A beautiful resort. Spacious and clean. Nice views. However, there is no access to the sea as the lagoons are man made. We were disappointed as we love to snorkel and see fish but as the lagoons were man made there was no wildlife to see. This was really disappointing for us as we had come to Egypt for the Red Sea. We did some amazing excursions that allowed us time in the sea away from the hotel. Please note that the Thai restaurant wasn’t open (which we found disappointing) as that was advertised as part of all inclusive. Also things like ice cream weren’t included in all inclusive. I’d expect this from a budget friendly holiday, however we were disappointed.

We were now the 2nd time in mövenpic and it is simply a beautiful and well-kept facility and our next holiday will be again in Mövenpic. Beautiful rooms with a fantastic view of the sea, courteous and nice staff, there are always free loungers no matter what time of day whether on the beach or at the pool e. C. T. We can only recommend😍💙🌴🍹🌞👌👍 it.

The service is top! However, our deluxe room with sea view, except for the sea view, is anything but deluxe. The bed is very comfortable, but everything very worn out, the cleanliness in the corners is a disaster. The cocktails are served in 0.2 l disposable cups without any decoration … as a cocktail not identifiable … Nevertheless, we have a good time here, but something has to be changed in a timely manner.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend the hotel throughout. Facility very nice. The 2nd bed in the room a sofa bed, impossible to sleep on it. Concierge absolutely not interested in a solution. With half board not even the water included with the meal. Too bad for such a hotel.

The staff is very friendly and attentive! Complex is great, beautifully landscaped, with direct sea access and several lagoons.

Relaxed atmosphere (if you want to) also a great place for to swim and have some drinks at several bars. The lagoon is outstanding. Hardly advice the cluster 4 & 7 suites! Very friendly and helpful employees!

A beautifully located complex right by the sea. We had a nice big room, a bit old but very clean and a beautiful view of the lagoon and the sea. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Massages were very good, greetings to Kathy. We are very happy to come back. Thanks to the nice team.

The ideal hotel for those seeking peace. For those who are tired of the bustle of the city and just want to relax and unwind. The hotel has excellent service, excellent food as well as friendly and unobtrusive staff. High level of maintenance of sanitary and hygienic standards. Lovely beach, lagoon and pools. We are staying at this hotel for the second time this year, and every time the hotel meets our expectations and justifies the choice.

A very nice hotel with a beautiful garden, clean rooms and charming people. The entertainment team is the best! Lulu and the boys are very good with kids. My daughter loves to play in the pool, but this time she prefer to stay all the day with Lulu at the kids club. She fell in love with Lulu from the first moment. And in the evening she could hardly wait to go to the mini disco.

Beautiful, large and very well maintained hotel complex! You will feel like in a fairy tale! The staff is very friendly! All in all-GREAT!

The Mövenpick is a dream vacation. The next holiday there will not be a long time coming. The facility is really well maintained, spacious and beautifully laid out. Our room was renovated and we felt very comfortable in it. The views of the garden and the lagoon from the terrace was gorgeous. The staff was always very attentive and very nice. Also sporty and can be either on the tennis court or the Squash (between 10 and 15 hours for the All in guests a Std per day for free) or you borrow a surf Board from. :-)
Only points of criticism: The Restaurant was to us personally in the evening to a cold and an All inclusive Band would not have been desirable to have each Time to a bill of 0 Euro sign. Also the evening entertainment program, you should not expect too much. But the great thing about El Gouna is that you can run instead to the Downtown or Marina or easily with a Tuk Tuk ride and the end of the evening.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Although the facility is very nice and the staff very friendly. However, the food and the room is so bad that it makes you wonder where the good reviews come from. 7 days long-the same Oriental vegetable stir-fry. Cold food with no taste. Cooked and ungewürztes eat also. To loud, bad Singing, so that a conversation is hardly possible. Even the Mövenpickeis had ice Crystals visible. In the Shisha I've got flea bites on the feet. The rooms are not renovated in some Parts, however, so amateurish, that the Old one is really better. For a diving session 110€ is totally covered. So for me not to go back to Mövenpick.

Great resort with great sea food restaurant and very friendly staff.

The Hotel was very nice. The facility was well maintained and also very spacious. The rooms were as far as neat and clean, we booked a garden view but a beautiful view on the water. The staff were always very friendly and engaged, that it is good for you. Liked the food part, I would say something for everyone. The food hall looks inside like a big hall, but found it ok. Had it presented me worse, but luckily we were able to eat quite Often outside what was clearly beautiful. The evening program was ok, but nothing really special. Well you came away with the Tuk Tuk. El Gouna is in contrast to Hurghada really nice, but that was already clear, because El Gouna is created especially for tourists. I found the holiday quite nice, but the second Time, I would not go again there.

We have been many times, the hotel staff have been lovely, Michele in the restaurant is so friendly and nothing is to much bother as Are all the staff, Asma and Ali in the spa gave us fantastic massages, the hotel could do with a bit of upadating but the grounds are beautifully kept and the hotel is in a lovely position for a relaxing break we would definitely recommend.

I'm in love with El Gouna and the Red Sea. It was my first time and we stayed 7 days at the Mövenpick Hotel. Everyone was very friendly. The meals were fresh and they changed every evening. The desserts were very delicious, too! Driving with the Tuctuc was very exciting, people had a lot of humour. I want to thank everyone for the organization of activities, meals and for the kindness. I will be back next year! :)

Resort clean but food quality and choices not up to par with a 5 star resort. The same dish ordered would come looking and tasting different on different days! Some food was not edible. Beach is rocky and not sandy. And security staff at entrance of resort were very rude like you were in an interrogation not a paying customer every time you left and re-entered resort. We had to do this frequently as no friends or family of ours that were staying at other resorts in Gouna were allowed to visit us in this resort! Not even our sisters, cousins etc… we were all in Gouna for a wedding and had to leave the resort in order to meet up with relatives and friends as they were barred from going past reception even if we showed up to vouch for them. Ridiculous would never come back to Mövenpick Gouna.

Pleasant experience in this hotel. The rooms are not all the same, initially we have given a little room "dated" but as soon as we asked we have changed room and they given another new and much more beautiful room, this very positive. All the staff, waiters, cooks, … are very friendly and helpful. The gym is small but well equipped, very pleasant wellness center. For the food: the breakfast buffet is fantastic, the restaurant by the pool for lunch offers good dishes, in the evening the seafood restaurant is not satisfactory (fresh fish but poorly cooked), the Italian restaurant good, the dinner buffet offers so much choice but the dishes are not particularly good (better less things but higher quality). Overall the experience was positive and I would return.

The room was beautiful. The food was very good and there was so much to eat. And also the service team was very Friendly and gentle. The parfum and oil shop dealer in the hotel (Piazza) were extremely annoying and they didn't let us go until we had bought something. We sat there for about two and a half hours. Everyday that was coming after this day they asked for us when we walked near by. We tried to reach our table in the restaurant very fast so that they even can't see us.

We have been here for 2 days now and can report the following:
Rooms are large and clean. The facility is very spacious, but is also included in the description at the time of booking.
You can't say so much about your food after 2 days. But the eas we ate was very tasteful.
The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. Many have a smile on their lips, especially the "coffee lady" in the morning. Just nice when she smiles at you and pours a coffee.
The only thing I have to evaluate absolutely negatively is an employee of the "Health Club". I haven't experienced anything like this in my entire holiday life and this has been happening to me for 2 days:
After 10 minutes of the presentation of the spa program we refused, because we were only a few minutes at the pool and wanted to "arrive". Then we were told, "Even if we gave him 500 euros the next day, he wouldn't sell us the massages anymore, " and he walked away buzzing. As I write this now, I only notice how the bile comes up to me … about this bottomless naughtiness.
We are really not very demanding and like to tip here… whether pool boy, waitress or maid… they really deserve it… but this guy can avoid a holiday stay. Actually we wanted to be massaged, but now I don't even want to see the spa area anymore. At least not at the moment.
Conclusion after 2 days. Overall, with one exception, excellent.
I will "report" again after the 14 days of vacation.

We had from May 24 to 14th. June 2018 (for about twenty-fifth time) a very nice stay at Mövenpick in El Gouna. All the waiters and the kitchen provided excellent service.
This time we were only happy with our room-boy (staff change) who approx our room. From 6 June — 13 June should be cleaning. Would have liked to have told him that, but he doesn't understand English, unfortunately. Before about June 5. Everything was perfect and our room was always cleaned very clean. But we will still be happy to come back and hope that we will have another room boy next time (from 1 Sept. 2018).

Had an amazing holiday in Mövenpick Resort, Hurghada. The staff was professional and punctual. We felt very safe from the moment we arrived and taken care of always. Welcoming and friendly people who made this trip an unforgettable and positive memory! Many many thanks to all of you!
The room service and the foods are simply amazing, delicious and prepared with care. Everything was fresh and tasty. We choose an “only” breakfast package, what I recommend if you visit, so we tried all the restaurants in the resort area and we were completely 100% satisfied with the quality, prices and services.
We chose programs outside of the hotel with MTS — Hotelplan (Safari and snorkeling) and their service was outstanding and super fun!
The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. The style is middle eastern what I loved!

Noriture 2sur10 drink 1out of 10 for a 5 star that is worth only 3 hard.

A bracelet system for all inclusive customers would have to consider, less cumbersome than the signatures every time we want to consume… even a small bottle of water or a coffee!
SPA and massage. The staff is a little too much in search of the customer and forces too much to consumption. So we do not relax and we do not want to return. Not enough Zen.

I have booked a sea view king size bed. We received double beds and partial sea view. We had to talk to the front desk to get what we paid for and the room was too far and required so much waking. Food was so poor and varieties were less than what we expected.

Fine, old and nice Hotel. Big and clean rooms. I had the feeling, that there were a lot of guests but we were never bothered and it never felt crowded. The system with "All Inclusive " could be easier. For ins-tens with a plasticcard or a chip to keep track of how much you eat or drink and what room you're in. The employees were very politely. Wonderful pool and beach area.

The room we booked was very nice and was also cleaned daily. The whole resort is very nice and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and competent. We were also happy with the food, except that the food was not always hot. We hope that we will be able to return next year.

Please be clear on your website that you don’t have a sandy beach. Food in the pool side restaurant is not par with a resort standard. Transfer from and to the airport and room was appropriate. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Food was good. Unfortunately, the restaurant and outdoor area are located in a courtyard. No view of the sea or the garden.
Bars where you could have a drink in the evening are not available in the giant complex. Again, only the small courtyard.
The hotel is located in the first Meerreihe with which Mövenpick also likes to advertise.
Animation deserves at most one star.
And as an AI guest, you get awful wine and cocktails that are unrivalled.
But the worst thing was the coffee in the morning. The worst we ever got in a hotel. This was certainly not mövenpick.
And a Mövenpickhotel where you pay extra for the Mövenpick ice cream at AI?! Where's that?
The room was very very good. With a nice comfy bed and a large balcony overlooking lagoons and sea. Great.
The resort has a great location with plenty of space at pools, sea or lagoons.

For a 5 * hotel and also such price much too high settled. It was nice and expensive, but we will no longer go to Mövenpick El Gouna.

This was a great resort! The food was outstanding in the buffet as well as the seafood restaurant that we ate dinner in. The room was great, spacious. The staff were very good, friendly and helpful. The pools were great, and then the red sea! Wow.

Good for families and couples. Loads of water activities in the hotel plus a nice Arabic show at night. The staff are friendly and will make sure you have a good time. Might not be the best choice if you are traveling solo.

We have had a really lovely holiday at this hotel and wished we had booked for longer. We enjoyed El Gouna, having not stayed in this area before, it was great to have the Marina and Downtown to walk out to on an evening. The room and bathroom were a little tired but more than adequate. We would certainly like to return.

Not quite new but still recommended. Service is top notch. Staff very attentive. Located directly on the sea and on a lagoon. There are plenty of beds. The rooms are large and the bathrooms are spacious and modern. All in all really top.

A hotel to dream about. Wonderful facility, extremely well maintained. Very good beds and wonderfully large rooms and bathrooms. Variety in the food, you can only increase in the offer. All the staff from reception to gardener is very friendly.

The perfect place for winter recreation. The Mövenpick is of course not new but very well maintained and very friendly staff.
It is a bit annoying to check the zero euro bookings at every order and at the meals, to enter and sign the room number.
And when ordering each time the question about AI or not.
Mövenpick has always responded to criticism of this system that it is necessary because of various services for internal reasons.
I think that's rubbish. Why don't you give all AI guests tapes? The annoying questions about ordering were accounted for, the useless questions at the barrier and at the entrance fell away (it is sufficient at the time, the answer to be a guest).
It's just a small deficiency, but a very annoying one!
Oh so, there are far too few outdoor places to eat and drinks afterwards. And the conference room, in which a short show takes place in the evening, could be pimped up, but there was no beverage service there either!
The location was excellent and the breakfast was very good.

Very nice 5 star hotel. We had a room with lagoons and sea views. The food is really tasty and it is quiet. Mainly German and Arab guests. There is pool bars and a Shishalounge. I would come back.

The staff in general across the hotel where very good. Michelle who runs the main restaurant is a particular star. We can only assume there is first class leadership above them in the organisation that supports and enables the friendly, motivated team performance.

We (my wife and I) were in El Gouna for the first time from the end of January to mid-February, but in the wonderful Mövenpick Hotel with 100% security not for the last time. The Mövenpick Hotel has a beautiful extensive, well-kept outdoor area in the middle of the fantastic lagoons. If you like water, you will love it here. The sea with its private beach is just outside the door and those who prefer to go to the pool do not have to look long at the amount of pool areas. The loungers by the pool are comfortable and you get new towels for the loungers every day. The rooms are modernly furnished, generously sized and mostly have a breathtaking view of the sea, which can be admired directly from the bed. Magnificent to wake up with such a view.
No matter in which areas, the countless staff of the house such as service, kitchen, house cleaners (Mr. Shawky) gardeners, receptionist, customer service, driver of the shuttle bus, the many security people, employees of the pool service such as Hany, laundry service and luggage service were all very friendly, attentive, cordial and helpful.
Also the staff of the various excursion destinations such as Max vom Habiba Horses were absolutely cordial and did not promise anything too much. They are simply great and safe tours that can be booked directly at the Mövenpick Hotel.

The grounds are beautiful. However, the lagoons/on the beach lack toilets and a beach bar. You have to walk a few meters to the pool to get a drink and then there is only one toilet. That's too little.
It was absolutely annoying to have to acknowledge this o, oo € bons as an AI guest. At peak times you always had to wait for the bon, you couldn't just get up and go. That's annoying. Not to mention the more work for the waiters. I think that would be an incredible relief for the waiters if we abolished it.
Please think about it. Many other holidaymakers have said that too.
Otherwise I would recommend the facility to anyone.

Very nicely located hotel. The rooms are nice sized and almost all have sea — or lagoon views. All the possibilities are available. 2 heated pools, unobtrusive service. Food, for that it buffet food is very good. The restaurants are fine. However, the ambiance of the dining room reminds more of a canteen. The same applies to the hotel bar. The high volume does not invite you to linger.
Very nicely landscaped garden area. All in all despite small flaws (but which hotel has none) recommended.

This hotel is not worth its five star rating the hotel is over 20 years old and a bit run down. However it's clean the food is good the location is good. It's great location for kitesurfing our room was right on the kite beach. If you are going with children the animation have there hands tied by the management. The kids disco was non existent shoved out of the way in the back my 4 year old was not happy. Also the play areas were not good at all warn out and ready to collapse. The service was in general good but even when you are all inclusive you still have to sign for every drink and every ice this becomes annoying. We would probably go again purely for the location. However we asked around and we hear that all the hotels around El Gouna are looking tired and the Mövenpick is one of the best. Still had a great time just not worth its 5 star rating.

1. The rooms are very nice and, by Egyptian standards, actually at 5 star level. Everything is clean, the bathroom is really big, you have TV and Wi-Fi. The beds are also comfortable.
2. Unfortunately, the food is only average. It is probably simply very difficult and expensive to offer food at European restaurant level. In this way, everything is produced en masse and presented in warm-holding containers for hours. Result: Meat chewy, vegetables labbrig, side dishes crushed.
What a pity.
Otherwise, the entire facility is very well maintained and the staff is all nice and helpful. I did not, in fact, see an employee who was unkind.
Verdict: 4 stars!

Nice hotel very large and despite it being complete one is quiet.

Super hotel, staff, food, beach etc. But the 3 guys from the massage, the last one, I would immediately send to the desert.
Sit constantly in the SPAR and play with the mobile phone, unkind, main thing massage sold.
We will come back but massage never again, money in sand law, each time a different woman who did not know what to do.

Probably the best hotel in Gouna, great cafe's and restaurants, all the staff are polite, friendly and helpful. The rooms as you would expect are very clean and air conditioned, sound insulation ensures a good night's sleep. The whole complex is nicely laid out, it also has shops and banks.

We had a wonderful time there except that we had to walk along way from our room (family room) going to the area of the restaurant and the main pool then going back to our room carrying all the water toys and pushing the kids strollers. The food was delicious and light at the same time. The staff was friendly. Last point is unforunately a negative one — the elevator was out of service most of the time.

A good decision.
The hotel complex is generously laid out, even if everything outside and in the hallways is always covered by a slight veil of desert deafness makes the hotel a neat impression.
The Persomal, no matter what rank, is friendly without being intrusive.
Anyone who is on water sports, everything is possible and can be booked on site.
We are happy to come back.

Very nice spacious rooms. Food very good. 5 restaurants, also specialties. Always available on the pools and at the lagoon. Sports facilities, spa, fitness center.

Loved it, everything was perfect , only the gym (7/10) needs to be bigger, the beach (9/10) is vast ☺ the so many pools (9.5/10) and lagoons (8.5/10). The parking (9/10), the housekeeping (9/10). Perfect for children. Restaurant (8.5/10).

One of the best hotels in Jelgune. They lived in the lemon sector on the first floor, so they used practically private beach (locals don't bathe). Cooking is delicious. The staff is perfect.

Beautiful hotel, stunning grounds, selection of pools, lovely rooms and food and perfect location. Easy access to down town and beaches. Dive centre on site. Would stay again when visiting El Gouna.

A good hotel. There is a squash court. Did not like the beach. The food and service are all pretty well.

We were in January here. Solid and good service. The food is excellent, both breakfast and dinner. The rooms are spacious with a balcony or terrace. We had a great time there.
Negative: the local seller in stores next to the lobby and the seller who constantly disturb themselves in the beach chair! Very annoying!

This is a very lovely hotel, situated in a beautiful location. A great hotel for families as well as not. A great big complex, very well laid out… Does not feel busy even when busy.

Bit of a mix up with the rooms when we arrived, but they paid for our meal and drinks on the first night to make up for it. Plus they eventually (day 2-3) got the rooms right. Very friendly staff, good quality resort and grounds. We did the bed and breakfast option as we liked to get out to eat, the food quality is better outside of the resort also. El Gouna itself offers all you need for experiences, food and drink. Our week was largely based around sliders wakepark, which is excellent, but you can do many watersports, expeditions and experiences organised from the resort itself too.

Charming place with nice access for Kitesurfing, that is great. The room was great, unfortunately with a noisy air-conditioning system. Service is very good, food not so exceptional and no choice in vines. I expected more from Mövenpick. Public Wi-Fi is bad and only works slowly in reception, you can pay full power access with full power price at 20$ day. Globally disappointed.

Have been back since Thursday in El Gouna. Goods top happy with the service and also the food. Super beautiful plant. HP book, should set still on high prices. Otherwise perfectly.

It was not a good experience as I have expected. The visit started 21st of April. Dinner was of low quality not like the reputation Movenpick used to have. Sorry to say; detoriorated a lot. Service is not up to the 5 stars hotel service. Veryyyyyyyyyyyy slow, even the hotel was not fully booked. You need to keep on nagging to have your issue done. So you loose time and get frustrated. (Remember, we are here to enjoy our holiday). The weather was very cold and we asked for the heating of the swimming pool. Our request was not accepted because heating is stopped after Easter! (Easter may come in April or in May? ) Several rooms' clients were gathered and decided to go to meet the GM, to compliant and threatened to make a check out, if swimming pool is not heated, only then the request was approved, but the vacation time was over for us. This was the first time to stay in the hotel and doubt very much to repeat this experience again.

Everything is perfect. Service is great… View is great… Megafun team are awesome (Y) thanks for the quality time. Will be back soon.

Nice and decent place.

Beautiful location, plenty of sports facilities available on the hotel's premises (kiting / diving). Eat there a lot and generous. Very international, but not a real Egyptian Flair.

The Thai and Italian Restaurant are very cozy. Good and attentive Service.
