Great location, clean comfortable rooms. However this hotels mainly cater to air crews and they have priority for everything. I had to wait 5 hours to get my room while all the air crew personnel got theirs right away.

Beautiful view we had from our room to the Rhine River. Room was nice Bathroom was clean just needs some updating. Parking garage cost was too high per for 24Hrs $26 a day. Breakfast was great with a lot of choices. We will go back again.

The location of the hotel is scenic. Lots of good restaurants nearby. City center is also very much reachable. You might want to avoid Cathedral wing when choosing a room though. The staff is very friendly. Parking is 24 EUR per day. Breakfast has got a lot of varieties. The gym is not very big. Overall good experience.

This Hilton Hotel is one of the best Hilton's I have ever stayed in. The staff on the reception were very friendly. The room was a Single room, but very spacious. The only reason I cant give 5***** is because they have only 9 Smoking rooms left in the Hotel with almost 600 rooms is not enough. There are still lots of us smokers out there, but, bit after bit there are less and less rooms for us. I asked for a Smoking room but the Lady on the reception said that they were all booked out for the flight Crews. Which just shows, that there is enough people who want them. Maybe next time I am in Mainz, I will defenitly stay there again but have the luck and get a Smoking room. Cheers for a great Weekend.

Nice hotel right in the Rhine. Also closely located to the malls and restaurants if u want to shop a little. The breakfast bar is very good with a lot of variety. They do charge for parking per day. Overall nice location.

One side of the hotel faces the water, and the view during sunset is gorgeous. Staff were excellent and accommodating, and the prices for happy hour were phenomenal. Breakfast buffet had a decent selection of food as well.

A two night stay here in a lovely room. Clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities. Fabulous breakfast offered. Great position by the river. Only negative was the room lighting which tended to be insufficient. Wi-Fi in reception area unless you register with hotel and then it is in your room.

Great staff at front desk and the bar and restaurant! Our room overlooked the river, and the hotel is walking distance to several shops and restaurants. The breakfast for Gold & Diamond members was quite a selection, and we enjoyed our short stay here.

The hotel was very nice.
Firstly with regard to the value for money, too expensive for what one receives.
Then the problem of parking. If you want to park your car in the hotel's car park it will cost you 25 €/day. Otherwise it must be placed in the parking of the Rhine at 1, 4km of the hotel for 13 €/days or in the parking Löhrstaße right in front for 15 €/days.
The staff is not very friendly, even amnesiac and even less reactive.
The hotel is gigantic and if you forget something at the entrance you reach very quickly the 10.000 steps per day in full mobile applications.
There is a separate entrance in order to enter the second building but you must ask not white at the reception via an intercom located at this entrance. If the reception wants to pick up this can save time otherwise we left to make a big detour since the magnetic card reader at this entrance only works if one is used…
A positive thing on the other hand and room space and their tranquility.

Classic Hotel Network! Only very big! It takes at least 10 minutes to walk from the new building to breakfast!

Nice hotel. So many services of which also underground parking fee and one can expensive. Breakfast in Bufer to book apart. You eat well and abundant. From one side to the river grade and on the other hand to the city. Close to the center 10 minutes walk.

One of the biggest reasons people chose Hilton is because you never have to guess what you're getting. Hilton is known for keeping up their standards. With that being said, this is the worst one I've been to thus far. Although this isn't a bad hotel, they are not keeping up with the Hilton stard which left me disappointed. I have stayed here twice and it was worst the 2nd time. The first time my room smelled stale. This time, the air conditioning didn't work, the coffee cups weren't clean (there were stains), there was no complimentary bottle water, and there is no handicap accessible transport from the garage to the lobby. Also, they charge 24 euro a day for parking for guest and Hilton Honors members. The top rubber insole to the bathroom door in my room was broken and hanging off. There's no way it was unnoticed when the room was cleaned, yet it seemed to be ignored.

We had a biker, a beer and an iced chocolate. Two cyclists and one iced coffee were served. The second attempt, which we now had with a clear time-press, was, however, adapted, but at clearly inflated prices.

Love this quiet area. Close to many restaurants, shops, along the water. The restaurant offer a nice outdoor patio looking at the river. I also like the fact I can open my bedroom windows. The gym is a little small but you can still do a decent workout. Make sure you try the brunch. Love it! So much to choose from. The staff here is also. Wet accommodating.

We stayed here many times for lunch buffet and loved each time. Looking forward to a repeat in the asparagus season.

We go with our Kegelclub at Christmas there always eat, in the Wine Tavern. Food is good in buffet form as well. Before and after meals all inclusive beer house wine coffee etc. In the price. Brandy and extra wishes cost extra.

Great hotel strategically located very well convenient for excursions on the Rhine or a passegggiata in the center of Mainz.

Hotel is clean. Breakfast buffet is okay. Rooms are comfortable. Good location. Prices are high, more than double comparable local German hotel chains. Heating / cooling isn’t responsive in all rooms. Management is rigidly German. Do not expect the friendliness and flexibility you know from US Hilton properties.

Excellent hotel. The room was very clean and the breakfast was very good. Widely recommended.

This hotel is very well located. Big problem is that there is static electricity everywhere which causes small landfills when you touch anything. Personally, the air conditioning in my room is malfunctioning and it is quite cold in this one without counting the wind hiss under the door which is very unpleasant.

Decent hotel with all the required amenities, if you’re lucky, you’ll get a great view of the river. Spent an extended period of time during a work move, and was quite disappointed with the staff. The cleaning crew had left used chewing gum in our room, on two occasions, and despite our consternation, we couldn’t get the reception staff to do the right thing and move us into another room.

Unbeatable location. Hotel has two wings, city and river, be sure to specify river view if you want something to see from your window. Nicely refurbished rooms. Breakfast buffet is excellent with lots of options and great food.

Average Hilton in eighties style. Lobby is nicely refurbished, however the rest of the hotel is not. No executive lounge, no pool, small gym. Location is nice on the Rhine, however was given a room at the back with no view. Breakfast was excellent though, amazing selection and all very fresh. All I. All I will not be coming back, for the money you can stay in much nicer places around here.

I like rivers and I like to watch them fro my hotel room. That is why I liked this hotel from the beginning. At my last stay I learned that they have rooms on the other side of the main road as well, but I would not be happy there. I want my river. Breakfast is great and they offer a buffet dinner experience that is really worth the price. Last time I was there they had asked us at the time of booking to make a reservation for the dinner buffet, as many people from the city choose to dine there as well. Some years ago I was at their renovation ending ceremony and had a chance to see the suite and the special need room. Both were well equipped and they told us that day that they have special training with St. Johns Ambulance service to be able to help special need customers, any any other guest facing an emergency. With my rescue background I liked to hear this a lot!

Very good. Go to dinner with family every year for Christmas. Excellent as every year. Thank you also to the nice staff, who get everything great.

Very nice bar and restaurant. Mint tea had real fresh mint leaves! Parking was 22 euro for 9 hours.

Great rooms, good service, all are very friendly. Beautiful central location right on the banks of the Rhine! Had been a pleasant stay. I had nothing to fault. At the next opportunity gladly again!

You just don't feel welcome!
I have been a guest of this House for years and still have to enter our company name and address every time for the invoice.
To the ladies and gentlemen of the management, there are certainly in the 21st century computer programs that allow you to save customer data.
And if you are still very rudely warned by your co-worker Lisa at the reception that it must be the same, you really feel like some random Depp but not like a welcome guest!

Clean, nice hotel. Friendly service. Unfortunately we had an exorbitant amount of luggage from a 2 week trip and our room was quite far and across the street from the main building.

Clean and comfortable rooms, but the restaurant and staff are something awful. The restaurant has a small selection of dishes, waiters move like tired, clothes dirty, waiting for an order, you can forget or confuse, not polite. For vegetarians there is only one dish and it was not tasty at all. The bar is very small, only 4 tables and is located on the territory of the restaurant. The choice of drinks is not as pleasant as the quality. The staff can't wait. Everyone's suggesting they're not here.

Nice room. Bar uncomfortable. Reception hall cold and sparse. Is clinically effective. Breakfast very rich and tasty. Staff very friendly. Nice location on the Rhine and close to the old town.

Great location. Rooms are spacious. TV is a bit small. Quiet. Wifi is excellent. Showers have great pressure and temperature control is almost instant. Everything is within walking distance and the beer selection was excellent.

Beautiful location by the river but on the expensive side. The breakfast buffet spread is quite good but does not change much on a day to day basis. Fair number of options to eat nearby as well. Also situated fairly close to the train and bus stations making commutes convenient.

Hotel is in the perfect location right next to dining, shopping, the park, the city, the river. Views are amazing. So much to do in Mainz. I will definitely be back and absolutely recommend.

The hotel is right along the Reine and quite close to the core of the city. It has clean and comfortable rooms. And they have all the usual amenities.

The location is very good and beside the river. Festival are held nearby and it is walkable distance the hotel. The hotel is very good, kind and courteous staff. Have fun.

Avoid at all costs! Absolutely horrendous reception staff, really rude not willingness to help at all, and poor English. Have to pay for Wifi in rooms. Gym rooms is a complete joke, really tiny and very limited equipment. Rooms are outdated and stained carpets. Housekeeping were nice but could not speak English. Restaurant staff were very nice.

Located along the Rhine it is at the crossroads of the city center and the long Romantic walk that will take you to the museum of the Rhine that I recommend. The hotel is a Hilton so no surprise. He offers regular promotions. Attention the parking is quite expensive.

Location is really nice if you stay at riverside, and room upgrade was perfect!
However: Wi-Fi is really bad, service in the bar is inattentive and slow. Main reason: lack of organisation. Staff is available and kind enough. Simply not noticing that people are waiting for some time, while they are gathering behind the bar.
So: upgrade to junior suite and kind attitude of staff make it worth the stay for holiday. Would not consider this hotel suitable for business because of the problems with Wi-Fi and service, sorry. Potential, but seriously lacking.

Love the hotel and the area. Happy hour overlooking the Rhine, yes! Rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. Staff is quite friendly. Shopping near by is very good also.

Very nice hotel right along the Rhein river. Clean, modern and friendly. Make sure you ask for a room along the river for the best views! They have a very good but expensive breakfast. They also have parking available for a steep charge. I never ate at the hotel restaurant but the hotel is walking distance from tons of bars, restaurants and the centre of town. If you're staying for a while you can normally negotiate a rate that includes parking and daily breakfast.

Very nice Hilton. I enjoyed the room I had and it is in a great location to walk around the heart of Mainz. It is not easy nor fun to get to, but worth the effort.

Nice and clean hotel. Great views of the Rhine. Short walk to all the attractions in Mainz. After a long day walking around a foreign city it's great to go back to a hotel with rooms just like a hotel back home. King beds, modern styling, large tub and shower.

One of the best locations in Mainz. Was there for a Business conference for about 200 people which the Hotel accomodated very well.

I've stayed here for over 2 months, overall I'd recommend staying here over any other hotel in the Mainz area. Clean sheets, delicious breakfast buffet (American & German style), and conveniently located next to all of the shops, bars, clubs, restaurants, festivals etc. Most of the hotel staff are friendly and chipper. They appear to really love their job, which makes me as the customer more comfortable. Multiple staff members have gone out of their way to accompany me during my long stay. It was a little "bumpy" at first, but the staff took action immediately after confronting them about any issue I had.

Hilton standard rooms! Attention book rooms at the Rhine wing as a second Hotelfügel is located on the opposite side of the Rhine. Restaurant mediocre! Bar ok. Parking & Wi-Fi fee!

Very good hotel We had to stay 1 night because the car broke the next day we didn't had another car so we had to stay 1 night more but the hotel was great and if I need to choose a hotel to stay in germany it is this hotel! Very very good!

I find it ridiculous to charge 15 Euros per day for Wi-Fi access in the rooms. This is a rip-off and a shame for Hilton hotels. Except that, there is nothing special about this hotel, any other hotel will do as well.

It is a pleasant hotel. Only wish their internet and Wi-Fi infrastructure were better and not soooooooooo slow. Had a horrible time getting a Wi-Fi signal and even a wired connection left very very much to be desired. Overall the hotel is very good and very nicely located. I would highly recommend it. The staff is very friendly and sweet, and their restaurant facilities quite adequate and there is an outdoors wing for the restaurant that is right on the shore of the Rhine River and a perfect place to go running, or bicycling from. Ideal location. Also the Wi-Fi connection is much better in the restaurant.

I have been staying at the hotel on a very regular basis. The location of the hotel is indeed nice, staff is friendly However some points which have room for improvement — not in line with the Hilton Brand that I'm accustomed to. Wi-Fi is horrible — barely any connectivity in the evenings, goes off and on — can't even read the newspaper on an iPad — that slow, inconsistent… There is better Public (free) Wi-Fi at eg Novotel or Marriott Courtyard and Starbucks than what you have in this hotel as a paying customer for Wi-Fi. As a faithful member of the Hilton Brand, there is a difference in treatment here compared to most of the other Hilton hotels I've visited in the past years… I don't get that warm and fuzzy Hilton-feeling here. Most of the staff is polite yet there's not that extra demonstration of "my mission is to provide every customer a second home away from home"-feeling that you have in other hotels (eg Double Tree in Amsterdam). Rather impersonal — yet polite, nothing more.

Good location next to the river and close to the altstadt. Nice room and breakfast, but hard to find an international news paper. Staff was ok. The public Wi-Fi didn't work and if I wanted Wi-Fi in the room I would've had to pay 20 euros which is completely unaccaptable. An expensive hotel which didn't live up to the 4 stars unfortunately.

We went today for Christmas dinner there. A greeting from the kitchen came after an hour. After an hour the appetizer and after 1.5 hours the main course. Despite repeated demand, it seemed the service somehow don't care to be, whether we were hungry. Only when we outlaw made and complained the surrounding tables about the slow service, was suddenly faster. The food in itself was rather poor. The celery soup was too salty and tasted almost like celery. The goose was too dry and too chewy. The dessert (chocolate cake, ice cream and Red porridge) was ok. The Hilton Mainz has seen me last time.

For a 5 star hotel, the service and food was very poor and very expensive. Even had to pay for Wi-Fi in your room which we thought was disgusting considering you get free Wi-Fi and breakfast in most 3 star hotels around europe. Will never pay for quality again if this is the service you get.

Despite the water situation unfortunately not nice, very American, so kit without love, 10 minutes walk to the room. Too many attempts to be great and yet he is very, very average.

Stayed there several times over the last 15 years! What a lovely experience! Beautiful setting! Lovely overlooking the river, at the riverboatstation and lots of lovely pubs and restaurants if you want to eat out! Will always recomment to friends.

Great Hilton in the heart of Mainz that offer easy access to local establishments. Friendly staff, great beds and the room size is really quite good for Europe. There prices are also rather reasonable for Germany. Have been able to check in early and out late with no issues. They offer high speed internet access (20€/24hrs) for non HH status guests but I find that is the going rate. They also have an on sight parking garage underground which is great if you have a rental. Room service is expensive but the food is good and quick after a long day. Bonus: shower water pressure is excellent and facilities are modern and not your typical German unpleasant smelling bathrooms.

Loved the riverfront location. There was a great walking area all along the river with open areas and benches just beautiful. The room was completely setup for our arrival. The bathroom was average — didn't like it. The breakfast buffet and the service was faultless and in general service was excellent.

Great bar. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on. I really appreciated having an iron and ironing board. The staff was amazing and really went out of their way to help me.
