So beautiful! Gertrude's yoga practice has revolutionised my yoga practice. The house is incredible, which holds and supports you in your stay. Food is delicious and completely nourishing. I hope to visit another time!
Gertrude's energy and kindness permeates the retreat filling the space with a warmth and tranquility that is so hard to find in everyday life. On this 5 day 'Breath from the Soul' retreat it is a luxury to simply just be without question or pressure. The noble silence is a great opportunity for reflection and a surprisingly liberating experience. That along with the wonderful vegan food, daily meditation and yoga practice makes it a must do retreat that I will no doubt visit again in the future.

In response to Loredana's review below, we honour that not everyone may experience our retreats in the same way and she is entitled to her opinion. We would simply like to take the opportunity to correct any mis-stated facts in her review: We are a small retreat centre and our formal retreats (2-4 a year) include daily periods of silence (20:30 hrs in the evening until noon the next day). This is clearly described on our website. This leaves 8 hours each day during which we talk as normal. The format is a good introduction to silent retreating. Although a privilege in our busy world, keeping silent can be challenging, if you have not experienced it before. However, from our experience, most people really love the silent periods after an initial day or two of adjustment. There was no flood in the house either prior, during or after that retreat. During her stay, the weather was un-seasonally foggy, damp and disappointing. Not everyone seeks what we offer, please visit our website, or get in touch with us if you have any questions.
