This place is top10 must see in europe! This beautifull old Church is architectuur diamond! One of the greatest place that I have seen!

No foreign tourists, so we must serve as a cash cow to maintain the Mount! Pay 11 euros to visit the abbey when two years ago it was free and the price of parking do not talk about it!
Just as the Covid-19 protocol is never respected at the start and at the arrival of the shuttle. 68 people all squeezed like sardines, a disgrace.

Excellent excursion. Playful and pleasant. I highly recommend it.

Seen from afar, it's beautiful… But once you go through the doors, you find yourself in a crowded shopping center devoid of any authenticity. Cafes, souvenir shops, restaurants, etc. All practicing lousy rates (2, 70 € a coffee, must not abuse anyway! ). Finally, let the Normans keep it, personally I do very well for this big wart symptomatic of ultra-capitalism.

Our hotel had an agreement with this breakfast restaurant so we could visit the interior. Rich in photos of famous people who were there, it would actually need a makeover, in any case the breakfast was pleasant, we did not instead experience the restaurant for lunch or dinner, I can say that the famous omelette mere poulard costs 38 euros! Many tourists stop to see how it is prepared, because the cook cooks "on sight" but few stop to eat it given the price!

Good service, but price qualify ratio is very poor. It seems more that restaurant is living on the legend history instead of providing quality taste.

Compared to the fame of the house, the price is correct. On the other hand, I expected, always in relation to this fame, quality products! Too bad the restaurant has become more of an industrial house than a traditional one! The pan-fried foie gras is cold, the leeks are of the same level of quality as at Picard!
As for the waiters, they are charming and helpful. They are young for the most part but already very professional!

Top location in Mont Saint Michel — good service and breakfast — tiny little rooms (which is to be expected in a small town like this) but everything is clean and neat.

In my life I have eaten an omelette less tasty and worse cooked. The place is nice and interesting because of its history, but the tortilla is very bad. At any buffet in any country with a live cooking, they prepare a better tortilla at the moment.

A comfortable location and a fairly clean room, but there are downsides. The rooms are old and in 30 degree heat the lack of air conditioning is a huge disadvantage.

The restaurant: The food was decent, but definitely overpriced. The staff was all very pleasant (and spoke enough English to get by for those whose French is lacking). During the day, there are a large amount of flies around the island and the restaurant does not take any measures to prevent the flies from getting inside. Mostly a minor annoyance, but annoying nonetheless. Note: staff was all fairly young, and clearly inexperienced, which led me to give them a break on service. There was some time between dishes, but not enough to make me feel disgruntled. The hotel: Be warned, as with the rest of Mont Saint Michel, theres A LOT of stairs. Rooms are small (due to necessity because of the limiting factors of the island) but very nice! In clas European fashion, there is no air conditioning, so you must open the windows to cool off. This has 2 results: 1) at night, the birds roosting on the island are talkative, so they may keep some awake 2) similar to the restaurant, opening windows allows the flies inside Overall still worth the experience of staying overnight in such a magical place!

This is because the system "mother poulard" controls all the Mont Saint Michel that we spent one night at their home, and more precisely on the terrace. It is, like the restaurants of the same brand, pure business and optimization with that hyper tourist taste. In 1 Word: beurk!. The services are always at a minimum, and the machine is well-run to gain space and a Max. The reception service remains very polite Fortunately! This is the point that saves the hotel. For bedding nothing bad but do not expect to be able to circulate properly around in the first price rooms. Short of the poulard… Fortunately we spent our stay with a promo off season of 50%… Madame poulard they've gone crazy! Come back! …

What to say about this legendary House!? Certainly the omelet is not given, but it is really the best in the world, and we do not often come to mount… He service is efficient and friendly people, which at Mont is not so often the case. A great time.

Disappointed by the mythical spot. The salad was obviously in sachet, the frozen vegetables. And what about the condition of the hotel toilets adjacent really not a level 3 stars. I did not find the place worthy of its reputation.

Beautiful, old, full of history and excellent views and good cheff.

Am I the only one who think the foods are awesome? If you do not understand know at least you got to know the skills to made the dish are tip top. Pate and the bread are beyond description. The portions are big too. 2 of us are stuffed with 1 portion of 3 courses meal. I do agree with the bad service. 5 stars of food, 3 stars of service!

To everyone who reads reviews. I don't know how can people criticize about this restaurant with a history that dates from 1888. The food was amazing, the services was awesome and the prices is not a factor. I have eaten in a lot of restaurants in my time and this one has to be one one of best. The chefs have a knack and passion about delivering delicious meals with high quality ingredients. Just come over and see for yourselfs. Take the time to see the history and don't be scared to ask. The hotel was very expensive, €280. In the month of March 2018, in daily Day. An abuse to be inside the islet of Mont Saint Michel. Breakfast costs €20 per person and is average, dinner a real scam we ask for the typical tortillas that have made famous both the restaurant and the hotel, is tortilla that seems to have invented the Mere Poulard.
Each tortilla costs €34 the cheapest, a real scam, is cold bad inside boast that many celebrities have gone but I do not think they slept in this hotel has no elevator you have to climb a lot of stairs and the rooms are crap the window gives to a Wall full of pipes. There's no place to put two suitcases. We went four marriages and all the rooms were indecent, only one had better view to the sea.
In the Mont San Michel, they treat very very badly to the tourism know that they have it full always so it is that they do not worry neither for being friendly nor for liking to the tourist in the establishments that we went, to buy or to drink something.
To get a free bus takes you from the car parks at 400 meters from the islet.
It is incomprehensible because you have to go with the suitcase to the hotel and at the entrance of the islet there is a lot of space, where they turn the buses but do not take you even if they are loaded with suitcases.
There is no stop sign, the drivers do what they want, we were left planted at night with a horrible cold to a large group of tourists.

Overpriced food. Staffs had very terrible behaviour. Waitress gave us the bill before we finished our meal. Told her to serve us the biscuit included in our 3 course meal, she just said yes. 10 minutes later she was happily walking around serving other people. We then asked for the biscuits again, she said 1 minute. We told her we've been waiting for some time already, she said yes angrily, and to give her a minute. She then proceeded to scold us in French and cursed under her breath. 1 star is overrated.

Restaurant has its historical reputation.
The map is interesting, but the nail of the establishment remains its omelet, incredibly excellent, with variants.

Trash restaurant. Expensive, nothing reasonable, stupid serving. Food was terribly expensive and low qlty. They misunderstood order and gave me wrong menu and the waitress didn’t say any apology.

Service is slow, long period of waiting between dishes, food is really disappointed, especially the omelet, cold, too moisture, and flat. The two stars for the waiter and waitress' good service. The waiter deserve more but food is really not tolerable. They shall consider replace their cook. Btw, even dishes are disappointed, but dessert is good.

OK, so there must something completely wrong with u if u r leaving anything less than 4 stars for this place. U r sitting amidst a 12th century castle on an island, in one of the most picturesque locations in the world and you think that eur50 is overpriced? Whatever it is people are smoking, I'd really like some too. The omelets are great — exactly how they are meant to be, given this is a local specialty. The lamb was good too, and the fish stew. The service is prompt (for a higher end place in France) and everyone is generally super nice. We asked 4 locals before coming here, and they all unanimously recommend this place, and I can see why. Sorry this isn't KFC.

A place loaded with history that is in the rates of this kind of establishment. An entry/dish/dessert menu from €38 (in low season anyway) that sums up what people want to taste (omelet and tatin in general). The staff are very friendly and the room quite in the type of hotel: thick carpet, fabrics and furniture reminiscent of post-war. If you like the story and you can do it, do it.

We had booked a comfort-superior room. We're being coaxed into saying we're outclassed, well, luckily we were upgraded, I don't know what it would have been. A room certainly with view on the bay but that had to be to the taste of the day in the years 60: tapestry of period and degraded, curtains almost in tatters and in addition we heard the neighbors, no luck: a dog on the right, a baby on the left. The breakfast succinct scrambled eggs cold and not good, more water to make eggs shells, more fruit salad, little choice no small spoons and no one to greet us. In short, a low-end breakfast we made out of our disappointment, we were offered breakfast. It's good but it's still supposed to be a three star. So if the comfort was a Level 1 star the price was that of a 4 star well rung. The staff obviously not framed but full of goodwill.

There was a used comndom under our bed. Great addition for celebraing my wife’s birthday. No one even apologised. Nuff said, stay away from this place, service is awful.

Returned by twice over 5 years, the last (summer 2016) being even worse than the first…
The décor always as pleasant especially on the floor, on an original site but a little too touristy;)
A hot appetizer with a fly in it, I take away the fly without changing glass… and with half the content in the end…

I am a little ashamed to think that millions of American, Japanese and European visitors will take this for French cooking and hospitality. What does management do?

Très belle chambre avec une jolie vue sur la baie. Seul petit hic: la propreté des couloirs qui laisse à désirer. Nous ne sommes pas allés au restaurant, en revanche, le petit déjeuner était très complet (bon rapport qualité/prix). Petit conseil: ne tardez pas (trop) à vous rendre au petit déjeuner si vous souhaitez goûter à tout ce que l’hôtel propose (salé et sucré)

40 years later, the omelets remain a delight. Restaurant with refined taste with Tradition menu or omelet to choose from would be a plus. Non-alcoholic beverages and cider remain expensive. The service of quality and I thank the young team for its dynamism.

The famous omelette was awful. I guess they dilute it and whip it up to make it fluffy. It was also very expensive. It's just because of the legend they make money.

There is no lift, narrow stairs with the suitcase you do really much effort. The rooms are not clean between spiders and flies! The positive notes are: the place, the restaurant where they make fabulous omelettes, the tea service in the room free of charge, the bed is comfortable. But I don't think I will return, the price is high for the service they give.

Awful access… bus dropped us so far from hotel it boggles the mind since other buses were allowed to very edge of fort wall. Rooms very far from reception, and involved carrying luggage up very narrow and steep stairs in two separate buildings with no clear signage anywhere. I asked about having dinner at the hotel restaurant, and got laughed at rudely for asking if we could reserve for 9 or 10 pm by an attendant with appetite-killing rotten teeth. Then our room had no Wi-Fi access, said that we need to go to another building 100 feet away to have Wi-Fi access. Frankly, DO NOT COME TO MERE POULARD, they make it very very clear that they do not care about or value tourists, no matter how polite or respectful they are or how well they speak the language (I am French educated). BTW I have been touring Bretagne for a week and this is the first time I experience such bad service. Go somewhere else you will get a much better experience and value for your money. Now for recommendations on how to do this right first avoid the hot summer months as much as possible, all French hotels I went to have no AC and if you open windows insects and flies will become a very serious problem. Second, stay in one of hotels outside and near the Month Saint Michel (MSM) then shuttle in for day visits. Third, travel light, there is a lot of walking.

We were in the restaurant and it wasn't our best experience in Normandie. The food was awful and expensive, overpriced wine and bad service. Packed cookies as dessert. 100% tourist trap.

It's all good. But they serve for a long time. And it's not in the high season.

The room was clean and dry, unlike the weather. It was a bit dated and tight, rather LIKE the location, itself. The restaurant was definitely more comfortable, with finer furnishings and outstanding food. Make a reservation if you go, though. The host turned away people wanting to dine there without reservations.

The service is far from being equal to the price at the restaurant. For an omelet around 40 euros it is expected that all plates are identical, but there is nothing.
Icing on the cake, dessert was still frozen, with a good lie to the server to make the pill.
Attention to the hiring of apprentice, they are indeed not up to the place.
Last point, the hygiene of toilets is clear again, and its lighting also.

4 stars because we had a good price on booking, for its ideal location and our room which had views of the Bay and the Abbey. Otherwise very expensive for what it is. No breakfasts because €19 / pers we find it a little exaggerated! Small bedding in length for those who make more than 1 m 80.

No idea that this was a hotel, but the restaurant is a renowned attraction within Mont St Michel, and the semi-open kitchen allows spectators an eye-opening view into how their famous fluffy omelettes are made.

What to say. I had the lobster, which was simply badly prepare and overpriced omelette. 120 euros for two people. Just wasted … Don't come here.

Hotel: comfortable room despite the fact that she is in an annex (a hotel acquired by the mother Poulard, as half of the mount) and that don't have not mentioned us when booking. Two floors, down a floor, a small passage in the open air with a digicode… There are simpler.
Side restaurant: pleasant surprise, as a guest of the hotel, we're managed to get a table for two, where previous tourists are is rembarres. The oysters were just perfect (much better than in other institutions tested the next day) and the basis of three sweets chocolate dessert was just a killer!

The framework is very beautiful, so I add a star. The staff is friendly, normal I want to say. Otherwise, I didn't really like (I could say hate but I'm nice) omelet. It's no good (that's my opinion, I heard at the table next door that she was very good aha but for me it was really horrible). It is so airy it seemed a foam… Then the value… that's what, it is very expensive for an omelettre. By visiting the Mont Saint Michel, it was impossible for me to not go through the mother Poulard, in the end I am very disappointed, a McDonald's would have been better.

Shabby and expensive for an omelet than we can eat only a spoon and Rancid bacon (he faur debit I think). Also lousy service, I think that if the we n is not intended to have her picture in the room to eat elsewhere c is a great demonstration of the tourist trap.

The flight! Shameful! €5 the coffee and the same beast for the coke! And what of the pancake of my daughter to 7, €5? A "Paste" folded in 3 with the choco and a melted ultra vanilla ball… All on a mini canteen plate! In short… 100% scam tourist!

Their service is definitely not worth the price. The black lady who checked me in wasn't helpful at all when I asked her about the schedule of bus to Pontorson or problem with their Wi-Fi. She always replies "I don't know" without any apology or any other way to help answering my question. Really wanted to say something like "Aren't you the one suppose to know? " to her. Nevertheless, the Wifi wasn't stable in their hotel room (# 37), food is also overpriced. Definitely won't come back to this place again.

Overpriced. Value for money is shameful. The quality of a Dacia for the price of an Audi.
The price between a room "2 single beds" and "1 double bed" is almost twice the price. Don't care about that?

Much too expensive for what it is! At the limit, do just the approach you stop in front of the kitchen open on the street and admire the omelet preparation, this event is free and at least on this, you will not be disappointed.

It's very famous but I really disappointed at extremely pricey menu. And I could not find any specialty in their famous omelet. It's really overvalued and their specialty is only sky-high price. Because It locates just after the main gate, it could be easy choice. But never choose this restaurant, you can look around their famous kitchen and take a photo without any payment. And you can find many other restaurants inside. Every restaurant has similar menu but price is getting lower inside.

It's shameful! And the word is weak… The casserole of lamb € 20 with three small pieces of meat and potato so-called Baker "charred" where it appears with the end. The servers are nice but paid to sling shot and don't respect (undiplomatic hierarchy). But on the other hand thanks to the Director who gave us a gesture of goodwill. Damage to this institution that has become a box to tourists! Avoid absolutely…

Service is correct although nothing as good as a top hotel. The best point (if you get it) is a view on the bay from your bedroom, as well as the hotel's location on the Mont of course.

Very expensive. A real robbery. Pay for an omelet €45, by very good that it is, is a scam. That Yes, the place is very cool, but better eating elsewhere. Love the Japanese, it is full, I do not understand why. For wealthy wanting to claim to eat at a place which they have gone many celebrities (whose photos are placed in the local). Otherwise, the best wine list or look.

It's a tourist trap. For obscure seasons, Japanese tourists (and a sprinkle of Americans) squat the place, so the restaurant makes easy money. Easy money means slack standards, very slack. Gives gastronomoy a bad name. Only positive point is, the omelette is done under your eyes, and decoration is all right. All the rest is money thrown out the window.

The hotel is really nice. A bit too many stairs to get but it is the country not the fault of the hotel. The room overlooked in a strategic position to enjoy the full tide. Great room and bathroom Parking is charged 8, 50 euro per day and you arrive at the hotel with a shuttle.
