Hotel Queen in Q&A

Information is provided based on reviews and may contain inaccuracies.

How is Hotel Queen located in relation to local attractions and shops?

The hotel is situated in the very heart of Mtskheta, just a one- to five-minute walk from key historical landmarks. The property offers panoramic views of the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and the Jvari Monastery. On the neighboring street, approximately twenty meters from the entrance, you will find a supermarket, a currency exchange office, and fresh fruit stalls. The surrounding area is peaceful, and the property features its own charming courtyard.

What kind of view do the rooms offer, and is there a designated relaxation area on the property?

From the windows and the ground floor, guests can enjoy picturesque views of the cathedral and the monastery on the horizon. The spacious balconies and terrace are furnished with comfortable sofas, armchairs, and an abundance of potted flowers. The house is surrounded by a well-tended garden with grapes, pomegranates, and medlar trees, providing an ideal green space for outdoor relaxation on warm days.

How hospitable are the hosts of Hotel Queen, and what languages do they speak?

The owner, David, and his family welcome guests with exceptional warmth, offering hot tea and providing detailed recommendations on the best local restaurants. The host also produces his own homemade wine, which guests highly recommend sampling and purchasing. Visitors consistently note the heartfelt hospitality and high level of safety, though international travelers may occasionally encounter minor communication challenges in English.

How comfortable and well-maintained are the rooms at Hotel Queen?

Most guests describe the rooms as clean, tidy, warm, and very cozy. Opinions regarding bed comfort vary: while some guests praise the soft beds, others note less comfortable mattresses and dated linens. A few reviews mention minor maintenance issues, such as non-working overhead lights, loose power outlets, rough towels, and narrow stairs. Overall, the ambiance is considered pleasant and homelike.

What is the atmosphere like at the hotel, and how is the soundproofing in the rooms?

The guest house maintains a calm, relaxing, and quiet environment that allows for a restful night's sleep. While the sound insulation between rooms could be better, guests do not consider this a major inconvenience. The absence of street noise ensures a peaceful rest.

Is drinking water available at the hotel?

Guests confirm that the tap water in the rooms is completely safe to drink. In addition, the hosts warmly welcome arriving guests with hot tea and homemade wine. Grocery stores are also located on the neighboring street, making it easy to purchase bottled beverages if needed.
