We have now stayed at Bibi and Dieter's @ Saint Alfonso's twice — once as we travelled to book our wedding, and the second time in the lead up to the wedding day itself. Second time round we stayed on the top floor room (Chambre 2) — it was huge and architecturally stunning. What always makes our stay so superb is Bibi, Dieter (and of course their lovely Boston Terrier "Junior") — they are so warm and welcoming, and make delicious pancakes for breakfast! Nothing was too much trouble — they even helped booked some local taxis for us on the day of our wedding. A wonderful stay and we cant wait to come back to the area and stay again!
I have always wanted to stay in a log cabin but never had the opportunity — we booked 2 nights in the most amazing cabin imaginable at Saint Alfonso's — hand built by the owners and literally a piece of art, located in its own grounds and totally idyllic. Constructed of all natural materials with an amazing picture window view over the grounds. The bed was wonderful and we enjoyed showering outdoors, sitting by our own camp fire under the stars and having an off grid experience whilst having everything we needed in terms of comfort and convenience. Dieter and BeBe were wonderful hosts and we booked an additional night in Saint Alfonso's house accommodation to keep the experience going a little longer. Breakfast is a pleasure and Dieter will make you as many cups of delicious coffee as you need whilst BeBe keeps the organic pancakes coming. Junior the dog is also a sweetie and provides a friendly welcome every morning. Sad to leave but determined to visit again…
