Posada Ingapirca

We did not stay in the hotel but did each lunch here after visiting the ruins at Ingraprica. The location was nice with beautiful views. The restaurant was excellent with a friendly staff and nice decor. The food was above average both in quality and price. We were able to charge the meal with an American credit card.

We love this place it was beautiful landscaping the grounds was magical the food was awesome they had some musicians playing pan flutes and Indian music as they welcomed us in. Great food great service we will definitely go back again and encourage you to as well just a fabulous well-groomed facility and incredible staff. Thank you for the great service.

Freezing and moldy rooms, really humid. The bed is over used, dead mattress (you fall in the middle). They give a ridiculously small portable heater that can’t heat up the room faster than it gets colder. The service by the manager isn’t welcoming, nor smiling. No coffee or tea included.
The price (really high for the country) isn’t worth it at all.

The hotel reeks of charm and is very well priced / a great value.
Room for 3 was pretty tight however.
The bathroom could use some work (in particular the tub had some stains)
Dinner and breakfast were great (eggs could have been slightly better).
Great location right next to Ingapirca Ruins.

If you want a place with character, this is it. The room we had was small, but the property is peaceful and beautiful. The buildings are quite old, but seem reasonably well maintained. There is lots of room for parking; it's not truly secure, but as the location sits on its own there seems to be low risk for vehicles parked here. Be sure to enjoy the fireplace in the communal lounge and the views from the dining room.

Arrived on a weekday. Maybe that explains what happened. We wanted to stay there, but when we went over to check in, there was nobody. We waited for just over a 30 minutes, gave up and went back to Cuenca. We liked the looks, even though it was a dark and gloomy day, but …

Absolutely beautiful restaurant! The food was incredible and the service was great! Had some potato cakes that were off the chart delicious, the grilled trout was perfect and the dessert selection was incredible!

This is such a gem atop a beautiful valley. We stayed one night and wished we could have stayed more. The posada is beautiful, clean, charming and the personnel are very kind and helpful. The food was delicious. It's cold at night so they give you hot water bottles to sleep which is a nice touch. You have a view of the Ingapirca ruins from the restaurant. And a delightful garden which you can stroll in.

Very romantic, traditional house, equipped with lots of love for details. The garden is amazing! Our room was very spacious and had a chimney, which is very cosy — especially when it‘s cold outside. Included was a very rich breakfast with fruit, eggs, pastry and juice. We felt very much at home!

Posada Ingapirca, is a perfect mix of nature and beautiful grounds. If you are looking for the perfect view of Ingapirca without the noise of the city, this is the place for you.
The staff is warm and friendly, the hotel is like stepping back to the 18th century. The room we stayed in was and was spacious with a sitting area and large beds. Our room had a fireplace, but we did not use it.
The restaurant has unmatched local food from the region. In a dining room that is incredible and serene. Highly recommend this location.

We were just in and out of this one. A beautiful old ranch house. The rooms are nice, but need a touch of updating. Food was very good. Looks down on the Ingapirca ruins, so very convenient to them.

Today we went with some friends the lousy restaurant service and the food leaves a lot q wish the costs worse q a hotel restaurant 5 stars for a humita with coffee 8, 23$ too much for the service q provide to the client I do not recommend there are better restaurants and with better food and much cheaper.

Always fun to stay here. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms (with separate bathrooms and space heaters) are lovely and cozy, and the dining room/bar is stunning with its view of the Ingapirca site through ancient windows across verdant gardens and hills. It can get cold! But there's usually a fire in the dining room and a hot cup of tea for the asking.

Terrible service. They lose customers for insignificant things.

The food, very good. But the service is lousy. Wait for everything from taking the order to paying. There is no one to attend… it's lonely!

The place is nice but the food is lousy. Stop the price that is charged the quality and the product have nothing to do with it.
