MaiTia is a beautiful bungalow resort looking out over the ocean. We were given a welcome drink and flower lei upon arrival. We had an ocean front bungalow and enjoyed the amazing view and sound of the waves from our room. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The air conditioning kept the room cool. We enjoyed hanging out at the small pool overlooking the ocean. We had the half board package with our stay which included breakfast and dinner. I would probably skip the dinner part since I don’t eat much fish and many menu options were fish dishes. Note that food is relatively expensive but that’s everywhere in French Polynesia. I would definitely stay here again.
The bungalows are so nice, especially for the price. The pool is a lot bigger and nicer than it looks in photos. I wasn’t able to snorkel in the waters but you do so much incredible snorkeling in Rangiroa it’s not a loss. The store close by has a lot of things & the restaurant across the street is great. Loved it.
