Had a wonderful relaxing 5 day stay on the island! The staff are amazing and make your stay more memorable shout out to Lice and Inny who looked after us every meal time at Dicks Bistro & Bar And Gloria — you are so wonderful We were upgraded to a garden villa on arrival. We enjoyed been able to walk between musket & plantation resort. Only a short 50 min scenic boat road from Nadi and witnessed a magical sunset on arrival at 6:30pm and enjoyed a wonderful Fijian choir welcome. Highly recommend if wanting a quiet holiday where you relax drink eat and enjoy island time!

A very chilled out place where you can do as little or as much as you want. The staff are all beautiful people who go out of their way to make everything special for you.

A place to be experienced and not read about… perfect for family and couples alike with friendly staff to make you feel right at home from the minute you get off the transfer boat.

This place is paradise! The Fijians are so friendly and helpful, the food is amazing. Both restaurants have delicious food and great variety. The pools are so nice, the beach is clean. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous, it’s the place to go in Fiji, relaxed luxury, great friendly staff, arrive as strangers leave as friends. Thank you Emily for arranging everything, we had an amazing family time, so relaxing. Our 11 month old grandson really thrived during our stay and he loved seeing the Musket ladies, Lice, Sherry and Margie at mealtimes🙂 We have been to Musket so many times before starting when our daughter was a baby. I loved every second spent at this resort! The staff are so friendly, helpful and just genuinely wonderful people! The natural environment here is simply beautiful and well cared for. The rooms are quite large and spacious, and there is lots to do, from kayaking, to surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, SUP, and swimming! And a stop at the Island Bar is a must! Here, you are not just another guest, you are part of a larger family 💕 We didn’t want to leave and I can’t wait til I can visit again!

All the staff are amazing, very friendly, helpful, full of life. The food is unbelieveable! Hands down the best, freshest and beautiful food I have eaten whilst traveling. The traditional island vibe is second to none. Would highly recommend it here, will be coming back here in the not so distant future.

My wife, my 2 year old son Gabriel and myself just returned home from a fantastic trip to Fiji staying at Musket. The staff where amazing making Gabe feel right at home. Food was great and the staff also really accommodating of Gabe at meal time. Would most definitely recommend for anyone looking for a trip to Fiji.

I would first say the staff is A number one. They are very friendly, caring and helpful. They always say to Bula to you every time of the day or night. The marina layout itself is beautiful and well built. The cafe at the marina, the food prices is very affordable. The beach is absolutely beautiful. Its a quiet majestic place and the only sounds you hear is birds singing. They have a sand bar, I sat there and drank my favourite beverage watching one of the most beautiful sunset. I stayed at the lagoon room view. Instant hot water, spacious but no tv. Relaxing atmosphere all around you. I would recommend you do the reef snorkelling as well. The most beautiful coral clusters is here in malolo. I’m going back there for holiday 2022rtr.

Musket cove is a place. As I can say hidden paradise, well manage by the owner Josphine Smirth, the only daughter of late Dick Smirth. I work there, when Josphine have not born yet, the name of the resorts that time was Dicks Place since1970s. And yet we’ll the old man have pass on, after 10years or so and his fathers change the names as to day. Musket cove, I can say late Dick Smirth was a powerfull man that time, manage his own resorts planning his own, This land was given by the love of The Late RT Filipe Nabola Lalabalavu, and only his million signiture that bought the musket cove from that time till for ever and ever. Mariner is the the top noch all over fiji and aboard I can say that. Because I have been to other mariner around the world not like this one, well built and strong, it’s not that big but it’s been looked after as ever, yes welcome to musket cove. God Blezz. And very soon.

We just spent 5 days at musket and wow! Fantastic resort. Plenty of trips out to snorkel, island hop and dolphin watch. Highly recommend musket cove. The staff were awesome and so friendly. Special mention to the activities team for our day trips and the passion shown with coral farming. We visited other resorts and musket wins hands down!

The garden bure room we stayed in had a small step to get in the front door but was otherwise wheelchair friendly, as was most of the resort. The staff were all very friendly and willing to help with anything we needed and the food was amazing. Musket Cove is a beautiful place to visit, whether you are in a wheelchair or not.

Stayed here years ago and it was amazing! This time we stayed at Plantation as we have 3 kids. We had our last night dinner here and it was awesome! Impressive kids menu, wonderful service and beautiful atmosphere.

I made a reservation months ago. They charged my card twice by accident. I had proof of the charges on my card and I sent it in as they requested. I have been trying for months to get my refund and they have failed to refund me. I am in the us. I have called multiple times, emailed and spend over 100$ on the phone. Sitting on hold only to be told they will call me back. They keep telling me someone will get back to me and they never follow thru. Months later and I still do not have my refund. Do not book with this hotel! Complete scam!

Musket cove food amazing! Great views relaxed atmosphere and excellent service.

Service could be improved. There are some good spots for sunset and nice looking buildings but I would spend my vacation elsewhere. We arranged for a bbq to be picked up at the bar but had to just walk into the bar serving area just for the attendant to get to us (after 15mins) and the reply was rude. The food was supposed to arrive at 630 but at 640 when we asked the attendant told us food is on the way just wait at the side. Attitude towards Asians could be improved. Also, we had a boat leaving at 545 and arranged for the buggy to pick us up at 515. We waited up till 530 and had to walk out in the sand with our full sized luggage eventually. There were no phones in the room and we were unable to get to reception on our mobiles.

The best place I have ever been. Got certified to dive by Subsurface Fiji. My instructor, Solo, was one of the best people I have met in a very long time. He's Top Shelf for sure. Easy boat ride to Cloud 9, Cloudbreak, and great reef diving. Highly recommended by myself!

We have just arrived home from 5 nights at Muscat Cove, we had a great time. Our private island bure was spot on, the food breakfast, lunch and dinner were all top class, there was lots to do, we swam in pool and beach, snorkelled, went on an island hop, sat around drinking and eating, did lots of walking, canoeing, paddle boarding etc etc. Great place with children, the staff are fantastic, we really have no complaints. Be warned it is not cheap but then where is today if you want something good.

What a great welcome we received at Muscat Cove Island Resort. We were well looked after all weekend and our 2 bedroom bure was stunning. Immaculately clean, spacious & modern with amazing outlook. We took kayaks out into the magnificent bay. The sports gear attendant was very lazy as we asked for single kayaks and he said they had none so we struggled with double kayaks. When we walked past the gear shed on our return there was a stack of single kayaks around the corner of his gear shed! Very disappointing when you know they are employed to be helpful to guests. Great weekend though. Very peaceful & relaxing.

! — Caveat Emptor —! Will never holiday here again. (Who we believe was) one of the owners seemed extremely pretentious and unwelcoming upon arrival — I do stress that this could have been a permanent resident, regardless no way to treat guests in the way we were treated and spoken to, especially upon arrival. ended up revoking our booking half way through our stay due to the poor food, poor housekeeping and rude staff, and relocated to the adjacent resort which was half the cost and twice the quality. This is our 8th vacation to Fiji in 5 years, and we have never ever felt so disenchanted with the operations of a resort. We are regular attendees to resorts in Fiji and hand on heart I can tell you this is the absolute bottom of the list when compared to what Fiji has to offer.

It was difficult to judge as we stayed during a cyclone. Food is great, staff are lovely. The rooms we're a little more rustic than we expected, and the TV was bad, the speakers were kind of broken, which wouldn't have mattered if it wasn't so wet!

We loved it From the moment we arrived greeted by beautiful music and song till the moment we left with their beautiful farewell song!
Accommodations — Excellent, the Service in all areas from all employees-Excellent, the Front Desk-Excellent, Housekeeping-Excellent, the food-Excellent, the activities — Excellent, the grounds very well maintained, the Organic garden-Amazing…

One of the best places we've ever stayed in. Free snorkelling trips, good breakfast, cordial staff, village tours. We stayed at the beachfront bure which is excellent and truly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed in beachfront bure from 17 — 24 Feb. Great time to stay as very quiet with only a handful of other people staying at the resort. The buffet breakfasts were very good as was the a la carte dinner menu and the theme night dinners — the pork roast night was excellent. Staff at the resort are so friendly and helpful. The dolphin safari and island hopping/snorkelling trips were fun. My wife and I were the only persons on both trips so had a great time with Koroi — our skipper. If you're looking for a relaxing and fun resort Musket Cove is unbeatable. This was our second stay and won't be the last.

Loved staying here! My wife and I came for our honeymoon and were really looked after. Every part of the resort was beautiful. We couldn’t believe the view every morning that we woke up to. The staff were world-class. They were so friendly and would stop and chat with you and get to know you. Everything was very clean and looked after. The food and bar were some of the best parts of our day. We could always look forward to fresh ingredients which had loads of flavour. And the cocktails were dangerously too good. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. The snorkelling spots were ridiculous. There were so many different kinds of fish and they all swim right up to you. Walking around the island you find so many hidden beautiful beaches. The hour long massage hits the spot. But you might never come across any of these things because you could spend all day in the pool with a swim up bar.

A distinctive resort great for relaxing and chilling with mates and family… also the food is delicious with friendly service.

Stopped in for a cocktail and something to eat while we stayed at the nearby Plantation Island Resort. Great cocktails and the food was good, however we couldn't use the pool while we visited.

Very classy, pleasant resort that caters to the holidayer looking for just a resort to relax, swim, and just enjoy the atmosphere. There is an okay number of free activities available that revolve either around being in the water or going on trips around the islands, but they will charge you for the more "premium" experiences such as paddleboards (yes, $15 an hour for a paddleboard. ) and cruises and the like. Apart from the organised activities, there is not much else to do within the resort, they offer no night time entertainment save for three guys playing guitar in one of the restaurants, no bonfire or music night, or even a simple games night. Board games are available from the front desk but c'mon. Families or those younger might get a little bored of the lack of activities, but the neighbourning resort, Plantation Island, has a myriad of activities both during the day and the evening to help ease the boredom. The food was great, but the selection does not vary much and does not have a particularly big menu which is a shame. Service is average at best, with drinks orders taking twenty minutes to arrive and food around an hour on average for simple meals. The employees very much live by the "Fiji Time" rules here, and they are often doing whatever they want, when they want, when you are still waiting to be served or for your drinks to be made.

I'll give it 4 stars as we only had lunch and dinner there (we were staying at Lomani). The food was great, decent size and price. Had fantastic views. And the whole resort seemed pretty nice for a family with older kids.

We just got home from 5 nights at Musket Cove and can’t wait to go back! The perfect place to relax and unwind. The staff are incredible, we can’t thank them enough for making our stay so memorable. It was our first holiday with our 18 month old and the staff at Musket Cove were amazing with her. The resort has beautiful scenery, a great pool and plenty of free water activities. We took our toddler out on a morning snorkeling trip to the sandbank and it was beautiful! Our Garden Villa was well maintained and even had a little plunge pool on the balcony (which was great for nap time). Overall, we had a great experience. We are already planning our next trip to Musket Cove :)

Musket Cove was the holiday of a lifetime. I'd like to share similar sentiment to an early reviewer and note the above and beyond service of Dick's Place employee Malcom. His eagerness and extraordinary service skills aided me and my family to have many memorable dinners and is an example for all other employees. God bless him for the future. Would recommend musket cove for all!

Spent a beautiful week here and absolutely loved it. A lovely calm, peaceful place to relax. We loved our gorgeous lagoon bure with the birds that would wake us up in the morning wanting our coconut biscuits, we were enthralled by the huge land crabs and loved the "real" laid back Fiji lifestyle. Friendly staff, great food, beautiful pools, wonderful nature and the best massages on the beach ever.
We'll be back for sure!

Very relaxing place to spend a few days. Lovely well appointed accommodation which we couldn't fault. Lots to do from snorkelling to biking around the island to an island trek tour. Great salt water pool and excellent meals. Only slight down side was the staff looked a little tired of tourists!

Too boring, he doesn't have any kind of entertainment, very senile. It's perfect for people from 60 years onwards. The attention in the main restaurant is lousy. The beaches are beautiful, their waters almost perfect quality. If you want to go do anything and rest only, I recommend 4 days maximum. If you're looking for something else, it's no good.

This frankly is the worst of any hotel I have stayed in the world. I saw many great reviews of this hotel on here and I don't understand why. I will write the details down so you can determine for yourself. I have traveled to tens of countries and stayed at hundreds of hotels all over, from cheap hostels to five star hotels. I went back to my room after dinner my first night and found about 10 cockroaches on the bathroom countertop. They were crawling all over our toothbrushes. Then when opening the fridge to grab some water, I discovered more inside the fridge. Without asking me first, the maid sprayed RAID into my fridge to kill the cockroaches. I can smell it all over my room, and I feel I am going to get pesticide from all the whole time I am sitting in my room. I wanted to take a shower but I was wondering if I would be cleaner or dirtier after taking the shower because the shower area looks very dirty, with all kinds of mystery dark colored stuff and other people's hair. (see picture) I felt like I am sitting in the prison in the room, because if I want the air conditioning on, then I have to close the wooden blinds which blocks all views and sunlight from the outside. There was no view and no sun. The room however is large and it is good sized if you have kids and want them to stay in the same room (not sure if the hotel allows). Buffet breakfast is supposed to be until 11am but I went there at 10:55am and they already took away the food.

Muscat Cove is absolutely brilliant. They treat you like family and are more than happy to help you out in every way.

Com Booked a hotel on there and they had the cheapest rates around… Really enjoyed our stay at this up-market Fijian resort. Be greeted by the fun loving and well tuned, Fijian staff singing a great welcome song. The villas are the place to stay. They're clean, spacious and within walking distance to everything. Start your day with a boat trip out to a local surf break or a snorkel right from the beach. Relax by the pool or walk around the grounds to explore places you've never been before. The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet options are good for the island. Also a great place for kids because it's more exclusive and quiet than its neighbor, Plantation Island resort. Finish your day with a Fijian massage and another session of relaxing by the pool. Enjoy a few drinks in your Villa with previously purchased duty free spirits or head out to one of the bars on or near the main entrance. Forget to check out.

I'm only staying here for four nights (wish it was more) but what's not to like. The Fijian people are the friendliest I've ever met. I was lucky enough to get a beachfront Bure and it's been totally worth it. So, great location, great people and tasty food. Yes, it is expensive but totally worth it.

They were super slow but very accommodating. Great breakfast. Kayaks are free to rent but not sups : (. The snorkeling was just OK. I wish they gave instructions to the people on how not to kick the coral. SO MUCH dead coral. Maybe has a fishy ID book available too.

The best holiday Noah and I have ever had. Thank you Musket Cove for making us feel like family. I could not stop the tears from falling on the morning we were leaving, after already extending our stay by two nights. The people, the place, the food, the land, everything was absolutely incredible. We will be back. Musket Cove you have stolen a piece of our hearts. Thank you for all the love. Such a magical place. We went there for our honeymoon in NOV and it was absolutely amazing! The bures were high quality, the food super-yummy (whether at the high price end, or in the café, the salads were incredible) and staff were wonderful. We had privacy to do our own thing, long walks with no one for miles, and the beaches were gorgeous. Hanging out to visit sometime again soon … maybe we'll bring the kids next time! :-D Highly recommend.

The staff are the most loveliest people, the resort is really nice tidy and clean. The food is expensive but really yummy, and lots of activities to do, highly recommend! Only down side was I was eaten alive by mosquitos but that wasn't the resorts fault the mozzie love my blood haha I would say pack a lot of insect repellents.

Summary: our vacation was ruined. Despite the promise of tropical paradise it was HELL. Details: first, why hell? Noise. During 4 out of our 7 days there, extremely loud music from the neighboring resort made our life miserable. From about 2PM to about 3AM (yes, really! ), loud music was playing non-stop. We could not sleep in our unit, my wife could not even sleep in gel ear plugs. The music was loud if you are sitting outside, walking the resort or even swimming. Horrible, horrible, horrible! We complained to resort staff, and they basically told us "well, it is from the other resort, and the entire resort is rented by some school kids for their holidays — we cannot do anything. " Sure, they called and complained to their management, but nothing happened. Admittedly, for the last night we literally begged them to move us further from the noise and they let us sleep in one of the faraway units that was under renovation (so we did get some sleep last night before our 12 hour plane ride home) Apart from that, it was nice. A small resort, units (called "bures", small bungalows with lots of windows, no A/C in some units so check with the resort). Lots of great places to snorkel nearby, great beach with very few people (it is an isolated island with 3 resorts). Not that it matters that much, but "free Wi-Fi" ended up not being true for us — we were told our booking didn't include free Wi-Fi in public areas. There is paid Wi-Fi in rooms, if you have to have it.

Amazing. Probably my favourite holiday destinaion yet. Friendly staff and great service. Stayed in villa. Well worth it. Ĺearnt to scuba dive and wind surf here. Great!

Everything just as beautiful as the website shows A big thank you to, GM Gary for his hospitality, company and conversation at the Yacht club Bar, Dive shop owner Ron for the many laughs and the generous offer to teach our daughter to scuba dive if and when we return, Chef Peter for Tod's steak b'fast on departure. MusketCove is the best! If you are looking for a traditional fiji island experience with the warm friendly locals, thatched roof bures with fans and window shutters, eat local produce including curries and pig on spit and plus an opportunity to both relax by the pool or get active with snorkelling, scuba, sailing and more, then this is the perfect resort. What it's not is a sterile generic resort chain nor a bargain-basement screaming kids theme park. It's sophisticated, friendly, very relaxed and extremely comfortable. Allow two days to wash away city stress, then remove your shoes and watch and settle in to at least 10 days of good value R and R — plan to do nothing one day and everything the next.

Have you even tried to make a booking using their disingenuous website? Nearly $1000 more in undeclared tax! This is totally unacceptable. It should at least be made abundantly clear earlier in the booking process. Never again.

I took a Trip not really knowing what to expect! my grandfather and I arrived at Musket cove! Was there for a week I sang with the band at Jacks For a week! they loved it! I loved it! was treated and told I was a Fijian old soul! i wrote 3 songs for the band and Had the best experience in my younger life! It was Christmas 1998, Became the the Kava Kava King And still hold the record for drinking the most. 33 bowls! LOL I was so taken by the lady in charge at Musket cove Her name was Lemba! I later Named My Cat after her! :) And an Honorary chief of the Island! So cool! When I first landed at the airport on Vita Levu, I felt as if I was home finally! Awesome trip, Then Off to The Reef Escape for another great week! But that's another Story! Just as great! Captain Chris Bass! He was Awesome! :) The Crew the b est I ever Encountered.
