PGH Hostal Quito Guesthouse

The location is good near the financial and commercial area of the city. It has the basic facilities. The attendant is kind. The best the panoramic views of Quito.

Book in Booking and the pictures of the room are deceptive. The very rude reception person.

Great place! Every time I come back to Ecuador I Stay there. Papuchos Guess house is very clean, comfy, great views and last but not the less Juanca, Carla and Carlos are very kind people.

The area is beautiful, quiet, with nearby services, and safe. The hostel is a charm, a beautiful house of spacious and enlightened environments with everything you must have. I travelled for work and the friendly atmosphere did not cease to mean at any time the absolute tranquility. Juan is a great host, well willing to help in whatever one needs. Excellent breakfast. I would return, I will come back and recommend without any doubt!

Have you ever stayed in a place that spoke to you of home? Papucho's is just that. We stayed in the upstairs, front room. It was great. Incredible views of the always changing cloud cover on Pichincha volcano. We used the kitchen, common area, and dining table. The security is great and emphasized. Washing/drying facilities provided. 10 minutes walk to Quinmetro for everything you could need. Definitely would recommend!

Good place to spend a weekend in Uio! I liked the stay.

So much charm! Papucho's is in an awesome location, has a very secure feel, and, from the room we stayed in, has fantastic views. The hostel itself has a well stocked kitchen, large living area, comfy beds and nice bathroom facilities. We would highly recommend this terrific place. To top it off, Juan Carlos, the owner, is a gem.

Wonderful place to stay. Clean upmarket and well run by our host. Spend 12 days with them. It is walking distance to some very cool hip restaurants and bars. And next to a small tienda with nice breads. Also walking distance to the biggest mall im Quito. We can highly recommend Papucho's.

I stayed at Papucho's for five weeks and made friends with its host Juanca, who did everything to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. He is a very gentle, pleasant and talented person who — despite of his young age — built this place on his own with much care and love for detail. The house is cozy and warm, with a lot of woodwork. It offers great views of Quito and has a large and comfortable living room with enjoyable music playing. The breakfast, which Juanca serves him…self, is delicious and there's always free coffee available. The house is located on a safe and quiet street only a few steps from the beautiful Parque Metropolitano, which is perfect for running, hiking and enjoying breathtaking views of the Valle de Tumbaco. The location is also close to the Northern part of Quito with the Quicentro shopping mall, Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa and good public transportation. I can only recommend Papucho's, which will always be my first choice in Quito.

Papuchos House was awesome! We arrived in Quito and were greeted by Juan — what a great host! We were treated like family. He was extremely hospitable and helpful whenever we needed. The room was great with a view of Quito that would be hard to beat! we ended up staying an extra night because we enjoyed it so much! Would definitely go back. 5 stars for sure!

A few years ago I went to Quito for an internship at a museum. I was lucky enough to be able to stay at Papucho's Guest House while in Quito. I can highly recommend this accomodation for everyone who comes to Quito and seeks to stay in a comfortable house in a very friendly and quiet neighborhood. The house offers a spacious living / dining room and a fully equipped kitchen + various bedrooms and bathrooms. From the house I was able to walk to the tram station, grocery stores and the Shopping Mall etc. A beautiful home in a beautiful city!
