Here there was nothing to complain about, we felt very comfortable and recovered well!
The motze of some guests was totally wrong but the hotel can't do anything about it!

Ver nice hotel. Location on the lake is great. Everything is clean. The interior design is special, I would call it outdated, but other people like it. Great to have a pool inside and outside.

Lovely hotel directly located at the Lindau harbour, ferry station and train station. Nearly all rooms have air condition. One indoor and one outdoor pool are available. The luxury hotel has a restaurant with several divided rooms and a cafe. Room service is also available. Parking: the hotel has limited parking space, so you should order it in advance. Fee starts from 14 EUR a day. Parking is possible at train station as well for 9 EUR a day.

We were really looking forward to our 3 course dinner. However as soon as we looked at the menu our faces started to become sad. Only from the menu that didn’t deserve its price. For first — apsic or something like this — unbeatable thing with meat. How it is possible to have only meat starter? I would be happy just with salad leaves instead of this but waiter sad — not your dish? WELL if you see that I don’t touch it maybe you at least offer something else? But instead we ate bread and asked for more that waiter pretend not to hear. Fish for main — frozen and tasteless. The only our happiness was dessert — cheese plate. Thanks god otherwise we would have to go to eat somewhere else after this expensive nothing. Service is really slow in both meanings. Paying for 3 course menu we assumed that water is included apparently we also paid 10 euro more for 2 bottles of water. All this is unacceptable for good hotel. About a room — we were coming to see the lake from our window, not wall of building after hotel. Incredible.

It is a great hotel with great views but everything is adding extra cost to the reservation. Parking, breakfast, visitor taxes (it is the first time I see “visitor” taxes being added on a German hotel) and even the “spa” usage rate (which I never used) is added to the cost. I think all of these things should be included on the room rate. However, the service is truly outstanding and the staff is really nice. The breakfast, although crazy expensive (15 euros for cheese, ham, coffee, fruit and bread… seriously? ) is good, and the views and location of the hotel really are worth it. It was a nice experience but if you’re traveling on business purposes I wouldn’t recommend it, heavy traffic everyday to go into the Island and plus you can’t take advantage of all the commodities in the hotel. For leisure I would definitely recommend it.

The excellent view of the small harbour and the corresponding part of Lake Constance are particularly impressive. Also the different ice cream cups that we ordered there were really tasty and well filled with fruits.
It was a pity that the staff was apparently understaffed: although the waiters tried to do their job, many wishes remained open for too long and too many abandoned tables remained untidy. After all, the sparrows and their observers were able to enjoy this.

Affordable luxury on the shores of the Bodensee. This was our view from breakfast, which was excellent, including everything from Mettwurst to Frosted Flakes. The room was nicely outfitted with a refrigerator and functional AC. Friendly staff. Parking onsite for an additional cost.

We felt very comfortable in the A-Z hotel. The Rooms are very clean, the Staff are extremely friendly and courteous. We are very happy to come back.

We don't book this hotel class all the time … As you would expect in this price range, everything was very well maintained with fresh floral decorations and a touch of luxury. All in sum, everything is perfect. We had a great time. Happy again.

We especially enjoyed the great Location of the Hotel, with a breathtaking View of the Lake and the Mountains with an exquisite Breakfast or while Swimming in the beautiful pool. As you would expect in this Price Range, everything was very well maintained with fresh Floral Decorations and a Touch of Luxury. A Little more Cordiality and a little less Attitude with some Employees would do the Atmosphere good, but maybe this is also needed here as Self-protection against the Snakefulness of some Guests.

We stayed at the café of the Bavarian court to sit comfortably, enjoy the view and drink some coffees.
The view is really madness! You can see directly in the Harbour Basin, see the Lighthouse and the lion of Lindau and see wonderful people and boats.
The café in itself was unfortunately not really special… The service was very stressed and even here and there something sloppy, so we always had to wait very long for our orders and sometimes the service came again and had to ask what we had ordered again.
The coffee was of normal quality. Have already drunk better but even worse.
The highlight of the café is absolutely the view and it is worth it to go there alone.

A very good restaurant, but the menu at the festival is more than just a short time. If you want to Apero a marathon, you can still reach the water taxi safely.

Very clean hotel with nice wellness and outdoor area at an exclusive location. The fitness area is unfortunately more than skimpy! The food is outstanding. The service, however, is extremely inattentive, forgetful and the little stuffed restaurant. Conclusion. With 5 stars absolutely overrated however certainly worth a visit!

Very nice hotel in perfect location right next to the train station and with unbeatable view of the lake. Highlights for us were the breakfast buffet and the hotel's own swimming pool.

Great old hotel with outstanding service. The location is directly opposite the main train station so super convenient with your luggage. Check in staff are great and see you off to your room quickly and efficiently. Dining room for breakfast is stunning looking out to the lighthouse and lion. Beware it will get full early so be prepared to wait if you arrive a little towards the end of the service.

Nice big rooms, clean and silent. Staff very nice and polite. Wi-Fi not fast and reliable. Only 4, 5/1, 4 in down and upload speeds isn't something to boast about.

Very upscale ambiance, unfortunately there were problems on our floor with the WLAN. Very nice and helpful staff and from the breakfast room you can look directly at Lake Constance and the Da Hinterliegenden mountains. All in all, the hotel is highly recommended.

Excellent hotel in a prime location, kitchen and service can also delight. Very nice spa area, good value for money. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We were over Christmas guest with the whole family at this hotel and also enjoyed the Christmas menu.
The room was very nice and spacious. Our dog was also allowed to participate for a fee.
The maid service was very good and also the cleanliness at the hotel top.
The breakfast was a bit disappointing.
Every morning we had to impose ourselves so that we could get a coffee and the search for the place was not always so easy.
It was partly very crowded and the choice of food was not particularly outstanding.
For me the breakfast is not worth more than 3 stars.
Then we come to the Christmas dinner which was very disappointing for us.
It came to us like a mass event! We were deeply disappointed and also the food was not worth a Christmas dinner.
You could not talk about coziness and Christmas flair. It would have been nice if at least a little bit of Christmas music had been played.
There was only a single menu once with the choice of fish or meat. In addition, we were not informed in advance when the food takes place and what exactly there is, only in the afternoon before the meal we knew!
One evening before we asked the concierge at the front desk. This one gave us completely different information about Christmas Eve when it was on the information leaflet in the hotel room. 6pm as the start for the dinner we found very early. And actually, we thought we had a little more choice in the food.

The hotel is a wonderful and lovely place with friendly staff, nevertheless the owner urgently has to take care of some details as follows: 1. Cleaner beddings 2. Working lamps and done repair work after the guest has complained about it 3. Cleaner spa area All these things are unfortunately not worth a five star hotel. Though, we'll be back soon.

Excellent location, very spacious room, bathroom with bathtub/shower, comfortable bed, courteous staff, very nice pool and spa breakfast and restaurant discreet.

Although the building is old, it is very well maintained. Excellent location. Everything is clean and tidy. Must try their breakfast. It is not overwhelming you with different items of food but all foods are fresh and good quality.

But unfortunately, there is a lack of reasonable business.

The location is unique: directly at the train station and at the lake. From my room I had a great view of the tower and Lions.
The room (336) is large and with all amenities. However, the door to the room (there is an entrée) always went to, I had to put my shoe in between to keep the door open. I've reported this.
It is worth considering whether the communication with the cleaning staff could be improved for the rooms. Since I only stayed twice, it would not have been necessary to change the bedding after the first night.
Breakfast is plentiful and served in a stylish restaurant. The view from the lake is priceless.

The restaurant was very comfortable and the bed was very comfortable. Was just a night flat. Training in Lindau there. The location of the hotel is very good.

This is an exceptional hotel. I have stayed here at least once a year since 2012 and look forward to each visit very much. The location on the harbour front at Lindau looking over Bodensee towards the Austrian alps is superb. What is particularly outstanding about this hotel is the warm and extremely professional service. To achieve this level of service consistently over a six-year period is quite something!

Hotel Bayerischer Hof is a grand old hotel with excellent rooms and modern facilities. It is ideally located in the prime port position at Lindau, immediately opposite the railway station. The staff and service are first class!

I attended a dinner and a meeting (didn't stay overnight) The food was excellent and the dining room was very pleasant with an amazing view of the Port.

Great location right in front of the port of Lindau, you will for sure enjoy the stunning view from the room or from the restaurant/breakfast room. Walking distance to everywhere on the small island. Rooms are big enough and comfortable, in a very old fashioned style (you have to like it though). Although rated 5 star, I would only rate it as a good 4 star hotel — attention to details is not there, and bar is closing very early. Limited amenities in the room. Variety at breakfast is appreciated. Seminar rooms are also on good level and the bigger rooms enjoy the view to the port.

The hotel location is very good, and from the outside it looks very nice. We had a room with a good view of the marina. However for a 5* hotel for which we paid €292 for one night I was disappointed. For such a price a customer should expect excellency which the hotel did not provide. Here a few points that need to be improved: — The check in was not very friendly or service orientated — There was a note in the room from 1 employee to another employee complaining about shifts — The bathroom was not 100% clean (hairs in the bath) — 5 minutes into the room, someone came in to fill up the minibar, this should have been done before! — In the bathroom there is a open spot in the floor where water from the shower passes, the look of this represents a 1* hotel. — We visited a wedding that day in the hotel, despite the group not being that large, they were not able to serve the food at a good pace. 1/3 of the 70 guests had already finished the dinner whilst another 1/3 was still waiting for their food. (it was a menu with only 2 options) — Some people at the restaurant service were really good and friendly, but a few need improvement. When asking for more water you don't simply put a closed bottle on the table, you open it and poor some water into the glasses!

Scenic location at the lake, very nice staff and services. Can't complain.

We booked a room with the garden view which overlooks the swiming pool area from our covered balcony. The room and the bath as well as the rest of the Hotel are very clean. The downside is the breakfast buffet. The Dining room has a fantastic view of the Harbor but the Food itself leaves somthing to be desired for a hotel of this caliber. The buffet was more Fitting a roadside inn rather than a 4 star hotel. Our confidence in the evening menu was taken aback so that we ate at the resturants in the City. I would stay at this hotel again only if they offered a Price for the room only.

Nice and clean hotel, but lacking in atmosphere. Granted, I was there during the low season, where I was also disappointed to find that the bar was closed without notice on the booking website. In winter the area around the hotel is virtually closed.

The summer of 2012, several times Cake and eat here are mostly very good. Thanks to the beautiful location directly on the harbour of Lindau is always a lot going on and sometimes it's just a number. The prices are for this location is quite ok. The summer of 2011 several times.

Location is great. Definitely get a lake-facing room. The main disappointment was the included breakfast — — it it served in a convention-style room, where only a few tables have a view of the lake. When we arrived, only tables in the back were available and no one was at the door to greet us and explain the situation (it remains a mystery to me in which German restaurants you just sit, and where you asked to be seated — — there is never a sign and we typically get it wrong). So, we decided to bail on the "industrial" breakfast and instead have coffee and breakfast at the delightful outside cafe that is attached to the hotel, but the service there kindly informed us that we could not use our "included" breakfast there. That just seems ridiculous. So, we were a bit fed up and walked down the street and paid for breakfast at another of the many cafes with a great morning view of the harbor.

We were totally satisfied with the Hotel Bayerischer Hof a very nice location directly on the lake, it is highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bayerischer Hof Lindau. The hotel is perfectly situated on the water and only a one minute walk from the Bahnhof. The hotel room itself was extremely clean, spacious and comfortable and included all the special touches you would expect of a hotel of this quality. The many historic sketches and paintings of German town landscapes add to the hotel's charm. The selection and quality of the buffet breakfast offerings was above average. The dining room provides a beautiful view of the waterfront. We took full advantage of the large pool found on the grounds just off the waterfront. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
