Great location. Comfortable well priced hotel with no frills.

Decent hotel for the price. Nice staff but the RO I stayed in could use a little work. Wi-Fi was a bit spotty but not a bad place to lay your head.

Convenient location, easy check-in inexpensive. Ideal for the purpose it was used (one night in Paris before flight home). Bathroom was a little smelly but seemed clean to the eye.

Booked a double economy room and got a room on the attic. The elevator works up to 5th floor but the attic and the room I've got was at the 6th floor. The bed was accessible only from one side as the height of the room was less than 20 inch (about 50cm) next to two of the walls. The room had nothing similar with the pictures posted on booking. Com for the double economy type of rooms. Never book this hotel again.

Small but clean room, same for the bathroom. The main thing is there, for one night is enough. Pro and friendly home.

A solid place to stay near Gare du Nord. The rooms are quite small, but the neighborhood is extremely well connected so you won't need to spend much time in the room. I will say that the free Wi-Fi is temperamental at best. Overall, I'd stay there again for a short visit.

Clean room, nice and cool. We were on the back side, away from the street so we didn't have road noise. Would definitely recommend.

In a busy part of Paris. Very close to Gare du Nord train station. Comfortable bed and some good restaurants nearby.

I give 5 stars because the staff is great, has extremely short distances to public transport and is very sweet in itself. You have the comfort of getting out of the hotel and getting straight on a bus that means it could be a little noisy as buses now run 24h, it didn't bother me even with the window open. I was bothered that the heating in the hotel was extremely warm … So in a bikini for breakfast and to the city then explore in the sweater.
Here is a neighborhood where bridal fashion and men's equipment is sold. Unfortunately, the sidewalks are folded up relatively early and the shutters down, if you want to sit near the hotel before bedtime a little else in a coffee/Bar/pub, it is no longer possible here. But for that you have the bus and the metro, my recommendation: The 30 to Trocadero Square or the Metro M4 to St. Michel (Notredam).

It is not a luxury hotel, but in any case it has nice rooms and a delicious breakfast buffet at a good price.

Very nice hotel, 4 minutes walk from Gare du Nord and ideal for a weekend incl. Sightseeing in Paris! The hotel is very clean and well organized. The staff at the reception (24 hours staff) is very friendly, helpful and multilingual! In the breakfast room as well! Breakfast is more than adequate and the breakfast room stylish but very cozy. Our rooms were of normal size (as expected in Paris), clean, very cozy and tastefully furnished and equipped with some amenities of small kitchen, slippers… An ideal hotel for family (like us) want to explore Paris. The location to the Gare du Nord is ideal, in the near vicinity many good restaurants to end the evening! We will definitely book the Hotel Avalon again on our next visit!

Lovely Hotel, great location, just a short walk from the gare du nord railway station and short walks to metro stations for access to central Paris. Rooms are nice and breakfast was adequate. We didn't pay a fortune and it was great for the money and the staff are friendly.

Had a stay of one night with daughter and grandsons in comfortable clean rooms. Friendly welcome and splendid breakfast with options to suit all tastes. Convenient for stations and wide choice of local restaurants.

Very welcoming place, it feels like a 4 star hotel, I liked the simplicity of the building but the room are well ordered and very nice, room service is on time and we had the best stay.

It was a nice hotel with friendly staff. Bed was comfortable with extra pillows. The hotel is in need of a spruce up and good clean.

Beds are no longer the best. Matztratenwechsel would be advisable. Otherwise everything is perfectly all right.

Close to the train with a perfect, small breakfast. Don't use the hotel's ride to the airport as the driver was very rude, didn't help with our bags! Small, clean hotel perfect for a short stay.

Nice and clean rooms. Don't expect much of the Wi-Fi… very slow. Employee's are nice. Busstop in front of the hotel takes you to the Eiffel tower in 25 minutes for only € 2, —

Very good hotel, super comfortable in an area where you have train stations and meters to move in different lines and RER. I went with my daughter and it was worth it, Repeatia, the only thing is the area after 10 pm, something alone or ugly. Recommended!

I have never stayed at such an awful hotel. Surely staff, the room was the size of a closet. When you opened the door it crashed into the end of the bed. Fixtures in room were in disrepair. No a/c. Over priced for what you get. We would have had more luxury at Motel 6.

Very good hotel, but the soundproofing is not of good quality and with a family room per floor it can be complicated.

Simple Hotel but clean, only lacks staff who speak in all languages.

This was a great find. Very quaint, very helpful staff. Close to the Nord station made getting around Paris very easy. We even wanted to go to Normandy for the weekend and they did not charge us for the two nights gone and stored luggage we didn't want to take and then had a room again when we came back. Good room rates for all these conveniences.

Great Hotel very near Gare du Nord train station. Staff are very helpful. Rooms are small but comfortable. All major sites are easily accessible as many bus routes and Metro stops are close by. Christopher on the reception is an excellent ambassador for this Hotel. Always ready to oblige. They will do their best to ensure a pleasant stay. English is fluently spoken.

In January, I booked and paid for a booking at this hotel for 15-18 September, as part of a visiting cricket team on tour from the UK. Owing to family illness I am now unable to join the tour and since 12 September I have sent several emails, in French and English, asking them to cancel my booking and requesting a refund of my 347 Euros. All my emails have been recorded as received, one has been read and one not read, but I have had no response or acknowledgement. I am very disappointed and feel rather cheated.

Clean and comfortable hotel for trips.

Great stay with family. Comfortable rooms and decent bathroom. Bit expensive for the services, but no complaints as worth all the money. Proximity to everything and good food options. Off all the visits to Paris, most enjoyable one, also due to stay at Avalon!

Good hotel near Gard de Nord.

Overall a lovely hotel. Comfy bed, nice breakfast reasonably priced, and friendly helpful staff. Our key card needed reprogramming a couple of times during our 4 night stay but the reception staff were happy to help. Room was a bit on the small side but when in Paris, a hotel room is just somewhere to sleep as there is so much to do and see. Excellent location.

The hotel was really great. Please don't get confused about 3 stars. That was just for the room being so cramped. The location is an absolute advantage and the staff were so courteous. I'd definitely visit again.

I stayed for 4 nights earlier this year. The rooms were lovely. I loved the balcony on my room. The facilities were comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is close to the trains, the neighbourhood was vibrant and I always recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Paris.

What a great hotel. Staff couldn't have been more helpful! We thought it was a good location, super close to the Gard de Nord, and just a short walk to a red bus stop. Super comfortable beds. For the price it was great! And was surprised at how spacious the family room was. Loved it!

Perfect location hence for the 4 star rating. Very close to train station and HALAL food outlet Lift or elevator fits for 2, very small. Room is okay but not sound proof. Basic hotel therefore do not expect much. Galleries Lafayette is about 30 minutes walk.

Perfectly located to get off the train from London at Gare du Nord — literally a short walk around the corner. Also short walking distance to Sacre Couer, Moulin Rouge and Pompidou. Rooms are small but comfortable and double glazed windows block out the noise. Computer and printer downstairs came in handy to print tickets bought online for transport and tourist attractions. Also close to stops on the hop-on hop-off buses.

Warm and friendly hotel with amazing links to gare du nord and all attractions! Breakfast was amazing had a 3rd floor room facing a busy road but rooms are double glazed and beds so comfortable sleep was not affected… staff spoke good English and we're extremely helpful and accommodating would highly recommend this reasonably priced hotel.

Wel, the room and so are fine. But the big down side was the cold shower. Great English speaking staff.

A complete shambles! Waited three hours for check in, was asked by the hotel check-in staff to take keys to rooms and check if any other guest was staying in the room and if empty we could have the room! Even when we booked in advance! Rooms had no air conditioning, toilets were flooding, found several cockroaches in the room, ALIVE AND DEAD, at the end this became a complete nightmare of stay. Would never recommend to anyone! Always book a well known hotel with a decent rating! Only stayed for one night, but will remember this shambles of a place for the rest of my life!

The location of the hotel is great, you can reach many places on foot.
The service is good.
However, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Which, however, I have noticed often in Paris.

On the plus side, 2 Mins walk from the station is great when you arrive and for trains to get around paris if your lazy. On the down side don't expect much help from quasimodo in the morning at the reception desk and the place needs a bit of TLC.

The hotel is not in a quiet part of town but is ideally located for Gare du Nord and Montmartre and you can easily get to any part of the city via the metro system. The staff are polite and helpful and speak excellent English.

The staff was most helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Rooms were small but clean and we enjoyed a balcony that overlooked a busy street. The location was convenient to Monmartre and Sacre-Coeur and both train stations: Gare de l'Est and Gare de Nord.
