Review of Château Les Oliviers de Salettes 4*

We had an amazing experience at Oliviers de Salettes. The rooms are beautiful, modern and incredibly clean. They were stocked with all the essentials — hair dryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. But also had nice robes and slippers for your trips to the pool and spa. The grounds are stunning with mountain views, walking paths, and large mature trees. The staff here is exceptional. They were all so friendly and willing to help, especially Caroline who was so wonderful and patient with my wife and I as we had questions about the chateau's history and things to do in the surrounding area. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are offered at certain times throughout the day and the food is incredible. At dinner they offer a true dining experience with a four course meal option. My wife and I are by no means "foodies" and were a little nervous about the menu (my wife is vegan), but they accomodated her perfectly by preparing a meal for her needs. It's a small menu and if you've never had a meal in this manner or with these options (like monkfish or duck confit) it may seem a little intimidating but I would tell you to go for it. We did and loved every bite of what was prepared. After that if you just want a burger and frites there is a place in town called le Tims kfe that has an awesome burger (burger, fries and salad for $8.50). Overall we had a great experience and if you're looking for a relaxing getaway at a really affordable price (especially considering how nice it is) then give Oliviers a visit. We certainly hope to be back in our future travels.
