Amazing weekend out with family and friends. The amenities of this hotel are so good. There is a refurbish going on which will become this hotel in a 5 star hotel soon cos it's a huge construction at the moment but it doesn't affects the quality of the service. There is an acceptable buffet salon for breakfast, lunch and dinner and another restaurant available with previous reservation for nights. The food is unveliable tasty and really good in my opinion. It's not too much alternative, however you can get fresh and healthy food and drinks. Our room was tidy and clean. The staff, very friendly and professional, we felt privileged to have that kind of attention and help all the time. We spend a lot of time by the jacuzzis and the bar next to, we really enjoy it. The beach is like 10 minutes walk from the reception but a carry car is available every 10 minutes to pick people up by the reception or rooms and take people to the beach, rooms, etc. The staff on reception is high qualified, friendly and cheerful.

This resort is amazing. It's so beautiful with a pool and a beach. It also has a club if you wanna get your party on! The the rooms are like houses and it is so cool that they have people driving around to take you places. I also personally love the animals there. It has peacocks, chickens, and flamingos. 10/10

We bought a tour, and here the repair is in full swing. So don't go here yet. The tour was bought in Bibliogglobus, we were not warned. The holiday is spoiled. On the beach seaweed. To walk to the beach you have to go construction, not a very pleasant sight. There is no hot water in the room, the cold is switched off.

It's a good place but it was in remodel when I visit it so many of the places I wanted to go were restricted so my experience was not as good as I expected, but it will always be a place I'll remember… I loved the beach, the sand is shallow so it was nice to walk around it, the service is great, I hope to visit it again in a time where there is no remodeling. There were also some animals walking in the open, it was rare to see it at first but it was entertaining at the end, they were close to the rooms area but secluded from the attraction area so they did not affect our stay. I took a few pictures of the place, but the hotel is just like the pictures they find on the Internet, so if you want to visit it, make sure before all the areas are available and you can enjoy a pleasant time.

Yes Caribbean, white sand-great, but the hotel is not the best. Second time here not by foot! Rather 3 stars, in a restaurant it is possible to be poisoned, numbers small, drinks and cocktails not in full volume if to take in comparison with other hotels…

It was my first experience at a resort and would have Q try another to qualify this, but there is no Q have much experience in hotels to realize Q Not everything Q shines is gold, ie Q not everything is as they paint, the service was acceptable, many of its employees have true vocation of customer service instead others did their best… the food was acceptable, but I lacked variety, with the drinks I was very disappointed all served in plastic cups when a wait something Really attractive to the eye. Hesitate to repeat a stay there, is not something of the last, have Q hire more staff and improve with drinks.

Quiet Hotel, in remodel and it looks like it will be great when you finish. The beach is 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes by transport from the hotel.

I loved the staff service, the food is very good, the very cozy villas would definitely go again again.

Well maybe those who like this hotel will have their reasons but I don't appreciate it that way. It lacks much in service for the name and publicity they give.
Here there is only water and in the bar only tells you ended even if it is 1 pm. So I don't recommend it and it's on my blacklist not to repeat it.

It's good. Good service. I didn't like that my vehicle is outdoors and the sun gives it all day.

Nice place but the staff were not really smiling and can helpful, we had to continually ask to be served, cleanliness of the premises correct.

The hotel was in Reno but lacks tomato juice lacking in tonic etc. Our room smelled of moisture and there was a lot of mosquito in our room. The cleanliness of the room left wanted and the buffet always the same 1 day we had a Mexican evening it was very good…
We've seen better in Punta Cana.

Ifa is a hotel that is now actively expanding its territory and residence, where you can rent or buy an apartment or Villa. The First line, security, lighting, near in walking distance: A large supermarket, pharmacy, refueling, 24-hour café-shop, restaurants, currency exchange 5-10 min walk.
The Prices are optimal, there are inexpensive offers on rent of the real estate, to a beach by a hand and the prices lower, than in other areas, thus it is quiet, no disco does not make noise under Windows.
And Most importantly-the beautiful beach, which is much better than the beach of the neighboring 5-star hotels-Barcelo Deluxe and Melia Caribe Tropical.
IFA is located between these two large hotels, but if the hotels described above on the beach are often algae, then IFA is a clean beach. The Water is clear, the waves are never. Full calm, there are shoals, so it is ideal for a holiday with children.

Very mediocre Hotel. Regular food and varied PWU. Site in great renovation… Restaurant of the beach that lacks electricity and water. Toilet that does not flush alone… it takes water boiler to do it! Beach invaded by tour boats and smell of gasoline hard to bear.

I am on the resort right now. Save your money and go elsewhere. If you are looking for the Caribbean motel 6 then please come. If you want quality, good service and being treated with respect then go somewhere else. Not worth the time or effort. Cheap, lazy and horrible all around.

Under going major construction, not too noisy dough. The food is ok/good but choices are a bit limited. Staff very pleasant and outgoing. Pool superb. Beach wholesome but concerned when the thousands new rooms will be finished that it would make it crowded. Animation 11/10. Perfect with young kids. Some what perfected resort.

No smile no way no service to the restaurants and bars it seems to bother them really they seemed to need more holiday than us. It was professed to pass through the line up by local customers and jostle by them. The food was cold and in very bad taste. On the other hand the rooms were very nice and comfortable.

Hotel located about 2 km from the beach.
We have to walk there after a walk of about 1/4 hour from the reception which was located at 1/4 Hour walk from our apartment or a 30 minute walk between our room and the beach.
We can use the shuttles but they are not enough and stormed at peak times. The free Wi-Fi does not work. The apartments are nice and located on a pleasant and well maintained site. The swimming area is very narrow and polluted by the passage of very many motor boats a few meters.

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Looks nothing like the pictures, not beach front, requested a room with king size bed and was given 2 double beds. When brought to staffs attention they shrugged shoulders said there was none available and there’s nothing they could do. Also, have bites all over which appear to be bed bug bites. The toilet had a door that was open on top like a cabana giving you absolutely no privacy. Food was crappy. We only came back to DR because of the great experience we had at the Catalonia hotel. This did not even compare. Would definitely not go back.

If you have sold tickets to the hotel IFA Villas then change the hotel urgently to not spoil the holiday. Here Comes the construction! We're here for the second week. That week was good. Now on the beach crashing from the building, there is no water not only in the shower, but also the beach toilet. From the sea the stench of Katerkov. There is nowhere to swim. Fed from disposable utensils. There's no evening show. There's nowhere to go. Half of the hotel closed-break the old buildings. Noise. Dust. The sports hall is closed. The hotel Hyodjat workers.
On good we at all should for all this ugliness to return money! The room was clean and comfortable.

The place is huge. One side is villas and other side is the hotels. There is 2 beautiful pools. Hot tubs in the villa section. Several bars and restaurants. The food is good and there is such a wide variety. Disco for the night time. Theatre for evenings. Shuttle service to and from the villas ad well as shuttle service to the ocean side restaurant. Just an amazing place. Well kept and very inviting.

We liked the pool which is quite dirty until the evening, cups, drinking tubes etc. Beach Ok. Great choice of food, staff in the restaurants very nice, at the bars partly "tired" or not interested. Otherwise big in whole good.

We are back from this hotel Bel Hotel The fact of not having Wi fi and being offered cards for sale 45 euros The map to have the Wi fi we have a little disappointed for the service that we have to wait for the Wi Fi picks up at the theater Outside the world not in the evening the hotel is beautiful but the very noisy beach which is in front of a harbor with boats with music too strong to rest if not personal very friendly but we will not return especially because of the noisy aspect of the beach Sino n the room in the bungalows are nice but lack of towels the site is beautiful but they build too much and therefore too many walls in concrete it becomes more authentic as before C is our opinion.

It's beautiful all cute but in 45 days more will be history since they demolished it to make way to give way to the new Lopesan 5 stars that will have 3000 rooms, a pity for those of us who could pay the IFA.

Very comfortable place, the attention could be better as well the coordination. Some of the things they promise are not available. Upon arrival we had problems with our room but it was resolved.

We had a wonderful experience there. In reading some of the reviews, we found that the complaints were either self indulgent or flat out wrong. Yes, if you're going there to eat burgers and fries, the food won't live up to your expectations. However, if you're willing to explore, you'll be pleased. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the shows were fun, and there was enough variety in terms of pools and accommodation that you would find something right for you. We loved the high bar and were pleased with our villa accommodation. And the presence of flamingos, and chickens and peacocks walking around just amplified the experience.

We are currently staying at resort. It’s nice resort with nice pools, Bars and restaurants. Staff is little rude, maybe it’s because of busy season. But the service is really outstanding. Never had to wait more than 1 minute at any bar or restaurant. Room are clean, serviced everyday just missing couple amnesties: like iron, mini bar, bath tub etc. They need to work on hotel staff’s English skills, most of the people staying in resort are from Canada and Usa. We are from Canada as well, people were having hard time in communication because of lack of English in most of the staff. Also they need make designated places for smoker. There are people smoking everywhere, in bar, restaurants public pool, I mean almost everywhere. We are no smoker and there are people with breathing problems. Management need to work on this problem ASAP. Overall our stay is going very good. Enjoying this pools, beach nice selection of food. I would recommend this resort.

Are you looking for 20 hours of party a day? Alcohol without limit? A construction site no 50 m away from the facility? A restaurant with the Athmophäre of a station hall and really bad TK food? Coffee looking for the bean? Then you're right here!
We yearned for rest and rest and found nothing of it. Outstanding is the bar with the pizza and the restaurant bamboo… But for that you put yourself in the morning of 08:00 in the line of those who would like to eat something tasty too.
Really disappointing.

Excellent option to stay in Punta Cana, all very good and very attentive.

Nice facility, after the hurricane there were still visible residues. The that pertains is big, but it is very noisy there, but we are holidaymakers, the locals give themselves a lot of effort to make their guests happy.
The pole is sufficient, however, there is a can taste, which serves for the drinking pleasure of certain people to leave there, to harass others and to scatter the cups and cigarettes in the pole. On the part of the hotel it was done.
The rooms with sanitary facilities are good, depending on what you book, we had time after our check out, have asked for a shower facility and they also got free for half an hour in another facility, horrible. I would have finished my vacation right away.

Had an unforgettable holiday.
Every employee there is super friendly.

I do not recommend to go to this hotel. The hotel is in a great location. On a beach it is necessary to go on a narrow path between huge fences. From a construction site Vereter carries a dust, on a pedestrian path pour a mix of cement, water and stoitelnoj suspension. The beach is a bit far away. There is no animation on the beach. Go not to dirty your legs is impossible. The bungalows are run by rats. All the walls are dirty from innocent mosquitoes. The rooms are poorly designed. The shower is constantly poured into the toilet water. Come out of the shower cabin and stand into the puddle. The restaurant is almost non-seafood. The experience is a little pleasant. The hotel staff are not attentive and just can proignoriroaat requests.

Good hotel, only now is the construction of new buildings.

Excellent service from the dining staff, good rooms, great food. The room toilet more or less. Cozy atmosphere, spacious and good infrastructure. I recommend it.

As the hotel is genuine to avoid. Eat the same every day. Animation does not exist. No direct beach location. Cleanliness total disaster. In my eyes Vllt Max 3 star hotel so 2, 5 is coming.

Definitely an unparalleled experience! The atmosphere was great, the staff were very friendly. In the evenings there were very entertaining shows, the dedication of the dancers was noted and there were also contests in which participants — who were people of the public — had the opportunity to win prizes!
The outdoor atmosphere of this resort is very nice, with lots of vegetation! The room was very clean and comfortable. There are also golf carts that help you avoid walking to the beach (5 minutes) and that certainly bring you comfort and fun.
The food is very rich, there are days when they do themed days, when they offer meals from a particular country. During the 6 days I stayed, there were 2 themed days of food (China and Mexican).
The pieces were very comfortable.
Finally, workers there generate a enjoyable experience through the games they play both day and night.

I was just there and had a great time. Just an FYI there are a few more people that have hook worm! I was there with everyone and I'm fine. I'm thinking the one place people may have got this from was the volleyball court on the resort. So a heads up to anyone who is going or is there already. I truly believe it's the volleyball area. Be safe and cautious always!

Nice hotel Super room delicious food. But it is currently being built here. The cheaper rooms do not have a balcony and a view of the building site. Shopping centre in the immediate vicinity. The trips were very nice but also not quite cheap. The beach is very nice and the Baulaerm is very quiet. So ask when the new hotel is finished then you really have pure relaxation here. As in the catalogue palm sun and nice staff. Everyone cares if you want something even without tipping the naturally doors opens. English or Spanish is well understood.

We are two young adults who travelled to this hotel from January 13 to 20, 2018. The hotel is good in general, the food is good, but there is no animation on the site. The same game every day at the same time by the pool and the same show every night at the theater, that's all there is as entertainment. In addition, being young to travel alone, the hotel staff abused our supposedly naivety. We were harassed all week to buy excursions and we were robbed of money, food and clothing. Get your suitcases out of your room! No confidence possible towards the hotel staff.

I rated this resort with 4 stars only for one reason. Wi-Fi. Weak and just doesn't work in some buildings (as example in 3201). All other sides were good and perfect accordingly 4 star resort. I have been in IFA before and I didn't like the lines in the buffet to get a meal and crowded swimming pool. But the first week after new year celebration (2018) I was surprised to see minimal people in a beach, swimming pool and buffet. That's good for me but didn't get why it happened. So, if somebody are coming in high season you might be at the same situation as I have been at my first visit. Crowd's everywhere. Thanks all employees for their service, good attitude, doing their best.

Not much room has shadow and service at the bar and Cafe dominicanos leaves a wish… In 7day I was born to find that 2barman with good service.

The hotel is OK, clean, nice. There are ongoing renovations. But if you don't rent a safe it is sure that your money will be stolen. We stayed there 2 weeks but in the first days somebody stole 330$ & 50€ from our room. And we know 3 other family who was in the same situation during the period we stayed in the hotel. The hotel security didn't do anything. They said that only the authorized persons entered in our room and they trust them.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel very average and cleanliness of the rooms leaves to be desired. Not only far from the beach but we have to cross a construction site to get there… extremely pressure they all want to empty your pockets! Not representative of what they represent on the Internet. Don't pay more for the suites! These are the same rooms as the others!

This is a great Resort I got to stay in the newly renovated Villas that they had it's quite nice inside. The one thing I will say about Punta Cana is that it is so hot it's kind of ridiculous, but you have to beach to cool you off which is not far away at all. The Japanese restaurants and all those fancy restaurant they have there the food is absolutely disgusting. The only thing that is good is the buffet and that's it the French toast is to die for, but other than that this is a great Villa and I would actually recommend going here.

the hotel is great and beautiful. There are two parts, one quieter than the other. I was on the side of Café Dominicano, very handsome.
Tip, it's worth paying for the room with balcony…

Good hotel with weaknesses. Initially construction site and noise into the evening. But should be completed now. Eat good and varied. Pizza all day. Beach ok. Party boats are annoying. Even the helicopters that fly off the beach every 20 minutes do not go at all! The evening program is the Hanmer! Varied and very professional. As of November 2016, 75% of the rooms had been renovated. Sufficient and modern. Cleaning the rooms every two days and usually very late (about 19:00hr) price/performance you can't complain!

We were very skeptical of this place after reading the reviews but we decided to give this place a chance since the reviews were either really good or really bad. Rest assured, it was the best money my husband & I spent! The staff-They were competent, very friendly, answered any questions we had, the language barrier was a little rough at first but the longer we talked with them, the easier it became. The room service was impeccable! They cleaned our rooms every day before 11am. We purchased a safe lock during our stay which cost $17 for a 7 day stay. Over all, the wait staff, guest service, front desk service, housekeeping, spa workers & shop tenants were all amazing & friendly people! The spa-CHEAP for an hour couples massage! We only paid $65 per person for an outdoor romantic garden area & the services were phenomenal! Elizabeth is the one that sold us the package. She gave us a "mini massage" by the pool. Once she did that, we were hooked. I highly recommend seeing her if you're wanting to purchase a massage package! The Food/Bars/Wait staff-The buffets are… well buffets. Nothing much to gloat over. They offer a wide variety of foods. Our favorite was the Mexican restaurant. The only downside is you have to make reservations for those restaurants at guest service. So be sure to be early in line at 8am otherwise you'll end up eating at 10 at night! The bars were fun. Dominican café is a relaxing bar to be in before your dinner. They poured great drinks!

I have never met a more amazing group of employees who all love doing their job. The large variety of cuisine (Mexican, Caribbean, Italian, Japanese) and with the culture diversity it felt like we were traveling far beyond just the Dominican Republic. The night shows are also incredibly entertaining and you can tell that the crew loves dancing. The workforce made Ifa feel like home and brought together people from different backgrounds. It is also very clean! Not to mention the fact that food is UNLIMITED! We will choose Ifa no matter where we go in Latin America.

Currently on holiday at this resort courtesy of Thomas Cook. Firstly no Thomas Cook rep on site. Now we get to the joy of this resort: Rude and surly staff — couldn't even be bothered to welcome us upon arrival, just demanded money fo safe and our room cards thrown a us. The staff attitude hasn't improved since arrival. As an international hotel they almost go out their way not to speak english. The beach is vile and one of the worst I have ever experienced in this part of the world. The buffet restaurant resembles a 3rd world red cross food bank. We don't go on holiday for the entertainment, however it is atrocious! The only plus point is the accommodation has been updated in recent years. It is not a 3 star resort let alone the 4/5 star it claims to be. After spending £5000 for this holiday we expected a lot more and are extremely disappointed. I recommend this resort is avoided at all costs.

Food poisoning from terrible tasting food. I can not stress how bad the food is here. I got so incredibly sick my third day. It is truly disgusting. The bartenders are the only decent staff members. Huge language barrier (i understand I am in a foreign country however). We stayed in one of their new villas and let me tell you, it was CHEAP. My parents who are in their 60's, had their A/C go out the first day and it never got fixed even though they reported it every day (it was about 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside with extreme humidity). Everything looks nice on the surface but really was built or installed poorly. The pools would be nice if not for the constant flow of garbage in them. We were constantly accosted by vendors for novelty items and excursions, and while of course most people want to shop or have adventures while on vacation, if I desire these things I will seek them out instead of having someone bombard me at every turn or while resting my eyes on the beach. They should not let all these outside vendors just roam around the resort trying to sell stuff. If you have had a similar experience here, go through and click "helpful" on the 1 star reviews so hopefully this place will get their s@#$ together.

The resort is clean and modern. The staff is friendly. Don't expect them to all speak English, they don't, but it's awesome. The beach is also clean, blue water, not crowded. Just perfect. Enough things to do but also totally relaxing.

Rooms a bit obsolete but own eat very good landscape and maintenance was perfect beach lots of action a lot of boats but acceptable. On the side of the villa was very beautiful and it nine worth book of this landscape splendid coast and a lot of cart for transport on the site I strongly advice and very very friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent place for vacation, excellent food, excellent facilities, excellent atmosphere and entertainment, excellent beach, excellent staff and service. The only thing that can be considered bad is the value in excessive of the internet service, both in-room systems such as Wi-Fi.

In general terms a very good resort. Cleaning in the rooms, variety of food, all very good. My rating of 4 stars is because I don't think there's free Wi-Fi. In general in almost all the resorts there is no Wi-Fi and that should change. Also the 4 stars is for the sellers of amusement, and own products of the country that are located sometimes as a trade fair near the dining room hummingbird. Does not seem to me that you are insisting on selling either their products or packages if one is not interested. If we remove that, and the Wi-Fi we could say that if it would be a place 5 stars.

All great, attention, beach, food, entretencion, the best ballet of the caribbean, disco etc, I highly recommend it if or if, and I'm now going for the fourth time, and would a thousand times, not to see the bad comments and just go… not arrepentiran,, IFA has everything to be happy on your holiday…

This terrific hotel, very nice, clean and comfortable. It's beautiful. Has a private beach, which is a very nice place, where you can practice activities nauticas, bathing, or enjoy the sun. The animation is great, very good games where everyone peenden. The theatre is great, and the best part is before the show pq make games. The service is very good and the waiters excellent, very simpaticos and attentive. The truth is very good hotel.

When you check for almost an hour spent because of the sluggishness of reception. But in other cases, staff worked well and fast.

Vacationing with 10.07 to 17.07.13. Everything is food varied and very tasty-and it is only in the dining room! As in territory of the 4 restaurants (free of course, because the hotel offers "all inclusive"), bar and pizzeria. 3 different swimming pools, to the ocean from 3 up to 15 min. Walk from the rooms, depending on the chassis. We lived in a bungalow-rooms quite routine, two beds, big works well too, even a single Russian channel. Bathroom in dark colors only-mračnovaten′ko) is cleaned every day. Vobschem Super hotel, food is excellent, the territory is amazing to us out the window sometimes peacocks peeking, and flamingos out the window you could see! We recommend)

It's cool. Service at the highest level. A bunch of swimming pools and several restaurants, all inclusive. Near the ocean, Palm trees, Hummingbird fly. Much that is unclear, with chickens, chickens that Peck coconuts. Recommend.
