Nice site with a fantastically friendly welcome from the young lady who guided us to our pitch. It is a short stroll to the lake where there is a restaurant and bar which are expensive but I guess you're paying for the location.
The camp is expensive to stay at as well especially given that all bar one of the showers near the lake have no hot water. However we just switched and walked up to the showers near the entrance which were better.
I can’t understand the 1 star reviews here. The campsite was pretty, with plenty of space between campervans (nearby campsites seemed very stuffed). The toilets are basic but fine. There’s a nice restaurant on the lake in front of the campsite and a big open area where you can take picnics, swim and launch your paddleboard. This was lovely in the evening sun, especially when there was live music at the restaurant! To top it all off, I’d left my driving license with them, and forgot all about it until it turned up the in post with two postcards and a lovely message. Thank you very much!

Liked: The site is well located at the Lake edge. Brilliant for use of round lake cycle path and water sports. Pitch size is very good and the mature trees give great shade in the middle of the day. — this is definitely a positive against other sites nearby.
The site has a small restaurant and bar that is popular with the residents.
Facilities are clean but very basic.
On site staff are very supportive.
Disliked: Facilities — no hot water for showers on our visit.
Supply of electricity is hit and miss although the site staff were very supportive.
Shop advertised is only operates from July — September.
Wi-Fi only available in reception. Not at pitches.
The Eastern edge of the little (southern) lake doesn’t have lots of evening options, this may have because our visit was in June.
