What a cute, charming little place. It's right at the base of the hill dominated by the Château de Grignan, which is an 11th century fortress restored in the Renaissance era to an ornate residential palace. We stayed at Room Chanoine, at the top of 2 flights of stairs. Yes, getting our luggage up was quite a task, but we knew that would be the case! The room was full of old decor, from the dressers and table, right down to the old rotary dial phone. A small patio allowed for a quiet sip of wine before bed time, or just enjoying the view of the garden below. It had an air of authenticity, giving us the feeling of being transported back in time. Updating these rooms to modernity would be a shame. I'm glad they haven't. The service staff were very helpful. Even though there was a language barrier we managed. Frankly, at a place like this, I don't want to hear the King's English! The whole place is embedded into the little town, which winds around the Château in narrow streets with cute little shops and restaurants. After touring Nice, this was quite different, and a welcome break from the masses of tourists. And the surrounding landscape is amazing with all the vineyards and wineries to visit (unfortunately we missed the lavender season by a few weeks). We took a day just driving around the countryside, visiting another historic hold town and doing a couple winery tours. We ate dinner one evening at the Bistro, which was quite nice.

The saleswoman ensures that the ice cream is milk-free, so I take it for my allergic daughters. Fortunately by habit once Instaleesi a little farther on a bench, I verifiv before tasting… Well I took it, I was about to poison them! So I go back after 5 minutes, she apologizes hardly, swaps me the jar of ice and put on sale The pot I had bought while it had been released 5 good minutes of the freezer! Help! It seems that this ensign cares little about the health of its customers!

This is an excellent establishment or simplicity rhymes with refinement.
The chef is prodigious in a delicate and generous kitchen.
Bravo, I recommend this beautiful stop on the way of the lavenders.

Friendly Service without obsequiousness and very efficient; Breakfasts pantagruéliques and of high quality even gourmet (8 types of honey and honeydew). It's a gastro stop to report. The suites of the small mansion very quiet with impeccable bedding. I would like a bathroom transformed into an Italian shower room!
The hotel is getting better from year to year. This is a favorite step towards the Pyrenees, back and forth. Quiet and refined.

We discovered the spring Collection menu of the Clair de la Plume, with the agreement of the wines proposed by the sommelier: very nice experience! Full of finesse and surprises. A treat. We were friends and all enjoyed it. I recommend to the lovers of very good food.

Disappointed with the room suite with 2 rooms while we were expecting a lounge… no machine at KF Clim that was not working… finally rather a 3 stars than a 4! Nice restaurant with the chef's visit at the end of the meal.

It would sound like a very nice Christmas crib. Staff friendly and available. I do little that recommend it.

Food was excellent/creative and the price / performance justified. Wine menu strictly limited to French wine, but fairly good and balanced range and price level ok. The service is super, super old school. Wake up guys — going forward nobody needs (and pays) for your multi-level, hierarchical service offering. Slow, boring and expensive. Get rid of the uniforms, cut hierarchies and focus on the customers.

Great restaurant with excellent food and very friendly staff. The room is beautiful in a very historic building (furniture is all authentic). Excellent location.

Amazing location and stunning setting. Food was unique and service and wine to match. A must do. The pool and outdoors is the best area to relax, can not beat it. A must to return too!

Envirronment is quite, pleasant BUT foods are limited, not tasty at all Service is not as you could expect from an 4 stars hotel. Plates and glasses are never removed as long as it is going. Going with kids? Humm they can only have scramble eggs!

Very nice place but waitresses arrogant and without contacts; weird for such a nice house, veranda and garden. Very well received by the young man at the entrance on the garden side.
