The food was so delicious. We had goose, onion roast and cordon bleu. As a starter a snack board for 2 people. Easily enough for 4 people. The service was extremely friendly.

Delicious and homemade freshly prepared food, quaint atmosphere. Nice service, and we still didn't get a place we had reserved (which is recommended! ).
The only drawback: the portions could be a bit larger.

Fabulous backyard garden. Perfect for our family and friends to meet in either large or small groups.

On 20.6.2019 with a tour group for dinner: great ambience, very attentive staff. As a vegan I got Mediterranean, braised vegetables with basmati rice because the vegetable run in the menu baked with feta, unfortunately was not vegan. The waitress served me a bowl of fresh strawberries as compensation for the erroneous menu. Everything tasted very tasty.

Pfifferlinge in cream sauce with dumpling was amazingly good. Loved the spare ribs & the crispy-skinned pork (gravy on this was delicious! ) Potatoes, picked coleslaw & salad very good too. Very pleasant evening spent in the courtyard with this great food & tasty home brewed beer then up to out comfy room for the night.

Waiting for over 20 minutes without being acknowledged by any of the waiters. After one finally came, she put a reserved sign on the table and told us we had to leave… abolutely scandalous! Better look elsewhere if you care about human decency.

— Stayed in the upper location, above a former old-style restaurant. The smell of old kitchen-fat when entering the building was terrible. — no elevators, no air-condition, no mini-bar (even the fridge in the hall way didn't work) +/ — beds good, but for the price (134 eur excl breakfast) I would have expected more!

Only went to the restaurant after a walk down from the castle. The servers were harried and paid little attention to the smaller tables. Food was decent for the price but lacked flavor. The beer was not what I was anticipating when I asked for a Pilsner. The beer was gritty with a flavor of hops extract, almost like an IPA. The salads were bountiful and had a huge variety of flavors. Overall, a solid 3 of 5… but nothing special.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. Narrow and steep staircase and (good) kitchen smells (room above the kitchens of the restaurant zum Seppl). Beautiful view over the Castle.

Very good, we eat very well but it is very expensive, too expensive.

Had our dinner as part of a business excursion at the Heidelberg Cultural Brewery. All the colleagues were unexceptionably enthusiastic about the good food. The homemade noodles were mega! Service was very good and there was nothing to complain about.

Have been there for several years now, but such a good advice as from waiter Christian we have not had yet! From US 5 stars for exemplary service!

Fantastic beer for those who love beer and eat classic German… prices very reasonable… when I am in Heidelberg, it is a pleasure to have lunch and enjoy a bit of the atmosphere of a deutshen brauerei.

I have already eaten the Baden roast fry and I have to say that he always succeeds very well. Only the plates with meat and encampments were too little warmed, so you have to eat fast. The Wiener schnitzel is also very good, with fine and crispy breading. However, the fried potatoes were anything but a treat. They were very soft and trieften in fat. Our operation was really on Zack, has noticed from the corner of the eye, if you wanted to order something else. You don't wait too long for his food. The double mousse as dessert was also delicious.

The beer is very good, but the service is getting worse and the operator leaves only large groups of shops and tourists in. As before, just drink 2 3 beer and maybe what snacking is not desired. Would even be asked to leave when we wanted to eat nothing and that during the week.

The beer is excellent but actually I thought the food was more noteworthy. Highly recommended.

Great, real German brewery.

I'm not sure where all these negative reviews come from. Really nice food, really quick and friendly service at a reasonable price. And we went on Christmas Day! All the people moaning about the price — yes you can get Schnitzel three euro cheaper elsewhere but is it any good? Or are you just a self important idiot?

Food and drinks are of good quality. Prices are slightly higher. The atmosphere is very cosy. Friendly staff.

Delicious German cuisine with an additional very quaint ambience! All dishes are very hearty and you definitely get tired of it! You can also sit outside in the pedestrian zone in summer. Highly recommended!

I've been here twice during last three months with German colleagues — sitting inside and outside. The atmosphere is good. Beer and food is ok (I'm not a big fan of German traditional food). But for me this place is too "tourist'. It was good for our corporate dinner. But I'll not come here of my own.

I would have liked to have given five stars, but the prices are just too expensive.
Very nicely furnished brewery, it is very cozy and you still feel comfortable even after a long time. Even that there is an upper floor with unfamiliar views of the guest room, I personally think is good. The furnishings and furnishings also make these rooms look very warm.

Nice self made beers depending on the season. A little pricier than other places, but still fine. Has an outdoor area. When my friends and I came here we had to ask to be served several times. It was a busy day, but it shouldn't happen.

We got there and it wasn't very crowded, maybe 20 people, decided on this place because it had a good spot to park a large stroller in the front of the restaurant. Staff was friendly enough, but as normal in Germany they don't really come ask you if you need anything unless you flag them down. A bit pricey for the amount of food you get, but it was pretty good. Staff spoke English, you can buy beer to go. This place would be better if you went in for just drinks.

The numerous different conditions for a table are what once irritated. On the other hand, they were attentive and brought drinks as main dishes in reasonable time. The quality of the food is good with. With many people in the rooms, the noise level however takes a very unpleasant level.

The hotel is not good value. First two nights I had a room in the house next door. Problem was that there is a kitchen restaurant that produces significant noise until 11.30pm. Reception funnily pretended to be surprised by this. Was moved to another room. Rooms are clean though and the restaurant has very good traditional food.

Pork shoulder with crispy skin is just out of this world. Beef with potato bedding is excellent! Beef is tender and their own brand of beer is just a perfect meal. Price reasonable. Atmosphere is good.

Impressive room: large volumes, while wood, which gives the impression of old Hall at the high windows. The atmosphere is more like a canteen to a gourmet restaurant: we eat on large tables of raw wood, in a buzz due to the size of the room (it sounds, necessarily), but feels right, like at home. And besides, we eat well — for the traditional German, it means: test the great rolls of Eggplant with tomato / cheese including.

Nice fancy place with a great interior vintage style + beergarden outside. Food is good but also pricy. The only negative thing to mention is the fact that they only accept cash (no ec or credit) which is annoying if you're in a bigger group and don't carry always 500€ with you.

Good beer and inexpensive high quality food. There are always lots of unaccupied tables, even at saturday evenings, thanks to three large halls. The waiters deliver food quite quickly, but it takes some effort to draw their attention to your table when you've just come and want to acquire a menu. The meat dishes often come with a generous portion of salad (e. G. When you order schnitzel, you get a large plate of good vegetable salad you would have to pay additional 6-10€ in most other places. ) Beer costs 3.80€ per 0.5 and you also can take a 1 or 2 liter syphon of beer with you for circa 7€ and 13€. And the refill is even cheaper.

Great food, cosy beer garden.

Even though the brewery is new by Heidelberg standards, you can't really tell this is not a long running beer hall that electoral princes of old visited. It definitely has the atmosphere of the older establishments in Heidelberg and with its 3 large rooms, it has far more room and is easier to get a seat than almost anywhere else in town. The service was decent. The waiter got a little surly when we asked for an english menu for one of our fellow travelers but lightened up a bit later on. We were served pretty quickly and our big beers came right away. The beer was very good and they had a decent variety of the house brew on tap from unfiltered wheat beer to seasonal bock. Very tasty and went well with the heavy meat. I tried the pork knuckle. I got a giant plate with what seemed to be half a pig on it covered in delicious crispy skin. I also got healthy sides of mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. Both were very good and helped to soak up the gravy as well as break up the heaviness of the pork. It was super filling, but very well cooked. The rest of the menu was a selection of traditional German dishes, mostly involving big hunks of meat. The food was good, but the beer was the standout for me, which is good for a beer hall. I would definitely recommend it for large groups or any gathering where you want to sit and drink good beer for a while.

Tasty regional food with self-brewed beer in different variations. The prices are for the location to be acceptable. The Service is good. Only the rooms are unfortunately a bit loud visually, but impressive!

Excellent New Years Buffet. 4 Courses; Wine and good house-brewed beer. Quite an experience! Everyone stepped out for midnight and a "crowd-sourced" firework display, and then came back in to continue dancing, eating and drinking.

As a meeting place for groups, suited! At the beginning of may, there were some "Panoramios" to Fototreffen in Heidelberg. Meeting point at noon and to the evening was the Kulturbrauerei. Time in the office to eat times a stick for dinner. The organization of the Vorauskommando was of the people there are wonderful supports and everything is at the end on the point have been brought. All were more than satisfied with food and drinks. The local beer is excellent. And (my) roast beef was on the point cooked :) Of all of the approximately 25 persons, it is a great praise…
