Very accomodating, super friendly, nicely furnished, very nice garden and pool (but cold! ), close to Carcassonne. Totally recommended!

The Château Palajas is full of charm, very welcome. I recommend this place as well for couples and families.

Dating birthday weekend… Ideal place to meet in love in a superb place both in the exteriors and the castle! The welcome is very professional but also very warm, Mrs. Rémy takes the time to chat with her guests. The Fontfroide suite is very beautiful and silence reigns in this corner of paradise. Small aperitif in the living room, surrounded by books and we dined at the restaurant right next door S… As… and the meal was very good. We had a great time in this haven of peace… To redo for a new anniversary. Thank you!

Nice hotel, spacious rooms and well served breakfast, our point of fall in the area. And this year we even tested the wonderful meal trays offered by Catherine, for the days when the restaurant is closed and you do not necessarily want to move, a really great idea.

Beautiful place, very beautiful building of 1780, far from the tumult of the big cities and only 5 minutes from the city of Carcassonne. Charming restaurant at the bottom of the park, swimming pool, sauna, suite and comfortable rooms.
Rent a bike and many walks on the area.
Everything is assembled for a dream stay.

Ideally located (only 5 minutes from the city of Carcassonne), this magnificent recently restored building boasts a huge park.
Ideal hotel for a family holiday (some suites include a room separated by children) : Many activities are available on site (swimming pool, petanque, bicycle, board games, books…).
Eric and Catherine are in the small care to satisfy small and large.
Breakfast is varied and offers local and homemade products. It is the same for meat and cheese boards (with a glass of wine, on the terrace… the top! ) which are also offered. For more elaborate meals, a restaurant is just a few steps away (in the same building).
Do not hesitate to go live for reservations. They are extremely responsive.

I stayed here with my wife in the early spring. The hotel is basically in Carcassonne but unlike alot of other hotels we have stayed in and around the Carcassonne area this one has a beautiful large garden where we had breakfast. Our room and bathroom were both a good size and the whole building had a really nice feel. The owners have kept the feel of the original, period building but with some nice contemporary touches. There is also a top notch restaurant next door. I'd say this is an ideal base from which to explore Carcassonne and the surrounding area. Shame we could only stay the one night.

Beautiful hotel set in a lovely and quiet village a stone's throw away from Carcassonne's ramparts. The hotel is owned by a very friendly couple eager to provide tourists with information on things to do in the region (there are many). Strongly recommend for couples and families alike.

Excellent luxury hotel at 5 min from the old city of Carcassonne with a warm welcome from the owner. additionnaly they do speak English pretty well. The room we had for 3 nights was very large with a nice view on the park.

We decided to take a long weekend with your family. With 2 teenagers it is not always easy for everyone. And well, we are delighted with our stay at the Château de Palaja. The room for 4 people we occupied was very spacious (in 50 m2). Quiet and spotlessly clean (I have asthma so I watch). The medieval city of Carcassonne is still as magical and at only 5 minutes by car. Ms. Remy advised us to go to the hooked-branch: it takes 3 hours to enjoy. The course is great and the girls are exploded. And to relax on our return, a dip in the pool of the Castle. We really enjoyed this family weekend in a relaxing and really comfortable. Let's not forget the excellent breakfast. We really thank the owners for their warm welcome and their neat services.

The place is beautiful, cool, Nice. The welcome is fantastic, the owners are very kind and helpful. Beautiful apartments, airy and beautifully furnished. The facility is beautiful, surrounded by greenery, with a nice pool area very clean and large, a park to relax in the shade. Not to mention the Sauna and gym. Breakfast very rich and good, you can pretty much do in the garden. A real pleasure. Plus you can drink a cup of coffee worthy of the name. Excellent position to visit the medieval town of Carcassonne, only a 5-minute drive away. We made other stays in the area and honestly recommend it very much at all. Will recommend it to our friends, it was a truly to be repeated.

2 days and 2 nights in a lovely restored with care and taste! friendly hosts and a splendid library of BD. A lot of documentation about the region and its activities. The pool clean and well-maintained area. I wanted to still be a stop on the long road to vacation but probably victim of its deserved success. There is more room. (I live in france and my job is not to fill some fake reviews! it's so true).

A formidable experience. Chateau renovated with very good taste, mixes the original design. Note: its location, the excellent quality of the service, the warmth of its rooms and breakfast. Soloa is 5 minutes away from La Cite de Carcassonne and is ideal for a quiet and pleasant stay. Owners Cathy and Eric are very attentive and worried that everything was perfect. A great discovery! Super price-quality relationship.

A huge potential for this beautiful building, we were there end of February, it must be beautiful summer. Our room was great, immense, but warm, a sober and bright decoration. We took the opportunity to visit the other rooms: all lots of character! the bedding is at the top. They had even bought a 2 pillows!
the living room with the stove is a small cocoon and the BD collection of the owner at all. Formation of the sauna which was being installed, nice after a day were still somewhat fresh.
We were alone and yet the breakfast buffet was very comprehensive and plentiful: very good (important! ) bread, pastries, jams and artisanal honeys, cheeses and ham from the corner. A real meal!
and of course the staff that makes the difference with a hotel: the owners are adorable, very helpful, and it's nice to see people who s invest in it body and soul. Everyone participates in the work, and many regional and cultural animation projects will probably emerge. It changes the foreigners who invest in our beautiful regions and do not have d efforts for benefits.
Special mention to Mr l cabinetmaker, their friend who makes furniture with wood recycling and metal which dominate in the rooms. L gold in the hands!
Anyway, again thank you and we will be back on sunny days.

The family room we stayed in was lovely. We have stayed in quite a few hotels as a family and this was the best yet! A very large master bedroom, with separate WC, bathroom and children's room. Period building, very nicely furnished in modern style, comfy beds, lovely bathroom etc etc Catherine was a great host, just the right level of care and yet lovely relaxed feel. They are putting a lot of effort into opening what will be a fantastic small hotel. A haven of peace just a few minutes from Carcasonne. I guess it will be fully booked in a year or so. Go for it.

The chateaux is a palace which are reforming (April 2009 to expect to see the end of long years of work) and the truth is that besides being very spacious, lots of light, quiet and overlooking gardens and woodlands, rooms tastefully (between modern minimalism and something rustic furniture) and plagued by details (a few soaps shampoo, towels and bathrobes much quality, details like fruit basket and meringues arriving, ample assortment, much tourist information of the area. ). We were alone in one of the two rooms available, with a very assorted breakfast buffet and more details, such as cakes and homemade jams and fruit garden, with swimming pool to ourselves and gardens to discover. It is also five minutes from Carcassonne and slightly more than the Canal du Midi. The guidelines given by the owners made our romantic trip fantastic (and speak many languages! French, English, Russian, Romanian, something Spanish. ). We do not have to thank you much for the good time last M. Et Mme Rémy. We will repeat safe.

Además la piscina es un acierto, especialmente si buscas tranquilidad y los desayunos en el jardin IMPRESIONANTES.
El servicio maravilloso, con un desayuno abundante y de gran calidad, todo esto a un precio muy bueno.
La pareja que lo regenta nos ayudo en todo momento, nos indicaba a donde ir a cenar o comer, o que visitar.
De verdad fue un aniversario de boda que no olvidaremos y sin duda volveremos.

Since the beginning we’ll see we found a great hotel, only 5 minutes to Carcassonne in gorgeous building and the rooms are a combination between modernity and the essence of the old building.
Moreover, the swimming pool is great, especially if you are looking for some tranquility and the breakfast on the garden MARVELLOUS.
The service was fantastic, the quality of the breakfast really high even with homemade cakes.
