Pretty nice place. For everybody. Adults, kids, seniors.

The restaurant is very good. Were there at the barbecue. Delicious. Wide choice. I can't say anything about the hotel.

Price poor quality.
Only point the location of the hotel for the rest really not satisfied and especially the room.
Very small shower.
Too expensive for what it is.

Extremely poor operation. Very unfriendly dealings with a family and two toddlers. Just because there is mainly older semester sepered there one does not make friends with this behavior. If you don't show up with a Bentley, but with a stroller, you can still secure your job tomorrow. All in all very disappointing despite beautiful well-known scenery.

Organisation and management leave a lot to be desired. Staff struggle, but there is a lack of organisation.
Makes more from the outside, as it gives inside.
It's a pity, because the location is actually very nice.
Is not a four-star hotel, I have already experienced better three star hotels. Price/performance is very very bad.
Too bad, because the place is already beautiful.

Was there for brunch on Sunday. One of the most beautiful places in the area. The food was excellent and versatile. The service was great. The young man who served us was fast, very friendly and accommodating. All our wishes would be dealt with immediately. So I imagine a wonderful day at Lake Constance. Always happy.

Nice location, good prices.

Unfortunately, cyclists are not welcome. Wanted lunches were waited after 15min and, on request, not served. At least 5 waiter suburb and occupancy was very low.

Very friendly staff and helpful. Very nice rooms and amenities. The location of the hotel is simply fabulous and there are several options for transport. Right on the lake, what more could you want.

There is no better description for this hotel. You feel a bit transported back in time, but positive. The hustle and bustle of modern times with smartphones and co is left behind when you enter the Hotel Bad Schachen and simply pampered by the staff and the excellent cuisine. We always like to come to the Hotel Bad Schachen!

Beautyful view over the lake of Constance, exceptionell service, friendly waiters and good spirit. Food fine, drinks superb, all in all very recommandable!

The House has a beautiful view of Lake Constance and the ambiance is very pleasant.

Great place at the lake. Old Hotel very expensive for what is offered. Best is the renovated swimmingpool and wellness. A single bedroom is really very very small room 441 for example. Nice Staff.

The hotel and also a stay here are more reminiscent of a sanatorium (of any treatments or treatment times aside). You feel back to another time…
This is located on the historic building with its own charm, which is nestled in a sprawling park, which in turn stretches beautifully along the lakeside.
I can only speculate whether the service suffers from the fact that the hotel remains closed over the winter months and is then repeatedly engaged in seasonal forces. On the one hand, one endeavors, on the other hand, not everyone is granted extra sausage.
In the end, however, it doesn't matter to me, because spending a few summer days here is definitely a nice experience that should not be tarnished by anything.

Nice hotel with a clear renovation jam. The rooms do not correspond to the declared standard for a long time. Great breakfast buffet, also the afternoon tea is worthwhile. The 4 stars are there vot all due to the great location right on the lake. Difficult situation if you want to create your own boat on the jetty.

Very romantic Hotel with a beautiful interior. Service is not assessable as company holidays.

To visit the Lindenhof Park, already 1840, on the Bavarian Riviera of Lake Constance at Bad Chessen/Lindau, is recommended at any time of the year. An old tree stock, one of the most beautiful views over Lake Constance to the Alps will delight you.

Pitoreskes very nice house, which puts you in former, Grand Times. Wonderful park and direct lake access with view of the peninsula. The breakfast buffet is very good, the service friendly and helpful. Modern medium-sized wellness facility with 2 saunas, steam bath, swimming pool (rather cool) and the usual spa treatments. A pity that during our stay (weekend) not a single beautician was there, although the hotel was well staffed. The one masseuse was then booked too quickly. For a spa weekend with the family (we would have booked several treatments) so not recommended. Luckily the weather was nice, otherwise we would have been bored!
The modernized rooms are top. My room, which was not yet renovated, was ' nice ', but had a (rather short) bed with a mattress and a practically empty pillow. More than 2 nights I would not have wanted to sleep in it.

Beautiful setting great food.

It was a very good hotel full with good amenities. Breakfast was quite good. The location was very very good, right along the lake and it was a 5 minute cycle ride/20 minute walk along the water to the island town of lindau which was full of shops and restaurants. Both the indoor and outdoor pool were very good and the sauna and steam rooms are well equipped with everything one might need.

Very nice hotel! Staffs are nice and helpful and always wear a warm smile! Dinner was delicious. I especially like the buffet breakfast, which had variety selections, while you can sit out door watching the lake and enjoying the food, it's gorgeous!
I also enjoyed the surrounding, try to have a walk in the park nearby in the morning, that made you feel you're in the wonderland!

Awesome charming place. Personel made the biggest impression. All so sweet, polite and going out of their way to help. I was fortuate to be there on a first sunday of the month where they serve an outstanding prize-worthy breakfast buffet. Whoever put this buffet together deserves a medal. It was elegant, very tastefully done, partitioned into clearly separated and beatifully presented sections giving guests plenty of room to move about and plan their attack. So u walk in a…nd on ur right and left are two small stands with the ordinary egg stuff incl omelet stand. Also there were two heated silver containers with boiled peeled fingerling potatoes and a large jar of mustard. No ketchup though? Continue straight ahead and u bump into a beatifully arranged brew-ur-own organic tea stand complete with cute tea pots and steepers, old style scolding hot water dispensers, a large variety of special sugars and a selection of 12 glass containers with organic teas. Slurp, mmm. Sipping from Greana Gustl as im writing this. Its a local put together green tea mix. Making a left into a larger and brighter room, ure now in food heaven. Yougurt: 10 varieties of yogurt and creamy german dairy products with even more choices of granola, seeds and dried fruits and marinated prunes. Meats: Sausages, salamis, hams, salmon, herrings, sliced cheeses, an awesome horseradish sauce. All delicately sliced. Cheese: Wow.

Very peaceful and relaxing environment, perfect to wind down. Was raining when I went but can imagine to be even more beautiful in summer time.

The hotelrooms are very nice with a great view from the lake side rooms. The indoor pool area will leave you relaxed with comfortable chairs/benches, water and tea in addition to the pool. As often with 4-5 star hotels, everything sadly including the staff is a little stiff and the restaurant is one of the expensive ones with little portions with great names for the food.

Good hotel in a fantastic location
My room 408, Junior Suite, not very large, but sufficient. With a very nice view of the lake.
I wanted to stay four nights, but after two lost nights and one morning, I left early. It was so that there were disturbances of considerable proportions, which could be heard in bed and unfortunately caused by vibration/vibration, not to be suppressed by earopax.
I was then shown a room for the third night, but I wasn't sure if these disturbances here in bed were the same ones I suffered two nights. I wanted to spare myself this bad experience and also the hotel.
Although the management was able to convince myself of this disruption on the second day, I should pay for the two days stolen, just disgusting, so deal with customers who might have come several times a year.
As a frequent traveller with more than 3000 overnight stays in more than 1000 hotels, I have far above-average experiences. Many GMs were very interested in my criticism, which they felt analytically, well-founded and empathetic in long personal conversations.
This poor complaint management leads to devaluation. A manslaughter argument like "You're the first to claim something like this" is a no-go in serious customer conversation. It was bad that a guest should suffer such a thing, but worse was the reaction of the management.

Well, the hotel is not bad, it just old. Old enough to reveal the shabby rooms and the smell generated by such a rooms! The other negative side is overpriced rooms! I would usually pay 1.5 times less in other hotels of this category. The parking is not free either (€9), although there is a lot of ground to place your car. Internet is weak and slow. The positive side is the breakfast: It is pretty abundant with nice decoration and good service.

Fantastic hotel and a great location right on the lake. The restaurant had a great view of the lake as well. The service was first class and the included spa and sauna was very relaxing. Wi-Fi works in room with very good connection (other reviews said only works in the lobby but they must have made updates recently). Would definitely stay again if I'm in the area.

The ladies of the reception are very unfriendly and arrogant!

We wanted a tour for our wedding by! As 1. We had 40 minutes on the Lord wait. He has not once apologized for us. Dan was a lady selte. It took us 5 minutes through the house. We were simply not taken seriously. Probably because we are not after money stink! No Thank you, we will not have our wedding celebration! For a 4 star Hotel, Service is very bad! No Recommendation!

The Restaurant serves only 10 of 40 tables outside and you're waiting over an hour before getting a table with food. You sit at a table but only drinks. And in a 4 star Hotel. No Recommendation.
