Best hotel to see Beaune old town — it's just next to it. Have spaceous modern rooms. And I have to admit that it's the best one to stay with kids. They have play corner admired by kids. Secured parking makes the trip also comfortable.
Great location of this hotel in Beaune, located on ‘the ring road’ which is very functional, having clean rooms (get a family room if not too much more as it is bigger, the one with the sofa bed will give you a bigger open area). We used this hotel as the base to explore Burgundy, I personally prefer Beaune over Dijon as Beaune is a smaller historical town but with enough restaurants and amenities. We bought our own wine from a local cave (wine store) in town (Cave Des Hospice, the owner is very friendly and gives us a glass of wine every time we are there, they have a great select of older wines in great condition, you need to search for that bargain! ) and then open the wine in the lobby lounge area, the staff was great even cleaning the wine glasses we brought and wiping down the tables afterwards (we watched the 2018 World Cup matches there). There is underground parking for €9 per day or you can park in public car parks within a 5-10min walk (too hard for me! ). Breakfast is very simple, a simple continental breakfast with the only hot item been the boil your own egg (to the style you want), but they do have an real-time freshly squeeze orange juice machine. There is a Casino supermarket behind the hotel (3min walk) and a kebab place around the corner on the way to the supermarket for last snacks!

36°C heat in high summer and the lift has been out of order for days, so we had to carry heavy luggage up & down 3 flights of stairs. Only cups in the room were broken plastic ones. Not even a tissue available in the room. Very slippery shower floor surface — I'm not sure how they can get away with that in such a public space? And then some idiot had set the alarm timer on the television to come on at 4:00am, and there's no way of knowing this has been set until you are rudely awoken by a blaring TV at 4am. The breakfast included was adequate and the staff are friendly enough, but everything about this place screams cost-cutting from every angle. At least the air-conditioning in the room worked well and the bed was comfortable, although the room itself was cramped.
