Very disappointed room obtained after 2 hours of waiting and overbilling when leaving household not necessarily made hair in the bathtub very disappointed with the services and value for money ship without captain damage.

The place was incredible — couldn’t fault it. However, the service and especially the housekeeping service were a huge let down.

Very nice hotel located in the heart of Burgundy.

We loved the staff was at the lovely little care very attentive, the spacious room as well as the bathroom, the super cozy beds, the meal at armàcon was excellent nothing to say, tasting at the top the spa for us 2 after the awesome meal.

Welcome very warm at the level of the golf course or at the restaurant! There is a really nice team! The course is superbly maintained! Bravo!

A beautiful and relaxing setting surrounded by a golf course. Bistrot very friendly, we did not test the restaurant. The wine making journey with the sommelier of the castle was exciting. To do it again. With a coupon groupon or a box because it's still very expensive otherwise.

On the other hand, the decoration of the room and common areas is quite disappointing (it smells like decoration made in the 90s and well refreshed. Dirty carpet, yellow plaster,. )

I'm only talking about the l'Armançon restaurant.

Don't be impressed by the beautiful setting. The restaurant looks very chic when you walk in. One imagines a kitchen at the height of the setting.

But what a slap! The kitchen is bland, unsurprising, joyless. A long dinner and a deadly boredom for the taste buds. Truffle everywhere (almost) but dry and tasteless. Seafood or overcooked fish. A dessert served with the wrong cutlery. In short, a real disappointment with a very salty addition.

Fortunately, the short wine list is beautiful and the sommelier offers good advice. The service is rigorous and very friendly.

In short, go your way, there is nothing to see.

Excellent stay at Chailly Castle. The place and the setting are exotic. Many activities are offered to satisfy everyone. Gourmet meal very gourmet! A welcoming staff.

Restaurant overrated. Good but not gourmet. Price is equivalent to a 1* but it’s not. The hotel is beautiful is a very interesting area.

We played golf with 10 people on the park golf course aside the hotel. Well maintained and varied course, good space, and excellent for stating golfers. However, we had lunch in the hotel restaurant which was appalling. We all ordered the menu to simplify the order, but nevertheless we had to wait a long time. The served duck was ice cold inside. When we complained the waiter shrugged their shoulders, took away our plates, warmed them and returned the plates distributing them around the table without a notice to the wrong locations soking the duck in more mediocre sauce. Starter and desert were mediocre as well, certainly not a four star hotel menu. When we were eating the desert, the waiters started to clean the table because they wanted to go home. In the end no excuses were made or compensation was given. This was definitely not a four star hotel treatment, neither was the food.

Frankly disappointed by this place that was advertised as top. The pool next to the restaurant ruins the view. The dishes are not top, the service is average.

An unforgettable stay. Between the beautiful surroundings, the gardens, the size of the rooms, the excellent bedding and cleanliness in general, it was a treat! The staff are attentive and blameless. Thanks for everything!

Idyllic setting and staff at the top. Everything is done to make us feel good. The breakfast buffet is very provided and varied. The restaurant "Le Rubillon" is of very high quality.

Excellent reception. Delicious food. Chocolate/Caramel Dessert highly appreciated. Not having been able to visit the Château de Mont Saint Jean fermé, it is with pleasure that we will return in the spring for other flavors…

Château de Chailly is French hospitality at its highest. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, the rooms are spacious and have all the amenities you would expect: soft linen, a huge king size bed, towels and bathrobes to feel caressed by, and a bath fit enough for two! ;-)
And that is just the start. There is an outdoor heated swimming pool with gorgeous views over the golf course, a hammam and a jacuzzi, tennis courts, a great American bar with gorgeous rosemary gin cocktails amongst others.
You can easily book some wine tasting sessions in their cellar with a great choice of wines (this is the best wine region in the world after all! ), and the cuisine is some of the best I have ever sampled. There are two options for dining, a very elegant restaurant with all sort of seasonal choices, from oysters to turbot and scampi, and truffle dressed cheese to caramel filled apple on a thin delightful shortcut pastry, and more, and a less formal restaurant downstairs where you can have a more affordable (prices are affordable anyway for the quality you get at both restaurants) choice of one, two or three course dinner.
Breakfast is simply a feast of options, served everyday from 7 till 10, and on Sunday, (ideal for sleeping beauties like me), there is also the option to have brunch between 11.30 am and 3 pm; a must try!
I could go on and on, but to truly appreciate this place, you have to see it and try it for yourself.
Would I stay here again?

I stayed at Hôtel Golf du Château de Chailly with a friend in early April, and absolutely loved it. The room was comfortable, the setting was so picturesque, and we loved everything we ate at the three course dinner and the breakfast buffet. They also had a nice sauna & hot tub area which we took full advantage of — there's nothing like time in the sauna to put you to sleep after a long day of travel :-) I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the area!
