This place was so wonderful, from the staff to the rooms! Thank you for the hospitality!

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was great! The hotel staff was very friendly and willing to help us with anything. They also were very patient with our broken French! Our only complaint was that it got a little hot at night when the window was closed. Easy problem to be solved!

This is a very nice small hotel in the heart of Bayeux. Easy walking distance from the tapestry museum and restaurants. The rooms are basic, but clean and functional, and some are air conditioned. Although I parked on the street, there is some off street parking available. The staff is friendly and helpful, and some speak English. The breakfast is massive and really delicious, a perfect set up for a day of walking about in the city. I would absolutely stay again.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Le Bayeux. Reception closes at 10pm and they had sent us beforehand all the info we would need to check in since we were arriving after 11pm. To our surprise, the front desk staff had stayed until 11:30pm to greet us and check us in. Our room was also pre-chilled and the ONLY hotel in France (we stayed in three hotels throughout our trip) that had adequately working air conditioning. The breakfast was wonderful in the morning; good food, plenty of seating, they played light jazz in the breakfast room. It's in a very convenient location for walking into the "downtown" area, for the meeting point for our D-Day Tour, and from the Bayeux train station. If we ever come back to Bayeux, we'll be staying here again! Thank you for a lovely stay!

The Hotel Le Bayeux was very charming and comfortable. The rooms (we had 2) were very clean and spacious. The staff was very attentive. We would definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back to Bayeux. Would recommend this hotel in the highest regard!

The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk from Bayeux Train Station. Reception staff can speak English, are friendly and willing to help. Our room has 3 single beds which is perfect for us. Room is pretty small, but clean. Bathroom shower tends to spill water to outside floor. We stayed here 3 nights to tour Normandy D-Day sites and Mont St. Michel. The hotel is very conveniently close to restaurants and shops. If we ever come back to Bayeux, we would consider this hotel again!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My room was most comfortable with all necessary equipment and facilities. Breakfast upstairs was comfortable and acceptable. I did miss a bar or restaurant at the hotel in the evening, but there are many in the center of Bayeux. Parking was quite restricted. Location very close to city center and within easy walking distance of all the major Bayeux attractions.

Good location. The room was able to accommodate 4 of us. Employee at check in was pleasant but not overly welcoming. Wonderful breakfast. The woman who prepared the meal was a delight. Shower — no tub, which we preferred.

OK in low season, no more. Beware of prices that fly in high season.

An old hotel filled with atmosphere. Take this for the history and for the service and kindness from the staff. Especially the owner of the hotel will make sure, that you feel comfortable all the time. The Wi-Fi is decent. The rooms are a little bit noisy. Really recommend this place as a base if you are going to visit Normandy.

If you are looking for a five star American style hotel, this is not it. When I go to Europe, though, I don't want to stay in an American style hotel. I would rather get to know the local culture by getting as close to it as I can. This hotel is s good one for that. In addition to it's right in the town of Bayeux, within easy walking distance of everything of note. The breakfasts served at the hotel are very good, with the exception of the bacon, which is underdone. In fairness to the hotel, though, I have found that the French everywhere undercook bacon.

Booked 2 rooms for family of 4. The rooms were a nice size, the beds were comfortable and the shower room was also large. As busy as the hotel was it was very quite at night. There was one younger girl who worked at the hotel who spoke very good English and very pleasant to talk to. She was working the night we arrived which was nice after a long journey to get to Bayeux. The manager of the hotel was very helpful in booking a taxi and thoughtful of our travel plans. A rail strike was in progress during our stay and she went out of her way to help ensure that our departure was good. The breakfast was very good, but I found it to be bit pricey for a family of 4. I would stay here again and definitely recommend this location to any Canadian or American traveling to this area.

Very nice hotel. Room was very large and comfortable. Easy to get to from train station and close to everything. They were nice enough for us to leave our luggage after checkout. O.

This hotel met all our needs. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast served was more than adequate. The town was wonderful and easy to navigate.

Perfect location, lovely rooms, nice and clean… Tv is French and I mean French. If you want something in the background while you are getting ready to go out or just a glimpse at the news before bed then go straight to your phone all channels are french apart from a couple in Italian. This is a minor thing but still. There is no free coffee in the morning but you pay 2 euros for a lush coffee down the hall. Apart from these couple of things is trivial. The hotel is lovely, the staff are friendly and I will be coming back without question.

Delphine and the entire staff at Hotel Le Bayeux made my trip a wonderful experience. The hotel is a great place to stay when visiting the region. A short walk to the cathedral and may shops and restaurants. In addition, the hotel coordinated my half day tour of Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach and The American Cemetery.

Fantastic hotel for the price! Great location that is about 15 minute walk from the train station, 2 minute walk from Notre Dame Cathedral, 5-10 minute walk from the best restaurants and shops. We paid around €50 a night for a small room with a king size bed, bathroom, opening dormer window view, separate toilet room. Breakfast is on the expensive side at €13 a person. Instead, we walked about 200 meters to other restaurants to get coffee and breakfast for cheaper. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Damage: The plumbing is failing. Hot water after 4 minutes.
The hair dryer blows warm.
Otherwise, nice room. Well placed hotel in town.

Solid value hotel. I was in Bayeux for a d-day tour and Hotel Le Bayeux was the lowest priced hotel in its class. I was pleased with the hotel. Wi-Fi was free and very good. Beds were clean and decent (it's not a 5* heavenly but good for the price) and the location is one of the closest if you are walking from the train station. I would highly recommend the hotel for a quick overnight stay.

Clean average size (small by North American standards) room. Mine had 3 beds so not much room for all our bags. Lots of hot water good water pressure. Breakfast was worth every penny. The owner recommended a nearby (walk to) restaurant (L'Assiette Normande — across from the cathedral) with the most fantastic food. Highly recommend staying here. Clean, friendly staff, great breakfast.

13 Euros The breakfast is theft especially with regard to what is proposed. Perhaps it would be necessary for hoteliers to see in other hotels what should correspond to this price.

Big room and big TV. Super easy and fast check-in by helpful staff. Bathroom was a bit musty but liked the separate room for the toilet. Easy parking on the road. Didn't like being on the same floor as the restaurant in the morning. Too many children running around shouting disturbing the peace.

Very good…! Excellent attention. Good location. Comfortable room, new bathrooms, impeccable. The hotel offers tours to the beaches of the unloading, Mont Saint Michel, etc. The very friendly and super knowledgeable guide.

Clean and comfortable rooms, the room for three has single beds and is quite spacious, the bathroom is spacious and comfortable with its cabinet to store everything, there is also the scale. It is a few steps from the center, in a few minutes you reach the cathedral, the museums and the course with the shops and restaurants of which most closes at 21:00.

Quaint little hotel in Bayeux. Inexpensive. Rooms are small ("cramped" by N. American standards) and dated. There is very limited on-site parking available (see photo) ; if you are driving, you should call ahead to reserve a parking space. Staff at the hotel are simply wonderful — — very friendly and ready to assist with your Bayeux/Normandy touring experience.

A solid choice as a hotel, and I think for what it is — — especially considering how tourist-y Bayeux is — — it is a good value. Staff were very helpful; breakfast was extensive although they could work on their scrambled eggs a little bit. I also could hear frying bacon from my room at 7am; I guess I was near the kitchen. They stored my bike in their garage without any problems. Cleanliness, atmosphere, and location all very good.

My wife and I were very pleased with the service we received at this hotel. We are also amazed by the manner in which they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and without worries. Our hostess, Patrice, was a complete angel. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

We had a great time at Hotel Le Bayeux. The staff was very helpful, especially Lucy and Pierre. They were very responsive to our needs and questions and did a great job of guiding us to good restaurants and sights. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends.

I would just like to say thank you to Hotel Le Bayeux. These people are phenomenal! Honestly they are so accommodating and really did everything to put together an amazing package for our family. Unfortunately our plans had to be cancelled but — they even called to make sure it was not them and tried to facilitate another time. Very well placed hotel in the city centre of Bayeux. Comfortable but aging — a cigarette smell in the hallway.

I stayed as tour manager at this hotel with a group of 28 adults on the weekend of the 2nd May to the 5th. May. A really good hotel with very helpful and obliging staff. Rooms were adequate and the breakfast was all you could ask for. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and the local restaurant that guests can eat at.

Second time here and it is actually better than our last visit. The hotel is of good quality, very friendly and helpful staff. Close to everything and a good base for visiting the D-Day beaches etc. Would recommend this hotel highly.

Perfect Place centrally located hotel to explore this beautiful city. The rooms are small by American standards (my measuring stick) but clean, tidy and efficient if you are there to tour the town and not sit in the room all day. Leave your key on at the desk when you leave, pick it up when you return, easy. Breakfast served is limited, but healty and will provide you energy for the morning. There is a TV in the room with two English speaking channels (BBC and CNN) — bring your iPod or laptop if you need entertainment at night. Perfect place for a tourist — not a B and B. Will go back.
