Hostal Limoncocha

Brilliant hostel, one of the nicest we've stayed in. Comfy beds, nice rooms, delicious breakfast. Michael sorted us a rafting tour which was great too. Great value for money.

Love this hostel, very friendly staff and Dueno, pretty nice kitchen, reasonable beds, hot showers, secure moto parking, great views, walking distance to lots of restaurants!

One of thee best hostels I've ever been to. The rooms and bathrooms are in great shape, the kitchen is good equipped and the service is the best. Only five minutes walking distance from the central bus station and with Wifi and filtered water. It wasn't the busiest place to be and get to know new people, but if you search for a cheap but clean accomodation it is perfect.

My brother and I stopped there because we needed a shower before heading to town. The place looked great and the woman at the reception was welcoming and very helpful. I would definitely come here next time I need a place to sleep in Tena 👌 Muchas Gracias!

Great place for its simplicity and with a truly helpful owner. It’s clean and friendly with hot water to wash the Amazon dirt off you after a long trek. Really great find especially quiet and laid back. I’d happily recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Clean room, great bathroom with hot water, and nice staff. Nice hammocks and chairs to sit outside. They let us leave some luggage while we went to the Amazon for a few days as well. Laundry service was a huge plus.

Me and my friends booked the Limoncocha 3-day amazonas tour through our host at Limoncocha Hostel. It was probably the best experience so far during our trip. Juan is a very passionate guide and a very warm person. He took us out to the cabins in the amazon together with his wife and son. His wife cooked all our delicious meals during these three days. Exploring the river and the jungle with Juan as our guide was amazing. It was so genuine. Would definitely recommend to anyone who want's to go to the amazon!

What a great place to stay for an unbeatable price! The entire building is spotlessly clean, the rooms and beds are comfortable, kitchen fully equipped, showers with warm water, the location is a bit up the hill so it's very quiet and provides a beautiful view of the city. To the center it's still only a 5-10 min walk. The common area has tables, chairs and hammocks to hang out. Highly recommended and we'll surely come back!

It is a very good place and at a good price I recommend it and go and dress it and if you can stay you have even to make a very good tour or a service of the best that is seen.

This conveniently situated hostel is run by Michael and his beautiful wife Beatriz. Their sons Roger and Jimmy often help out as well. I ended up staying here for over three months as I liked it so much.
Clean comfortable rooms, a well equipped shared kitchen, on-site organized jungle tours and an efficient laundry service are only a few of the reasons I will be going back. And just wait until you see the mountain view from the kitchen on the top floor. Breathtaking. It's also a quick walk to the city center where you easily find groceries, restaurants and various stores.
I've stayed in a few places in Tena over the years and haven't found better value than I did at Hostal Limoncocha; the prices are very good. Friendly, welcoming and extremely accommodating … every day. This place attracts both Ecuadorian and foreign guests and had a great reputation around the area when I inquired about it.
Michael and his wife are kind, genuine people who look after their guests and put a lot of thought and time into their business. We quickly all became friends. Nice work!

I stayed in Limoncocha only one night on my way through Tena, but it is a place where I would definitely come back in the future.
The room was clean, big enough, with the lockers. Wi-Fi is great, kitchen is small, but well equipped. The view from the balcony is amazing. Two bathrooms on my floor, hot water… Helpful staff and very friendly and knowledgeable owner. He is specialized in the rafting tours, so this is the best place to ask for this activity.
He helped me a lot taking me with his private vehicle to the remote small bus terminal on the other side of the city where I had to take a local bus. A really nice gesture.

I’ve been staying here every summer for the past four years. This is easily the best hostel in Tena. Michael and his family are great people who always keep the hostel clean and welcoming. The price is also the best in Tena for the value. I highly recommend Hostal Limoncocha.
