Review of Hôtel AMI 3*

Made a booking/reservation four months ago with a voucher bought from the company TouriDat. The reservation was confirmed twice via mail & phone in January through an employee directly from the hotel. Less than 24 hours before our arrival the manager mailed me a simple „You reservation is cancelled. “ After contacting them directly to ask what has happened they‘ve just told me the voucher isn‘t valid (the voucher was bought in 12/2016 and is valid for three years, so I don‘t get it). Moreover they‘ve told me about a new management & that the cooperation with the voucher‘s company was finished one year ago. Never heard anything about the cooperation being finished, nobody has informed us about this incident. So how is it possible that we‘ve got a confirmation four months ago when the cooperation was already finished one year ago? The biggest problem of all: They had plenty of time to inform us about the cancellation (so in worst case we could have found another accommodation) but instead of mailing me months before I‘ve got the confirmation they‘ve just cancelled it less than 24 hours before the arrival. There was no need for them to say „sorry“ or „we can offer you a solution. “ They‘ve even stopped answering my mails and the employee at the telephone wasn‘t helpful at all. She just told me „the hotel is fully booked“, I assume they prefer paying guests over those who have a voucher instead. So the room got cancelled for us. I think the hotel staff doesn‘t know in what kind of consequences this results for us. Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip completely (including train tickets, planning, holidays, plenty of stress, etc. ) I‘m very dissapointed that the whole trip had to be cancelled but in this spontaneity we weren‘t able to find an affordable accommodation in Paris. I‘m not that type of person who writes bad reviews (trust me, this is my first time but I‘ve never had such a bad experience at all) therefore I had the urge to inform people so they won‘t experience this bad incident as well.
