Cheers Mel and Richard, had a wonderful stay. Can we thank your chickens, cats and guinea pig's as well. Many thanks for all your help and advice. Can we order some better weather next time, and sorry if we eat all your plums.
Fantastic place run by two lovely people. Melanie and Richard are super hosts who can't do enough to make you feel welcome. The well maintained gardens with their free range chickens and guinea pigs are a peaceful haven. The fantastic swimming pool is great to relax in or around. All of the rooms are warm and welcoming, spotlessly clean, with lots of homely touches. Melanie's home made meals, jams and chutneys are superb. Can't wait to stay again!

We have visited here on our family holiday for the last 3 years. We usually hire a single Gite for all our family to stay in, but this year we hired 2, as we had a party of 16, The owners of the Gites are lovely people, and can't do enough for us when we visit. The husband (Richard) is a sociable chap, who will gladly take time to help you settle in, and usually has a nice cold beer ready for when you arrive! We have in the past had food on site, which is of a high standard, and cooked by the wife (Melanie). All for a very reasonable price. The Gites are in approximately 3+ acres of farm land, situated a few miles from the local village, Sauze Vaussais. Which has a decent size supermarket for provisions, an excellent Pizza restaurant and a bar. On site there is a large Salt Water pool (fenced off for safety) which is great for kids, as it doesn't sting their eyes like a Chlorine filled pool. There are plenty of things to do on site. Table Tennis, Badminton, Croquet, Swimming!, Table football, Boules, Swings etc… If it's raining (only one day in 3 visits lasting a fortnight each! ) … there are plenty of books and DVD's (English & French). If your children like animals, there are plenty to keep them amused on sight. Roaming Guinea pigs, Ducks and Chickens to name a few. Our children who are 7 & 9 can't wait to come here every year. For a family, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Chatenet is a wonderful place, run by equally lovely people. You won't be disappointed!
