Hôtel Les Grillons

We stayed at the hotel for one night on short notice and were completely satisfied. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were beautiful and comfortable. We felt very welcome and will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Travelling around France, we parked our hired campervan in the campsite on the other side of the road and, looking for somewhere pleasant to eat, decided to try this hotel, which was just a 400m walk away in the other side of the road, as we'd earlier noticed the sign outside said 'Restaurant Terraces open every day'. We duly enquired about a table with the receptionist, who disappeared to 'check' (the sign said open!? ) but when she returned she said there were no tables available, even though we could see the dining room was deserted! So, fellow travelers, I suggest you just keep driving and give this place a wide berth, … not worth your time of day!

Hotel Les Grillons: A Perfect Getaway.
Our 4-night stay at Hotel Les Grillons was absolutely perfect. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful, making our two families feel right at home.
The dining was exceptional. The chef adapted the menu for our dietary needs, creating beautifully plated, gourmet-quality dishes that were all delicious. The dinner staff, especially Emric, provided superb service with impressive knowledge of the food and wine, making every meal a delightful experience.
The hotel's location is ideal, just a short walk to the magical Angon beach with its clean, grassy areas. We also loved the pool and jacuzzi. Our spacious rooms with balconies were very comfortable.
Overall, Hotel Les Grillons is a haven of comfort and excellent service. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the Lake Annecy region.

Our stay at Hotel Les Grillons was nothing short of stupendous! It truly felt to us like a home away from home.
From the very second that we arrived, the staff made us feel like family. They super hardworking and kind! Whether we needed extra towels (which they brought quite quickly! ) or had our room cleaned, everything was done with care and a big smile If anyone deserves a promotion it’s them.
The hotel itself is in a wonderful area between the beach and the mountains. Although it’s a bit far from Annecy, the views of the tall mountains and lake make up for it. The pool is big and perfect for cooling down under the hot summer sun.
The restaurant deserves special mention. Dinner each night was included in the room price (breakfast too), and the food was truly outstanding. The Grillons chef has won several awards, and believe me it shows! The dishes are so delicious they could earn a Michelin star. The four-course dinners were of good size and left us feeling full and happy. Plus the restaurant was never too loud which provided a nice atmosphere. Again the service was exceptional!
Overall, our stay at Les Grillons was magnificent. It was cozy and homey and we will absolutely come back! I highly recommend a stay where if you are looking for quality for not too expensive and a classy stay with tons of comfort!

We have never enjoyed our food in a hotel as much, and what also added to our experience was the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff. The grounds of the hotel and the pool were beautifully kept and the location close to the lake and the. Mountains is excellent. All in all, Les Grillons is a very memorable experience.

A very comfortable hotel, however unacceptably poor management of a gluten free dietary requirement. Despite being issued at check-in with a card to display on our dining table (which highlighted gluten free requirement to waiting staff) 5 out of the 7 evening meals served contained gluten. Thankfully our own awareness and diligence identified this and serious illness was avoided. Inadequate communication between front of house staff and the kitchen appeared to be the root cause. A real shame because the food was actually very good when corrected but it completely ruined our hotel experience given the repeated offending.

Stayed 3 nights on half board. Delicious evening meals (7:30 — 8:30 pm arrival for seating) made by chef/co-owner include 4 course dinner with cheese plus ordinary buffet breakfast. (All dinner drinks are extra. ) Lunch is available at additional charge. Our top floor room (2nd floor) had a lovely view of the lake, but no balcony; no 2nd floor rooms have a balcony, & I don't think 1st floor rooms have a lake view, but they mostly have balconies. As much as I love a balcony, I'd still choose the 2nd floor for the lake view. My corner room was furthest from the pool, so no pool view. Room was plain but adequate (no art on walls), but spectacular mountain views out of 2 sides made up for bare walls. Grounds are spacious grass & trees with movable loungers set up on grass. English spoken by some staff.

This was my second visit to Les Grillons, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The rooms are very nice, with renovated bathrooms, comfortable beds, and views that do not quit. The dinners are delicious and elegant. Out of 21 dishes (7 meals), one dessert and one appetizer were the best I have ever had. Every other dish was good, very good, or fantastic. There are endless outdoor activities in the area, and the scenery is absolutely stunning. I will be back! Book well in advance.

Les Grillons is an exceptional family run hotel with a staff who are so friendly, professional and helpful. We enjoyed a fabulous four course meal every evening, prepared by the chef, Steve who is part of the lovely family. Our bedroom overlooking the lake was just perfect… very quiet and so comfortable. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our 2nd trip to Hotel Grillons as it was so fabulous the first time around. It certainly didn't disappoint. Wonderful staff, the cleanest of rooms & communal areas, exquisite food in the evening & good breakfast range too. The setting is sublime with views over the lake & mountains. It's a truly magical spot & exceptional value for money. As per our fist review, this is far more than a 3-star hotel! It gets 5-stars for us!
Special thanks to the cleaner of our room who was wonderfully friendly & adored seeing our little doggy each day. She was a credit to the hotel and our room was always spotless. Thankyou once again for a magical break…

I have just returned from a coach company holiday / tour with Parrys International (from the UK) which stayed at this beautiful hotel for five nights.
A truly fabulous hotel which is located overlooking Lake Annecy, and the mountain range.
Staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful. Rooms are fantastic, the grounds delightful, and as for the food… OMG, a real delight with wonderfully tasteful cuisine served each evening.
A true delight! Hope to return to relive this beautiful experience. Thank you so much.

We stayed in a Courtyard View Room at Les Grillons in July. The room was an adequate size with a wardrobe area which was separated by an internal door and a large bathroom with a separate toilet. The room had a safe, a small fridge, a full length mirror and a hairdryer. The air conditioning was both quiet and efficient. The room had a view over the car park, towards the mountains that surround Lake Annecy. The room was kept very clean. Our only criticism was the lack of storage space, especially for guests staying for more than just a few days. We felt that a set of drawers for storing small items of clothing and other bits and bobs, would have been far more useful than the table which was in our room. There were sufficient socket points in the room.
We stayed on a half board basis. Breakfasts were continental with a few extras, so in addition to croissants, pastries, breads and meats/cheeses, there was yogurt and granola, fruit, boiled eggs and pancakes. Anyone expecting bacon, sausages and fried eggs would be disappointed.
The hotel also provided packed lunches. These could be ordered the night before if you required one the next day.
The evening meal consisted of 4 courses, a starter, main course, cheese course and dessert. The main course wasn’t huge but the 4 courses were filling. Food was innovative and of a high standard although occasionally there may have been one ingredient too many. Desserts were especially good.

We stayed five days in this really lovely clean hotel. Our room was spacious and had a balcony with lake views. The food was superb; the breakfast was low key continental was perfectly adequate, but the dinner was varied and superb with the menu displayed each day at breakfast. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient.
Hotel located outside of Les Talloires but the bus stop into Annecy and other hamlets was very close to hotel and was so efficient!
Across the road was lane which lead to the lakeside. We absolutely loved our stay in this hotel and loved Annecy!
