First off, 99% off these Google reviews are fake. Unfortunately, these reviews convinced me to stay with them. The host is kind and welcoming, but. The place is located in an extremely remote area, with NOTHING around. No shops, no restaurants, no market, no pharmacy, NOTHING! If you don't have a car, you'll find that getting to A1 apartments will be very expensive and the only taxi drivers willing to drop you off there, will charge you a lot. There is no public light in the location, so you can't walk anywhere after sunset. Then the room had sleazy floors, the bathroom had lots of hair in the sink and the toilet seat was disgustingly dirty. The apartment was full of flies (estimating somewhere around 10-15) and it made everything feel like a dumpster. There was lots of noise coming from the apartments (I guess they are still building it up), so getting any rest was impossible, even at night. There was no Internet on the location, even if it was advertised as available, but it seemed like a temporary issue. I will never come back to this location again, and I don't recommend it to anyone. Please don't trust all those fake reviews that are already published for this location.
A gem in the desert. Really hospitable and forthcoming crew. Galal, the manager, will organize you all sorts of trips, while Mahmoud, the caretaker, will prepare you the most amazing Egyptian breakfasts. Looking forward to get back.
