If you are in Cairo, and looking for someplace to start your evening, the rooftop of this bar is a great place! They’ve upgraded the patio furniture, it’s very contemporary. They have liquor and shisha and the prices are not bad. You don’t have to stay here in order to come to the rooftop. Staff is nice and speak English well. You can see The Cairo Tower and watch the sunset.

Centrally located. Friendly Staff. They are rennovating some rooms, one floor at a time. Once all rennovations are done, it should be a much better hotel. Highly recommend rooms in the 6th and 8th floors.

Staff is really friendly and the hotel is not really that badly eqiped for an average smaller hotel in Cairo. If you are staying for a few days in Cairo, would definetly recommend. At the breakfast, there is not really much of a food choice, but they have an amazing fruit salas which will definetly give you the morning boost you need to explore Cairo.

Very nice place very good rooftop and par. Also they have a very good restaurant they make a tasty food but only the furniture needs renovation.

Actually I was in my apartment in the building next to king hotel, so Google thought I was there. Anyway, since we're neighbors I'll just give it a 5 stars review.

Cairo reminds me of Casablanca, busy, dirty, chaotic yet full of history and great people who keep saying "welcome". King Egypt is definitely a budget hotel. Cigarette smoke permeates. It's clean enough but hopefully you're not here to lounge in your room all day.

Visited the rooftop for cocktails. First, it's not open-air, where it could be a stunner, the plastic, translucent tarp covering the view around all sides is a complete mood-killer. Second, the bar doesn't really have any selection beyond one or two beers, and whisky and gin. Asked for a gin and tonic, was told there was no tonic, so Sprite would have to suffice. I suppose rooftop cocktails and Cairo don't necessarily go hand-in-hand, but I would expect the basics! The staff, however, were very kind and genuine. The vintage feel of this hotel, its location, plus its rooftop have so much to offer… a real missed opportunity here!

Definitely a good place for the money! The surrounding area is great for a morning or an evening walk! The staff is also so friendly.

Fairly cheap hotel close to Cairo Tower and the Egyptian Museum. Also not too far from Giza pyramids and the Sphinx. Staff are very friendly and willing to help. Unfortunately the hotel itself is quite out dated and run down. Not very clean inside and doesn't feel particularly safe. Breakfast was good, no complaints. Wifi was bad in rooms, and not very usable. Would cut in and out frequently. Would not be my first choice if a similar hotel was available for the same price.

Expect: A dog barking all night at the 9th floor. Hostile front desk that will make your day worsen. Terrible breakfast. Old room. Overpriced room charge. No parking even if you book one. Enjoy, if you dec8ded to stay after all the above.

Typical 3 star hotel. No frills, a bed and a room. Housekeeping will keep pestering you if you don't use the do not disturb sign. Located close to Tahrir Square so quite central. Staff are very friendly.

Good place for beer on a rooftop with a view. Food selection is average. Go for drinks!

Nice bar but bad Hotel! Very very Small Rooms and Tiny bathroom in which it is very hard even to take a shower, Not Recommended.

A simple and cozy hotel with an interesting community of egyptians a foreighners that frequents the hotel and the roof top bar & restsurant eith a great environment and amazing view of the city reaching many places aroynd the area. Just take a look. No minimum charge during the week, only at the weekends applied the minimum charge.

Lovely hotel @ Cairo near avenues and museums. Best to discover Egyptian culture and lifestyle. Great costumer service!

Its good to find booking in this busy season, I do recommend this hotel for short visit to Cairo, service not to bad, good Wi-Fi, room is ok and good location close to the opera house.

Excellent roof bar with a great view if cairi tower.

I send my father there and was dissapointed, the location is good, but he told me the room was outdated, unlike the photos, and without towels. He should have asked for a better room but it was too late. Typical Egypt tourist trap, we fall that holidays into everyone of them… On the upside there's a nice rooftop bar with beer, and they'll pick you up from the airport if you ask in advance.
