Very nice little hotel with a good location to Mont Saint-Michel. Breakfast is also good. The owners are very friendly and always provide advice.

The person who received us, not polite and no smile at all. I dunno if she pretends to not understand English or if she not understand. But she was not friendly and very rude. Nocked hard on our door very hard 15 minutes before check out time. (11 Am) And charged us another room price while we stayed in a normal room. Cold water for the shower and room smelled very strongly of fresh paint. Couldn’t breath whole night.

They cancelled our reservation online after the day we left and charged us a higher price range then we booked. Otherwise the room is clean but smell horrible paint and warm water is not consistent which means you shower most of time with cold water. Have to pay surcharge for parking. And please answer me why I paid 76 Euro at counter already and I got cancellation email 1 day after I checked out. Now I have to call with Agoda to make sure if it double charge or not.

I come to this hotel regularly when I am traveling in the area. Very friendly staff. I recommend!

The terrace is very well appointed. The owners are very friendly. The hotel is very well located.

Very disappointed with this hotel. Room which has been given to me don't reflect the photos can be seen on the site. Apparently some rooms had to be redone but that I've dated from Matusalem.

Very sound. It is true that I was alone and we know hoteliers don't like single people… so I was given the room the more… "rotten" while the hotel was far from full… Beware when booking, ask if the room attributed you to was recently redone, but anyway you will not escape the noise.

Inexpensive great hotel for those who come for two or three days to walk. A small comfortable parking for cars, convenient transportation, the cosy rooms.

This is a good budget hotel. Decor is quite outdated but it's clean. Free Wi-Fi and parking are definitely a plus. I'd recommend the hotel for staying close to mont St. Michel if you have a car.

Last winter we were driving from Valencia, Spain to Le Havre, France heading for Ireland when the weather closed in. Temperatures of — 10 and lots of snow made us cut our journey short. We decided to spend a day or two at the next Hotel we came upon. That hotel turned out to be The Hotel Patton in Avranches. It was late at night so I was not expecting a very warm reception but I could not have been more wrong. The Owner/ Manageress was very accommodating and we ended up staying for a week. The atmosphere is fantastic, the breakfast typical french style. It is also central to all of the sights the town/city has to offer, including a surprise find — a second Notre dame cathederal. We will return to the Patton this summer and use it as a base for day trips to Mt. San Michel and the Normandy landing beaches. Mark and Judith. Ireland.

All the good reviews posted here are true. We stayed here for 1 night on our trip to Mont Saint Michelle in June 2010. Owner was very helpful and friendly. Convenient parking and free Wi-Fi.
