Nice hotel, great food and ambience.

I like to be a guest in the Crown again and again. It is a special place with a great team that makes the stay exactly as you wish. Again and again I get to know new guests and come into conversation with them.
It can't be better.

The food was very good. The Service, however, is defective, the salad came first to the wrong table, twice. The Boss forgot 2 times to order the Appetizer, we were never able to eat together. When the main course finally came, it was not the ordered "well done sirloin steak", but a different court. Then I had to wait until my sirloin steak fried, while my Partner already ate. Then finally came the sirloin steak, but it was medium instead of "well done"… also was the hash Browns burned and I was so sold, as if it wanted to, and I had the choice between brown and bright Parts. In fact, it was the hash Browns are almost black and I have on the plate, that I it do not see. When the bill was us wine is calculated, and then at first not believed, we are not drunk, even though the Serviertochter before even the unused glasses took away. It serve 4 people confused without what to write down, even at the next table were the wrong things. The Boss is interested in a zero for the operation, and sat the whole evening by the regulars at the table. For all the inconveniences of then had the Serviertochter apologize. In a stylish Restaurant takes over the boss. After all, it was us and then a Dessert adopted. In addition, is actually 2016 is still hemmunglos in the next room puffed! Overall, the good food and the bad Service barely made up for it. For a Restaurant in the price range make this posturing is shameful.

We had a very pleasant evening. The service was attentive and the food was really excellent. We would love to come back.

As the whole area between Switzerland, Germany and France being one of my old stamping grounds (they call it the Regio) I can only emphasize how extraordinary the food experience is at the restaurant Krone (The Crown)! The host Sonja Hechler has taken over the very traditional family business and has carefully managed the transition from classic to contemporary. A true jewel in the above mentioned "Regio". Don't miss the Carpaccio, it is a revelation in itself, follow it by any other divine item on the menu and let sommelier Elena chose the matching wine for you. Perfect lunch or dinner done.

Nice and cosy bed and Breakfast in the vicinity of Basel. We have a birthday with fine food and friendly service can enjoy. The Restaurant is very popular and therefore Reservations are recommended.

We spontaneously came over against 18 o'clock. The Restaurant was not fully occupied, but since we have not had reserved, we were by a lady unfriendly way again sent. The other operation would have like to have a table replaced the 20 p. M. Was reserved, but the colleague did not want to. The entrance and the way to the toilets, do not look sooo exclusive, such as the Restaurant in many travel guides. A rather bad experience. We had more hospitality.

The food is flavorful and of good quality, but for the price not appropriate. My sirloin steak "café de Paris" for 27, 50 EUR has been with French fries (commercial frozen French fries) with spinach and served. The spinach was a little spicy, the fries just finished. The meat was tasty, but not what I for the money expect. The Service is however more difficult to assess. The food of our neighbours was on our (! ) Table turned on, without asking, whether it bothers us. In a cheap Locally, I think that's okay, but at one price of approximately EUR 40/p. P. I expect a bit more style.
