A quiet place, attentive staff and very kind. The room was spacious and immaculate and the bathroom too. I highly recommend this hotel and know where to come back!

The hotel is at the heart of the old port with helpful customer service. Lots of cafes nearby. Fun place to be.

This hotel is horrible. It’s very dirty and infested with bed bugs. It should be condemned. Definitely not 4 star at all.

It lacks maintenance. Very well located. Ugly Lobby. Comfortable rooms.

We were sold non-existent services, such as the whirlpool that did not work!
We change rooms and the drama room even worse than the first! Task on the Mures, traces of mastic, bathroom of 2 m2, split bathtub, mixers full of rusts, unpleasant odor!

Great location in the middle of Vieux Port.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Good location on the harbor. Comfortable bedding and good size room. Own. Very good breakfast.

Hide misery everywhere and I refrain from not using other baths …
Fair receptionist welcome. I had to come back to activate my card because it had not validated it and had to wait 5 minutes for it to finish the phone conversation.
Hotel door locks at 9pm a little early in my opinion I made my remark to the night receptionist which was much nicer than the one that greeted me on arrival.
Surprise for the shower at the head alarm clock that does not flow too much limestone and hole obstructed fortunately there was a shower : ( ( (
Little altercation in the living room between the hostess and her colleague at the friendly alarm clock and she remains too present in the living room to watch the customers from the times we leave with coffee or glass (boutade)
Finally I would not take over this hotel and I strongly advise against it if you have to stay in Marseille.
And if a commission could check the stars because I think the hotel does not have the stars or has never been checked or checked to claim this standing…

We enjoyed spending a few days at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and the welcome is warm. The hotel is ideally located.

It's worth up to 2!
Located next to a MACDO whose scent reeks of the entrance hall.
Everything seems to be falling apart.
All the furniture in the lobby and in the rooms is Formica or agglomerated wood that has several decades.
The staff is next to the plate. No culture of reception and hospitality.
Breakfast is no more.
The hotel only survives in my opinion thanks to its interesting positioning on the old port.

The hotel is close to everything nonetheless this is not what the customer expects from a 4 star!
The cleanliness of the rooms is serious to see.
I do not even talk about the breakfast the hotel has 4 stars but is not worth 2…
To all travelers who would like to spend a few nights in Marseille I would recommend the Hotel Oceania which is located right in front of the Ferris wheel.

Bof I do not understand that this hotel has so many stars. Staff cold and not welcoming, mediocre basic breakfast for 15 mm no salty. In short I do not recommend on Marseille!

4 Star Hotel in Vaux 2. Good location and not too expensive.

Bed clean Large room but need some refreshment and why not revise properly the Branloque sconces? Nice breakfast and very decent together. All right, for a night of passing.

A hotel that does not deserve its 4 stars: faded common areas, no king size bed in standard double room, stained walls, barcode labels that remain prominent on wall sticks, a shower head that deserves a serious Descaling, a leaky bathtub, a hydromassage function which of course does not work… Not to mention a breakfast that does not offer any homemade products…

Limited comfort, no bathrobe, dirty bathroom, glazed tile joints, no gifts of hygiene products, many stains on the walls, on the armchair, only one seat per room…

Not very big but cozy and in a great location, in the heart of the Vieux Port and close to the Metro.

It's just a location. The bathroom was not working. The finish and equipment update is required. Staff is good.

Old rooms and old hotel. Service is very good! The location is, of course, excellent, which is why you can also charge such prices. I wouldn't necessarily want to go a second time, but inexpensive (re) alternatives in the city centre itself are also scarce.

A four star that looks like a three star. The location is perfect!

This hotel was a disappointment. Though rated 4/5 stars, through the government hotel rating system, Tonic felt like a 2.5-star hotel: very small rooms, no complimentary breakfast, and an air ventilation duct blocking the view from our window. The headboard of our bed had stains. Otherwise, the room was clean and the hotel nicely located. Notwithstanding, the basis of the 4-star rating most recently received in 2010 was not evident.

Good place to stay in the midle of vieux port.

Very good and near the port, very convenient, but lobby ceiling has a water pipe leakage, all lobby became wet.

Wow. €95 for a room with two double beds a Whit Monday on the evening, it's cool. Large room. View of the port, with good double glazing to cut the noise from the street. Staff helpful at reception and fast wireless (for real) made me appreciate my experience.

Good for a two stars. My two night stay went well. However, the robe was missing while I had called the day before to avoid me to load my suitcase. The bulb of the applique was missing, dust on the breakdown of the heating quite noisy if you're cautious, hooked on the sheets.
In summary, very good for a 2 star hotel. Ah! It has four?
Fortunately I had a promo on the net. Save location. Really at the centre of everything and the old port. That said employees are nice and the bed very comfortable.

Beautiful modern hotel, cheap room rate, location is right in the heart of the pier. Even got a free upgrade to a triple room when they were short a double room when I booked last minute. Very happy.

Expensive, great location, horrible service, pretty rooms, good beds, bedbugs — I swear my brother got bit by something. Thankfully it didn't follow us. Wouldn't let my friend out past midnight. Dicey and pricey.

Our room smelled of tobacco and incidents was with noises at night which did not help us to sleep. The decoration was generally pretty tacky, although they were quite clean. The worst were halls smell to McDonalds and bathroom.
The hotel does not offer or brush teeth or comb (4 stars? ). Our tub was dirty and had problems with the drain which encharcaba all the bathroom.
The location is OK if you want to do things very tourist and stay near the Vieux Port. But I do not recommend it if you are traveling by car because it is impossible to Park, at least leave it in a parking lot.
Breakfast in the adjoining restaurant was good, although the waitresses could well learn a little English.

We stayed here in June 2009. Got a great rate for our room and even got an upgrade to the superior room, with port view The superior rooms are spacious enough for 2, although the spa bath is only big enough for 1 of you:) The service from all staff was excellent, they always took the trouble to help with questions — and we asked a lot! There was no parking, so you need to park in a 24hour garage nearby at extra cost. The location is great, as you are right on the edge of the vieux port, next to all the restaurants and close to the shopping centres. Could not comment on the Bar and Restaurant area, as we always ate out. The Wi-Fi was free. Good value as we got a great rate and upgraded, but definately would not pay the full going rate for the room (395 euros).
