Very friendly staff. No air conditioner, just a fan. We stayed in July surprisingly we hadn’t problems with the air. The room is small, but functional. Sink and toilet are en suite with the shower in shared in the hall. Everything was very clean. The location is amazing!

The room was clean but on first floor with no AC. It was really not what's on the pictures. The location was great, but everything else not so good.

Splendid location, comfortable and well catered… Good breakfast and two blocks from the Louvre Museum…

The hotel have a Nice location and that is it. It was old in bad condition not clean. This hotel should only have one star due to the good location. I would not recommend this.

Good value for money. Otherwise, lots of things to redo and a breakfast room too cramped.

Very well placed. The rooms do not look alike at any point. 3 Rooms booked and 3 rooms totally different.

Close to everything, safe, clean, friendly, … but very outdated and old. For example, floors are uneven. Though I was dizzy walking to toilet. No, just the floor. :)

Old and dirty dwellings, too expensive poru what it is, I discourages there is a whole lot of hotel in Paris cétait one of the worst…

Central Location, just a few steps from the Louvre. Well appointed and spacious Rooms. Very friendly Staff.

The location is amazing and perfect. Less than five minutes to Louvre-museum. And there are bus stops and metropolitan stations nearby. Lots of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets are located in five minute distance. Room was clean and tidy. Not that big but not small at all. Bathroom was also clean and had enough space. The staff were kind of blunt. They rarely smiled.

Bathroom very large and nice shower. Comfy beds. No ac. Hot as Hades.

Economic price. Close to the Louvre and close to Opéra Garnier. Free Wifi but it works fatal. Nice reception. The staff were very friendly and helpful. No air conditioning. No complimentary shampoo. Only 2 plugs in the room. Relatively spacious room.

Very central hotel, convenient for the metro, and very close to the Louvre.
Category 2 stars, but I've seen 2 stars far worse. We booked 2 quadruples, very different from each other: one bright and spacious, the other less.
However, the staff was very helpful.

Excellent hotel to get to know Paris, it is very well located, close to Metro line. A few blocks from the Louvre museum. Clean and spacious rooms.

No frills but you're not gonna spend that much time in the hotel anyway. Great if you want to explore the 1st Arondissement, for the price you cant beat.

Ideal place to stay… its only 10min walk to Louvre.

Best bang for the buck! Easy walking access from the train/metro line and walking distance to the Louvre and other sights. In fact we walked the entire Paris tour. Hotel is clean, safe and in a good part of town. Staff spoke English and was very polite to everyone. Highly recommended.

Price to performance ratio is probably close to unbeatable.

The Hotel Montpensier advertises that it offers free Wi-Fi access, but in fact it is only available in a small space (the lobby). If you want to use the internet from your room, it will cost you 20 Euros. Breakfast is also not free: it costs 9 Euros. There are many better hotels in this same neighborhood for the money.

It is a very nice hotel, its people always try to help you even if you do not understand, is 1 or 2 blocks from the louvre Museum and few blocks from sectors top of Paris (Opera Theatre, Place Vandome, Champs-Elysées, etc).
It is not a great luxury hotel, I believe that its greatest luxury is the location, you have to accommodate the small elevator; and I do not recommend the rooms on the top floor because they are narrow and hot in the summer since they do not have air conditioning.
But if you want to dream in an old and beautiful building in this perfect Paris; According to what we commented a few gringos there are rooms best, as in that they were, they had returned to the hotel since they spent their honeymoon here itself.
