drink and a bread basket for 14 €/19 €.

Basically nothing hotel. Stayed there because I am an SPG Lifetime Gold Member. The center is within walking distance. Paphosand and solemnly:-) Like everyone else Westin.

This hotel’s history (including past buildings on the site) has informed its design and architecture. If you stay here, pause for a few moments by the lifts on the ground floor to read some of the interesting facts and see photos of famous past guests. There are three things in particular I have liked about both of my stays at the hotel, totalling 12 nights’ duration. The first is the size of the junior suites—with a large bedroom area, adjoining comfortable sofa, chair and coffee table, and moderately sized bathroom with shower over the bath. Of course this also comes with the usual Westin comforts: Heavenly bed, choice of pillows, and coffee and tea facilities in the room, and free Wi-Fi (which didn’t work for two of the five days on my recent visit). The second thing is a Juliette balcony, of sorts, overlooking the pleasant internal courtyard, which guarantees fresh air throughout your stay. The third and final standout feature of the hotel for me is the excellent breakfast buffet. Other things I like about this hotel: Hotel service is efficient and friendly, from check-in through to concierge, bell desk, and the restaurant staff. On my most recent stay, I found this had improved since my last visit three years ago. The hotel’s location is excellent—very close to public transport and walking distance to major tourist attractions and shopping.

A delightful hotel in the style of the movie "Titanic. " Interior, service at the height. Lots of wood, no plastic. It's a beautiful garden. The centre of Berlin.

Westin Grand has left a very good impression on me, very nice buffet's lovingly arranged plates and also plates, they give their best, always have a smile on their lips. 5 of 5 for 5 * Hotel The passtweiter.

I have no complaints, me and my girlfriend stayed here for a long weekend to see the Christmas markets and it is in the perfect location for them. Our room was well furnished, clean and warm when we arrived. Room service was also fast and professional.

A lovely hotel in a great location. We unfortunately didn't get the room we booked and paid for, and the 'upgrade' was in an annex located in an odd, separate part of the hotel two different elevator rides away (and even decorated differently). But they did their best to give some other perks to make up for it. Live piano music on sat night, good cocktails, comfy beds. What more can you ask for?

All in all, this hotel is worth a visit. Very central location. The entrance area is impressive. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was also very good. We only used the spa once, because the water in the pool itself was too cool for my feeling and you can use the sauna for an extra fee. Also a pity that dirty dishes, which was still not cleared in the evening in front of a room in the morning.

The Westin Grand is a good place to stay! It's got an old-world kind of charm, rooms are generally nice and service is good. The hotel restaurant is decent, but not more. Gym could be bigger, but works ok.

Former Grand Palace under the GDR, it is a very nice hotel. Quiet and spacious.
The chandelier is impressive and as big as the height of the hotel!

Before I was finished with the Strernegeben, it was already gone and sent. I found this bad and didn't want to post any more opinions.

The hotel is in a fabulous location in Berlin. It's close walking distance to many of the main tourist attractions in the city, as well as close to a train station. There are many, many shops and restaurants in the area for a variety of wants and needs. The lobby of the hotel is gorgeous, and the staff is kind and helpful. My issue (and why I can only give three stars) is due to the rooms. My room is a long walk from the elevator. In fact, I have to take an elevator to the second floor, then take another elevator back to the first floor to reach my room. I will need to provide about 10 minutes with luggage to walk to the lobby. This is only an inconvenience, however upon check-in, I found a pair of red underwear on the heater in the room. This led me to give a thorough inspection of the room and I am not confident that this room was properly cleaned prior to check-in. I notified the front desk and they had someone promptly come to remove the underwear. Overall, it's a great location, just give the room a thorough check before you settle in.

The Westin is a wonderful hotel that delivered a truly relaxing experience. The check-in was quick and staff were very helpful and friendly. The room with a queen size bed and a garden view was spacious and well-equipped. I slept very well in the comfortable bed. All things considered I will definitely stay here when I visit Berlin again.

It's just ok. I've stayed in cheaper hotels that were nicer, which is why I only gave this 3 stars. Everything is decent quality but at a very high price. Our room overlooked the dumpsters which didn't smell very nice, so the tiny balcony wasn't worth using. They also charged us $120 Euro extra for a 3rd person, which was to sleep on a small two section cot that was very uncomfortable due to the huge crack down the center. The room was so small you had to crawl over the cot to get to the other side of the room. Overall, just disappointed in what I was hoping would be a superior hotel experience.

Lovely staff, well kept room and pool. The towels could be bigger and the pool warmer. The breakfast is pretty expensive and the Wi-Fi isn't free, €15 a day is crazy, this is 2017 people! Then cocktails from the bar are good — I dare you to try a Zombie There's a lounge pianist who plays in the atrium which adds a lovely atmosphere to the place. 4 stars, would recommend.

Great hotel in the heart of Berlin. The junior suites are very spacious and great for families. Delicious breakfast was served on the first floor. The staff is very friendly and helpful. No lounge but good lobby bar with outdoor seating.

Amazing and attentive staff! The room was large with a very comfortable bed. The location is very convenient downtown with only short walks to many historical sights, grocery stores, train station and fantastic bars and restaurants.

We loved our stay at the Westin Grand Berlin. Location was excellent for visiting many significant sites in the City. Staff were very helpful and professional and happy to speak to us in English. Our room was very comfortable and servicing each day was of a very high standard.

Luxury Hotel of great charm and elegance, designed a century ago with undoubted modernity, equipped with every comfort, quiet, in the center, just perfect. Excellent value for money. Breakfast is very expensive, but it is in fact a lavish lunch.

This is an older hotel in the heart of Berlin with a lot of class and panache. The room is spacious and clean, and the bed is very comfortable. I have a nice view of the interior garden and I'm really enjoying the air conditioning after walking to all the nearby museum and monuments today. I'll get up early and eat some fresh bread and fruit from the luxurious breakfast bar.

A dream place… friendly staff, cleanliness done perfectly, the rooms are big and very acuratti in the details.

Very nice lobby with stairway and pianist playing in the evening. Clean and good size rooms. Excellent spa and massage service with a very scenic round pool.

What about… great Hotel. Large, spacious, comfortable rooms. Well connected, you can even do less than the meter if not for medium-long trips.

Superb Hotel in the centre of Berlin. The best breakfast ever, and I've seen so many of hotels. Wellness Centre with sauna and fitness room. Cozy and well-appointed rooms with comfy beds and right temperature. Bath at the height. Only drawback for which I don't put the 5 stars is the slightly low temperature of the pool water. Adequate but demanding prices.

Ideally located in the heart of Berlin, just a few hundred metres from "Checkpoint Charlie", this 5-star hotel offers high-performance amenities!
Gym and Round pool are open to all guests.
The bar offers a lot of cocktails and the staff are very small.
And the central staircase, at the entrance, offers a magnificent view of the 6 floors of the hotel, covered by a canopy.
For the curious, on the sixth floor, it is possible to access a terrace, offering a beautiful view of the city!

Very nice hotel, well placed between the Brandenburg Gate and the museum island.

Besides English speaker friendly staff, attentive service, this hotel offers valet service + plenty of parking space in front of the hotel for temporary parking, free breakfast. Not to mention of a classic movie trilogy Bourne's identity was shot here. Bourne fans will know.

Reliably good service from the front desk to the cleaning powers. Always friendly, courteous, and the room are also thoroughly maintained. One of my favorite hotels in Berlin.

I stayed here on business trip twice last year, on rooms, facilities and services are very satisfactory. From the hotel is convenient for the main attraction, surrounded by many shops. From the perspective of business travel, has a lot of jacks in the room, I enjoyed this, bedside table next to a. Bed and desk are standard style of Westin. Only small downside is that Wi-Fi can't go there on the last day, I only use my phone's data roaming, and then connected with the iPad. Room service affordable.

A wonderful place to stay, where the staff really look after you and make you feel warmly welcomed. A very good price for a few days. We had the deluxe room, which was divine and spacious. Free Wi-Fi is in the lobby, which suited us but is very expesive from your room. Highly recommend it!

The hotel located in a perfect location, in the middle of the city, easily transportation around, perfect for vacation and business : 100-200 buses, underground subway, 20 meters from the hotel, 5 minutes walking from Alecsanderstrasse station, big hub for underground subway and trains include express train from airport. Breakfast is amazing, all what you could dream and wish. Rooms are perfect comfortable as Westin all over. But has some negative aspects: The attitude of some of the stuff is not as you see in far east, they will be very polite but there patient is disappeared as you ask the same question again, they loose patient very quickly not as in far east Westin hotels. We, 8 peoples, been in hot weather in Berlin, 36° — 40°, horrible, most places no airconditio, In the hotel the airconditon in rooms is perfect but no aircondition in breakfast room, horrible. Must have air condition in breakfast room especially on hot days, it was a disaster that spoil breakfast for me and my friends, 8 peoples. Bar tenders in loby floor didn't want easily serve water and ice to me and my friends on those hot days, all 3 bartenders were not happy to serve the water. Can't understand this. They asked me to order ice in my room. Very unusual and not expected. Thank Simone Baizza, one of stuff, for her kind listening and support we could have one room, of 4, until late, very nice of her to do so.

Fantastic location and has a great historical feel. My room was a standard Westin room. But the hotel itself has beautiful architecture and is located right near many monuments as well as a great shopping district. I hope to stay here again.

Try to get a room on 6th floor.

At the reception, the staff are unprofessional, poorly trained. You
are unfriendly, no bit hospitable. They take their duties seriously. Rather they chew each other out. The radiator did not work in the room. Message will be sent immediately, but after a day until late afternoon of the craftsmen. The mattress was too soft, so I in the fell limp almost on the ground. The hotel is located in the Centre and in the best location.

No free Wi-Fi very disappointing for a 5 star hotel. Tea, eight euro for one cup. Most expensive tea in the world? Otherwise, it's a fine hotel. Very clean and comfortable rooms in a good location.

I sometimes use the hotel, because it is in walking distance to my business location. Overall the rooms are too expensive for a hotel in Berlin. Staff is very well trained. Everything else in this hotel is standard. Wi-Fi is not fast and you even have to pay extra for access. Rooms are ok but again meet the minimum requirements of a 5 Star hotel.

I was delighted, just look at the photos and we see that it is quality.

We were Westin as day guests now between the years in the Spa of the Grand emotion. The pool is nice, everything is clean and spacious, the fitness equipment are prima — overall it was a successful visit.
However, architecture and design of the spa are somewhat Spartan failed, bar and gym an unused area yawning empty I up, because you could organize a small ball.
Annoying, I found only if you get only a thin Handtüchlen with an entry of 65 euro for 2 persons and to fork out for another 3 euros. Ditto cost incurred for bathrobe, slippers, and for Wi-Fi you should be asked again to checkout.
One could work on pricing so still in the spa — and am also mention space in front of the bar.

We were the last weekend in emotion Spa at the Westin Grand Hotel. About GroupOn we had vouchers for SPA entry + aroma oil massage get. My friend gave this birthday I get. It was a really beautiful day. The staff were very well informed in the voucher, reservation worked also super and the massage was a dream. We were isolated and no longer had to be feeling in the middle of Berlin. Thank you for the experience of lasting forever.

Organized a birthday dinner for my friend at Westin. The service was äißerst friendly and obliging, the establishment of the foyer and the restaurant is very appealing. Birthday, we handed our fruit cocktail, who went to the House. Very much recommended.

Great hotel, but not now that what it really wants to be. Are about Christmas here, hotel has but for the own hotel guests don't even place at Christmas dinner, very pretty weak. With extra costs connected to sauna and Wi-Fi. And the pool is min 10 ° C what matters for the entire pool area too cold. The breakfast is class. BEDS too soft.

Just a regular hotel in berlin. Nothing pretentious or special. Rooms are nice and service is fine. Recommended if you just want something in downtown.
