For the location, this apartment would actually get 5 stars! The location was really superb, right in the center of the old town, with everything within the walking distance. The room was basic but acceptable. The room actually has a pantry, convenient for those who wish to do some cooking. I didn't utilize it myself, except making morning coffee. The host was good to pick me up when I was a bit lost finding the place. This is the first time I stayed in the apartment instead of a hotel. Despite a nice gesture by the host to meet me at the St. Martin Church's square to take me back to the apartment, I was a bit disappointed with the after check-in service. The apartment is located in an old building, so it came with very old style key & I was having some trouble opening the front entrance door the first night, so I sent messages to the host but didn't get even one reply. I understand that this is an apartment, not a hotel with 24 hrs service, but at least a reply would have been a nice gesture even if the host could not be back to assist me at the time. Anyway, I enjoyed the rest of my stay in Colmar!
