Great place very cozy and staff very professional.

Nice staff with good location. If you want to experience old Cairo neighborhoods in the city center, you can try Berlin Hotel. The building is old but has it charm on it. Although it has a little bit run down from maintenance, but I'm pretty much enjoy from it old style living. Also, the staff is very kind, some of the staff are speak with basic English. But that is good enough for me. To Berlin hotel, keep the old Cairo style building and make a good twist on it. You will go a lot better from now. Sincerely thanks for your hospitality.

Walls are in the hotel are cracked, the rooms are dusty and the building is beyond filthy. Of course the management says it is fine because they have no standards! I booked and didn't check in it is that bad! If you are a Latino or person of color don't support this place as they discriminate! They must have their own friends reviewing this place, only way they could have 4.5 stars.

It's a beautiful hotel, clean and surveilled area and building, new elevator, rooms dating back to the old good times and beautiful as the pictures, and the staff speaks good English. I stayed here for nearly an year and I'll come here again. Its near the museum in the center of the city and it offers many guided tours to different places. The boss Mr. Hisham is a very cultured person that knows very well the country and gives many important advices. It's a hustle free place and is served by delivery for anything you need.

I would not come back to this hotel. To begin, the photos (of rooms and the building) look much better than reality. This hotel is VERY old, it could have a lot of potential because its location is not that bad, but it needs to be cleaned up. To get to the hotel's floor you have to take an elevator that is full of webs and dirt and makes it look like a haunted house (for real). The entry of the building is very messy and has garbage. The only thing I liked was that the staff were very kind people. The only person who was really fluent in english was the owner, a woman had some good english and the other staff barely knew some words.

Stayed here 2005. Hisham was very helpful. Organised tours with George. Building & rooms were showing their age but what a fantastic, affordable place in the heart of Cairo. Delights to see it still open and doing well.
