Worst hotel I've ever stepped into! I have arrived in the hotel late night, in transit for one night. My room was dirty, no towels and bedding was dirty, had to call the staff to replace it. Dinning room was dirty everywhere, Table cloths full with stains, looks like never been washed. Wake up call service called in 2 hours before time… when I went to the loo. Surprise! No water to flash… DO NOT recommend anyone to visit here.

Good hotel in Adisababa city centre, neat & clean. Food is OK. Conveniently located. Safe.

The hotel has been in business for many years. Now they have built a new one infront of the old one. They have the experience, the facilities and the position. Right infront of the hotel is the railway of Addis Ababa Light Railway Transport. You can also find public taxis and buses. Besides the hotel are banks, ATMs, pharmacies, shops, photo studios, wedding planners, etc. The hotel is also close to Addis Ababa Traffic office. Their rooms are neat, and their staff welcoming.

Hotel is great. Except for one challenge. There was no toilet paper in the toilet. This is realy poor and unacceptable.

Simple transit hotel designed for airline transit passengers. Below average breakfast and lunch. Rooms are clean.

Hotel is neat, friendly staff, lovely spacious bedroom, hot shower, clean towel, diner avaliable late at night (although we did not eat). Only thing that bothered us was the other hotel guest that kept slamming doors. The reception gave us a wake up call, as we requested, At 6 o clock in the morning there was already transport available to take us back to the airport. Very good security aswell. The hotel is beter than the hotel we stayed in London UK.

Was booked in here for an overnight layover by Ethiopia air. Would not choose it. But was better than spendig the night at the airport!

Elegant Small Hotel in Addis. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are clean and beautiful. Not far from the airport.

The Debre Damo hotel is an elegant place for travelers in transit through Ethiopia. Was booked in by Ethiopian Airlines and the experience is lovely. Just 15 minutes drive from the airport. The rooms are spacious with all amenities. The views from the balcony are beautiful. The reception was courteous and the food is great. Generally, it's good value for money.

The staff are really friendly and helpful and the rooms were quite spacious and neat. The food was well cooked and we had a selection for breakfast. I would definitely go back again.

Neat, clean hotel. In centre of Addis Ababa. Looks greater inside than the ouside. Was alarmed by the security check at hotel lobby. Metal detectors and luggage scan as per airport? Friendly staff.

Nice hotel though the carpets are really stuffy. But you must have their pizza from the hotel restaurant and the side source for dipping! Heavens! I loved!

Must say this was a layover better than most I have had in Addis Ababa. The Hotel needs a bit of maintenance as well as towels in the rooms. In the whole the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was standard but very appreciated when coming of a long flight.

Nice hotel in down town, if u miss a flight on euthopia airline you are going to get this hotel.

The food is very average. Wi-fi coverage is spotty at best. However if you take the time to meet with the manager (a very kind gentleman) they definitely try to do their best. I ended up here due to a airline overnight layover and I suppose that in itself was a learning experience.

After staying, nothing, slippers, toiletries, refrigerator is empty, safe can not be used.

Such a great place. It's not a 5star hotel bit boy do they put a lot of effort.

I stayed here after Ethiopian airline messed up my flight. The staff was polite but I had to go meet them at the reception twice after calling for towel and then toilet paper and no one bought it up. The Wi-Fi service is poor and their telephone works with the internet. So no internet means you can't make or receive calls. No toiletries provide you will $1-$3 to buy each item. However the rooms were clean and the food okay.

We stayed here because we had a 12 hour layover so we were comped this room. It was less than 10 minutes from the airport which is the only plus. The rooms were disgusting. I'm not using this word lightly. We didn't put our luggage on the floor. The carpet looked like it had net been cleaned or vacuumed in months. We were given only one towel and no washcloths. No toiletries were included. You get dinner and breakfast but only one drink your entire stay. So remember that your 1 bottle of water is for brushing your teeth and drinking for two meals. Breakfast was a mystery. I stuck to boiled eggs but most were over done and the told was green and watery. I tried to buy something coffee and a small container from their display case which is all they have for a gift shop. My container didn't have a price on it. It was marginally bigger than my friends. Her's was $6 mine was going to be $19. Then their internet went out so I couldn't use my credit card. I didn't have their currency so I decided not to buy. This is probably the worst hotel I ever stayed at. The only reason we were there is because of our layover. Some staff were nice. The lamb and coffee were amazing but I really can't say the food was a plus because if the hotel is that dirty I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. I think the only way this place stays open is from layover clients. I can't imagine staying here and paying for it.

Debredamo Hotel is one of the best hotels in Ethiopia. What I like about Debredamo is the location. You will be able to go to anywhere easily, as you are in the center of the city. You can even walk and find amazing places with a walking distance. It also has great rooms, plenty of parking space, and a good service.

Nice, 5min from the Airport. Clean in terms of HYGIENE. However the soundproofing is Mediocre. Satisfying Service.

Their staff is courteous. The food served is always cold no tea coffee makers in rooms. Location is good. No drinking water in rooms.

I have been flying with Ethiopian Airlines quite often in the last year or so and one of the perks is hotel accommodation for long stay overs. My first time at this hotel — had a wait at the airport before their desk was manned, but then everything went smoothly. Check in was less that a minute in comparison to other hotels. From first impressions it seems like a good hotel and the customer services was good. Internet in the room was not so nice and better outside the room. Even in the lobby it was not good then came to the dining room where it was excellent. When I told the floor manager in the dining room, he called out their in-house IT guy to come and check — that's service. My room was clean and neat and I had a two hour nap which was rather comfortable. Breakfast and lunch had an assortment, perhaps not as much as other similar hotels, but ok. One can see the wear and tear on the hotel as some of the chairs needs a good clean as well as the table cloths or a replacement. The hotel has a gym and provides a free shuttle service to and from the airport as well as a 3 minute complimentary International call. Overally a good experience.

Debredamo Hotel really cheap price comparing to service.

A beautiful space with very suitable rooms and a warm welcome. Apart from the noises of vehicles that do not stop their traffic the whole night the nights would be beautiful. A beautiful view of the city is accessible to oçcupants and furniture classes.

Hi… just a warning. If you travel ethiopia airlines and by any chance you miss your flight and you have to sleep at this hotel (Debredamo), please refuse the offer. The hotel do have 4 stars, but the service is 2 star if not less. Starting from the way the receptionists treat you, all the way to the facilities and food that they provide since you are not a "paying guest". I did have a hard time staying that one night.

Lovely place, really. From the service to facilities and quality. And the beautiful view of Addis from the floos uo there, amazing!
