ibis Valence Sud

We stayed for 1 night only. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was OK but could be much better. Swimming pool opening ours (opening at 11am) were not good for us, we would have liked it to open earlier to take advantage of it. Staff were really nice.

Everything went well. Good gated parking. Clean room. The breakfast was Ok.

An overnight travelling stop. The receptionist was professional and polite on check-in. Our room was on the 4th floor and was lovely and clean and comfortable.
The breakfast was abundant and varied, a very nice surprise compared to our previous hotel.

Everything perfect; just had to call by phone to have someone open the front gate, at 1 a. M. I must admit. But then found a parking spot even with a very long trailer behind the SUV.

Room very worn and in need of deep cleaning. Feels very outdated.
Good parking and welcoming staff. Easy access.

Perfect for a night stay if you travel by car. I truly hated the hardness of bed and extreme softness of pillows, but that is what you get for that price. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. The airco seemed to have no effect. Breakfast was rather limited. Big plus for being pet friendly.

Clean room and affordable room, perfect for a one or two night stop if travelling in France. Plus a lovely pool to take a dip in after driving all day. Couldn’t of asked for more.

The room was ok. The parking was spacious and closed off with a gate. The pool was basic and unfortunately closed from 20:00. This information should have been more clearly stated. And it opens at 11:00 so there is little time before check out time (12:00) to get a refreshing dive.
The person at the reception was not at all friendly, I think she should have a backoffice job. When checking in she was not polite, when we just entered the pool area she was not at all polite in the way she made clear the pool was closing. She didn't say anything about the opening time of the pool for the next day. She could clearly see that we didn't have the chance to enter the pool so closing it was disappointing for us. It seems she has no hospitality mindset, instinct or intention.

The hotel is a rather new building located near a series of roundabouts near the motorway. It provides parking, which was much appreciated. The reception had the usual Ibis basic look, plasticky but clean enough.
Our room on the fourth floor was the usual tiny room this type of hotel provides, basic beds, tiny shelves, and a teeny, tiny rack to hang a couple of jackets, instead of a wardrobe, and in the bathroom only one flimsy towel that you can use to dry your face and your a*s after the shower.
The staff was friendly enough but when my husband asked how to regulate the airco, because the room was coldish, the receptionist told him the airco doesn't work because "people complain it's too hot or too cold so they switched it off" which was a weird answer. She gave him a blanket to deal with the cold, but the blanket was dirty and quite disgusting (photo attached).
We had breakfast in the hotel for which we paid 7, 50 € because we did not have time to look for another restaurant and needed to get on our way ASAP. If it wasn't for the disgusting blanket I would have given them a 3, because everything here is average, but the blanket was a major downer.
