Camping le Lanfonnet

We stayed for one night, late September, in our campervan, on a tour of the region, and were given a pitch right next to the entrance, by the road and next to the booming music coming from the restaurant next door. We thought this may be because they were busy/full, but, when we walked around later, there were lots of much nicer, quieter pitches available. They clearly just wanted our money,. No customer service/ care at all! Toilet/ showers were OK. Pitch really muddy. Mosquitoes everywhere! If you walk down to the lakeside, there is a lovely view across the lake from a small patch of grass where people were sunbathing. However, considering the size of the site, I bet it's absolutely crammed with bodies in high summer. We won't be going back!

Had a lovely 5 day stay at this camping. Very friendly staff, the camping has a relaxed atmosphere with spacious pitching places. I had a lovely spot with enough space for a big tent and my car. There was shade at almost all hours and some trees for clothing lines and a hammock!
Showers and toilets were somewhat dated, but all functioning and had a hot shower every day at different hours. You can walk to the lake, about a 5 min walk depending on where you're situated on the campsite. There's a little supermarket with fresh bread every morning on site, reasonable prices and quite well stocked usually. Across the campsite is a small, reasonably priced restaurant. You can also walk to other restaurants in the area or walk/drive/bike to Talloires. Immediately behind the camping a lot of trails up into the massif are available.
All in all would recommend! Had some beautiful sunny days here with great hikes, nice swims, good facilities and plenty of shade and space.

Liked: Large pitch area which was only a few minutes walk to the lake.
There is a restaurant across the street from reception which has good food at a reasonable price.
Showers are free and they supplied toilet paper in a shared canister hanging outside one of the toilets which is genius.
We spoke to other campers who loved the site and had a great experience.
There is a regular bus service outside of the site and theres good cycle tracks.
Disliked: This is a very large and extensive site, so our pitch was very far from the main reception area, and especially the laundry area, so a long walk to find out that the machine is in use already.
The party noise from nearby campsites around the lake.
The toilets and showers are vintage era, functional but basic.

We had an amazing time at camping Le Lanfonnet. We stayed in one of the stacaravan and it was very clean, more spacious than I expected and they provided all the essentials to make sure you don’t have to run to the shop.
All of the staff was very kind, from reception, supermarket (Yassin was awesome as well), and even tho they were super busy with a lot of check in and the telephone ringing all the time, they kept smiling and taking the time to give you all the information of the camping, the area, places where to eat, the best beaches. Try hospitality! We would love to come back next year!

Lovely little campsite, I don’t honestly know why some of these reviews are so bad. Shop staff are friendly enough and yes the booking in system is a bit antiquated but we like the rustic charm of the place. If you want a regimented site with hedges and strict rules then this is probably not the place for you. But if you like a relaxed feel, close to the lake, then this site fits the bill.
There is a very well stocked shop on site and directly opposite there is a restaurant which is again rustic but offers great food either eat in or takeaway at very reasonable prices.
The shower facilities are ok, not fancy but we had a hot shower every day only criticism was there were not enough sit down toilets.
Walk down to the beach is about 10 mins.

We had a lovely stay at Camping La Lanfonnet near Lake Annecy. The campsite is just a short walk from the lake, which is perfect for swimming or relaxing by the water. The infrastructure is a bit older, but everything works well and is always very clean.
It’s a peaceful and quiet place, with lots of trees providing shade — ideal for hot summer days. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Nothing fancy here — this is a simple, minimalistic campsite, perfect for those who don’t need luxury. If you’re looking for a basic, clean, and calm spot close to nature, this is a great choice. We loved it!

Liked: Great campsite, lots to do in terms of cycling / swimming / walking / other water sports. Well maintained facilities easy to navigate.
Disliked: Shower cubicles themselves were tiny, I’m small and athletic and struggled to get dressed within it. Also took ages at times to get hot water at the washing up area.

Liked: Lovely site with good clean facilities.
Small shop on site that was stocked with everything you may have needed.
Great restaurant that you could eat in or takeaway with fabulous pizzas.
Talloires was within walking distance and easy to walk or you could take the free bus service to Talloires or to Annecy.
Lake was just a few minutes from the campsite and plenty of shade available. ~
Worth travelling up the mountain to watch the paragliders and a spectacular view of the lake.

Liked: As far as european campsites go, this one wasn't bad. Actual toilets with seats, reasonably warm showers, lots of facilities and spaces on the site itself. But the real showstopper is the lake obviously. At the bottom of the site you can dive straight in and relax on the bankside throughout the day. Drinks and posh food straight from the lakeside restaurant or cheaper sandwiches from the nearby food truck.

Liked: Location, great access to the lake and beach either side of the campsite. Only 25 minute drive to Lake Annecy.
Disliked: This campsite is back to basics — shower / toilet blocks are old and well used, shop has very little stock and there is no Wi-Fi available except at reception. However — you get what you pay for, this is the cheapest campsite in the local area.

Campsite is much better than the reviews suggest. It is no Glamping and some of the bathrooms are old, but there are also newer ones you can use. All of them are reasonable clean. The places are large and have trees, so no complains here. The entry to the campsite is narrow, a larger car with a long/wide trailer will have difficulties.
The people running the campsite are a bit chaotic but friendly, it helps if you speak french.
