Very good, quiet, clean, and ideal to rest after hours walking and the young friendly reception, and outstanding detail.

Lovely place. It is surprising that in a village flooded by the locals for tourists a hotel keeps its original charm.
The kitchen of the place is spectacular. Little variety of dishes but with an outstanding bill.
Excellent homemade cuisine highly recommended for almost half the price that any of the restaurants around it. Although the menu is short do not hesitate because you will be surprised.
A lovely staff who didn't hesitate to serve us when we had finished the food service.
Highly recommended and place to return without hesitation.

Fantastic hotel in brilliant location. Reasonably priced comfortable rooms. Free parking opposite. Very friendly owners and staff. Very ģood for the Camino. The best thing about the hotel is the food — they have tiny menu written on a shred of paper — it is the sort of outstanding home cooked food that used to be common in france but is now almost impossible to find — the rabbit in prunes was spectacular. A big contrast to the the tourist trap restaurants in st jean with their surly staff. I cannot wait to return to this hotel.

Very friendly home, meal or everything is homemade excellent and copious (delicious soup, appetizer, dish and dessert) for a price defying any competition. I would definitely recommend!

Restaurant frequented mainly by the people who work in the neighborhood. Menu reduced to simple dishes, but very well cooked home. Especially the soup.

Can't do more fun than the bosses!
The hotel is in accordance with its price category. The room had some small problems such as broken toilets (functional but noisy) and a Wi-Fi with a bit weakling flow. It does not remove its charm and its value for money at this hotel which is also very well located.

Simple and original kitchen. Everything is homemade. The dishes are excellent and plentiful. The reception is warm and the price of the addition is well below average. A restaurant to recommend without hesitation!

The room was very clean and the staff was very accommodating. The breakfast the following morning was a great start to my Camino walk.

A small restaurant without frills or pretensions, neat and extremely welcoming. Attractive menu, home-made! Unbeatable value for money. An excellent restaurants and dessert of the day home. I particularly recommend.

Hotel des Remparts is a hotel from another time — — rather than the corporate blandness of the Accors, etc. What you get is a small hotel in a sprawling Basque style building with a bar and restaurant on the ground floor. The people are nice, the rooms are nice (they even have at least one family room with two double beds and en suite), and the restaurant is nice (try the Axoa! ). If you are in the neighbourhood then certainly consider it.
