Our friends had stayed here and booked a follow on weekend for all of us. They had called and confirmed the reservation twice and also stopped by and verbally confirmed the reservation. Upon arrival 2 weeks later, stopping by to let them know we were in the town and going to have dinner before checking in, we were called at the restaurant where we were having dinner and advised by the owner that he had double booked our rooms and would not be able to provide accommodation for us for our booked stay. He had called a nearby hotel and booked us in to there as an alternative. Upon arriving at the new hotel we learned that the owner of the Hotel des Bois did not make any consideration to pay for our stay or offer a discount or compensation for the inconvenience he had caused. We will not be returning here and I strongly advise anyone booking here to consider that this hotel overbooks and you may be without lodging.
➜ Passage in May of 2017 in this hotel, I find that it is a very good hotel, well located, nice rooms and very clean. The bathroom is very classy, quite recent, with a functional shower and large. Only downside to the stay, the breakfast could be a little more varied for its price, and a bar where you can spend a moment of his evening quietly to avoid staying in his room would be a plus, especially as the village is not lively in the evening. Otherwise really nice, as are the staff.
