I started biased by reading the reviews. What about: Nice structure. Clean. Definitely not the Italian cuisine but we are far from home. Pictures of the beaches as in the colors of the photos. For a week relaxing recommended.

Very nice Resort, nothing is missing, from disabled access to children's facilities. In addition to the traditional rooms in mini buildings The village boasts of countless bungalows typical of the area (stone with roof covered with palm leaves). Different restaurants for all tastes. High-level animation. The sea is indescribable as it is beautiful.

Nice hotel in the whole. My room was superb except that some roaches visited me every night. Souvenir gifts are expensive in the hotel. But we can negotiate nicely…

I just returned from a holiday to Viva Dominicus Beach, I would say to re little fabulous, the place is magnificent I think is the most beautiful beach among those I saw (since every morning I went to run on the beach), good eating (I never had stomach ache), the rooms are nice, the VIP ones are a blast, but I was in a small bungalow but so much I was never in the room. The only negative was the cleanliness, there was a cockroach that made us company throughout the holiday and someone found the crabs in the shower (but that's the least). If you go to the eye bar, the glasses never wash them, they just rinse them off! What about the holiday in itself has gone very well I recommend you drink a lot of rum, hiking Saona and Catalina and maybe Dolphin (unfortunately I could not do) and GODETEVELAAAA!

Just back from a wonderful holiday in this enchanted place. The village is huge and full of comfort, clean and really equipped. 8 restaurants, lots of bars with free Wi-Fi, 3 swimming pools and lots of fun. The animation guys are very good and always ready to entertain you on any occasion. The rooms are very large. The food is good with so much variety of vegetables, fruits, fish and meat for any taste. A table dedicated only to really good sweets. It's a wonderful place to come back for sure.

Excellent place to spend an unforgettable holiday. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I congratulate the recreation staff of the complex for their dedication and professionalism in the shows that can be seen daily.

Beautiful beach, the color of the sea as on the cards. It's all good. Now about bad. The sun loungers on the beach occupied from 6:30 am. It's forbidden, but the staff doesn't do anything. The food in the buffet is not funny, worse than everything that is the same for a week! Hotel staff does not greet guests. It's very strange to see such a dry attitude in the Caribbean.

Loved the resort and bungalows, only problem was at the Viva boutique. The lady there had no customer service skills. She glared at my mom for finding a size of shirt. She only spoke Spanish though. I did the same thing a day later and she started yelling at me. I don't speak too much but I knew she said the f word and also, " you fat gringos have no manners, you take top no matter what. "

Everything as regular as by reservation. (Superior Room) Large room, clean, bathroom with huge shower. Each room has a reference person for housekeeping which we say go in proportion to the gratuities left. Staff however super friendly and helpful. Beaches a little overcrowded compared to sunbeds and shade available. Really all inclusive with possibility at the same time to buy anything inside the village, including medicine! Eat you eat, do not talk about high quality but nothing is missing!
Hiking personally Franconero Council (5 *), agency just outside the village. In addition to cost less and be a group less numerous, you really enjoy the tour, see the same places but not only, you have fun! He can put everyone at ease and entertain everyone! We're at the Dominicus Palace. Lovely hotel with a huge manicured area (along with the Palace). Ideal for travelling with children. The beach is simply incomparable, with soft sand and a real coral garden near the water area.

Mega structure with different types of rooms and buildings, from bungalows to buildings. Good parties (but they could improve the budget that is down) very very low budget theater and the animators put all the claw and leave everything but they have no budget for lights and others.

After suddenly emerging negative evaluations at HolidayCheck, we have flown with mixed feelings on holiday. On the spot, however, things looked quite different. We had a bungalow Oceanview which was very clean and tidy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A bit of appreciation and friendliness will be appreciated and reflected. The grounds were well maintained and there were no dangerous coconuts on the palms. A preference of Italian or other guests was absolutely not identifiable. The food offered was varied and in the restaurant La Rocka you could have breakfast in a quiet place right by the sea and take a lunch snack.

At this hotel I spent my honeymoon. I emphasize mainly the attention of those who work there, they are so attentive that half-striped in servitude. They even have locals to buy clothes/souvenirs and one to buy excursions, so if you want you don't need to go out into the city. Beautiful clean resort. Staff was amazing. Jonathan and Jennifer in front office were exceptional with our room and transportation. Yorkie was our housekeeper and she was darling. We found the female bartenders to be the best. My only complaint is it is a smoking resort. They do not have designated smoking areas and if the do the are not enforced. Will definitely return.

Positive:-Beach (short distances, very well kept and clean) — staff (friendly and cheerful) — drinks and food (there is something for everyone) negative:-Our room had it behind (there must be absolutely refurbished), see picture Room card worked six Not so that we had to take the way to the reception (10 minutes walk).
Conclusion: We wanted a less old room for the price. The beach and the sea are wonderful for that. Also the offer of drinks and food is OK. Unfortunately, there is free W-lan only at the two bars. If you are looking for a beach place nearby but you can also surf the internet on the beach.
Our room was to the unfortunately right behind one of the restaurants. There, 24/7 the fans were running on the roof. The noise was of course also to be perceived in the room. As soon as it was evening, the smell from the kitchen came to us in the room accordingly.

It wasn’t until I started yelling that they finally gave us a decent room (thank you Alessandro). This hotel caters to Europeans. We are Dominicans from New York and I’m sad to say we felt discriminated against.

Excellent hotel and everything it offers! Clean and comfortable rooms, very good food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are many activities available for all the day. The beach is a paradise! No doubt I would recommend it.

We were here from 01.02 to 11.02.18, in itself a beautiful resort with great beach.
But everything else is a disaster!
Rooms are small, shabby and dirty. The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean and the breakfast was very good.
The food in the buffet restaurant "La Terraza" was very disappointing both from the quality and the selection. Every day the same, everything bland and always cold, neither the tables nor the plates and glasses would be properly cleaned. Actually the restaurant had a nice view, but the windows were so filthy that you didn't want to look exactly.
In the á la carte restaurants The food was OK, but also no hygiene! Like many other guests, we have also become ill (Norovirus).
Overall a really bad hotel, we can only advise anyone!

Correct overall. We were housed in a building and not in the bungalows that are bigger. Disappointment for the room especially the bathroom but we do not go there for that then the outside, Pool beach goes up the whole. 7/10 and I will gladly return.

I arrived yesterday from spending my vacation at the hotel and the truth is that the experience was not good. To start I went with my partner and they gave us a room with separate beds, after making us miss half a day and complaining we were moved from room which the bathroom was a disaster, had nowhere to support things and the water went cold to bathe. When it comes to food there is no variety and when we wanted to book in the restaurant for the night they never had availability. The only thing to emphasize are the animators who put all of if for you to spend a good stay. The beach is remarkable, a true paradise. I would choose the beach again. But not this hotel.

If the bar staff were a little quicker and above all more friendly, there would be a halver point.
The food is only conditionally good and the beach completely beside it. At each lake there is more beach.

I didn't stay here… but at the Palace. They are part of a usual structure and everyone staying in the Palace can enjoy the services of the Beach. However the facilities are new and at the Beach there is a much more lively entertainment. We at the palace every night can enjoy the theater of the beach where they perform both artists of the beach and the palace. I could also eat at the Beach Buffet and the one at the Palace I must say is better. In the buffet of the Beach in fact there is the roof made of palm leaves whose fragments fall during the meal in the dishes. Hotel complex was nice but there were a few problems to me the rooms. Non-functional room tickets, not funkrionierender room safe and the hotel was overbooked. Despite all the wiedrigkeiten it was still a nice holiday.

An important hotel complex but well left around its different pools, its bungalows. Its spring part includes VIP spaces and the central complex with its shops its theater and its poolside bar its well equipped. Many activities its possible and the dive center very nice. In summary a very nice place to spend a good holiday in the sun.

I have been there from January 7 till January 14. Food was very simple. Interteiment was great at night. Bungalow area was clean but old fashion. Beach did not clean from stones and peace of sharp corrals.

Very clean Rooms dated, personal experience sheets and pillows dirty and the clothes remained in the suitcase for 10 days because the wardrobes did not inspire hygiene for nothing.
Poor cleanliness even in the main restaurant "La Terrazza" where before sitting at the table I checked that the table was at least set and that the cloth napkins were cleaned, and I'm not exaggerating!

Nice place, visited in January, I recommend it, apart from the restaurant "25", which I strongly advise against, I hardly complain, but have intoxicated both me and my girlfriend. There are many other alternatives, four plus the free pizzeria, the other for a fee. I took an ocean front bungalow and in the face of a little extra paid I must say it was worth it. Frequented mainly by Italians, many excursions available both inside the village that just outside with a few euros less, passable food, central beach after nine already overflowing, ideal temperature, very nice and helpful staff. Before writing this review, I state that every year I go to the villages, but shabby as this has never happened to me. We arrived at this place on December 29th in two families with total of 3 children, on arrival at the airport we did not find the transfer x the hotel, by this time it started our inferno. Arrived at the hotel at 23 local time, the rooms booked about 3 months ago at the cost of 8000 euros each, were not available. We were assigned two rooms, not pertaining to our reservation, located on the outskirts of the village and they were giving on the road, with 1 bed x a family of 3 people. Our complaints turned Out to be indifferent to the staff. The hungry and sleepy kids had to do about 1km walk x get to the rooms. The next day, we finally managed to have two more central rooms, but very old and with cockroaches that make you company in the room. Not To mention the filth present in the restaurant, we have never found a table set, before going down to eat, you have to look for cutlery, some napkin and a few maids that so annoyed comes to clean the table. The dirty and smelly towels and the door are dirty and rusty. We hope to be able to relax a little.

It's a nice place near the city. Better to stay at the Beach complex than the Palace complex, because that is where the better beach and action happens. It's a lively hotel with many amenities. I went for a day pass since I was staying with relatives in the city but I had a great time. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. The only thing that I did no liked was the fact that we didn’t receive any towels with the day pass, we had to pay extra if we wanted the towels. I’ve done day passes with other resorts and always received towels. Other than that I had a great time.

We were from 06.11.17 to 16.11.17 at Windham Domenicus Beach. The hotel grounds are clean and well maintained. Very nice beach with Ausleihmöglchkeit of different water equipment. The buffet Restaurant has a fantastic view of the sea and a wide range of appetizers, main dishes and desserts. The various pool facilities with their snack bars were so far good. What really annoyed us, however, was the preferential service of Spaniards and Italians and not only once and quite consciously. Our room was simple and small, which was not so important because we were just sleeping there. The air conditioning had a few times a dropout and was quite noisy. There are many excursion possibilities that you can book at your own discretion. However, you should first inform the expedition providers outside the hotel, because you can get the trips there much cheaper. Overall it was a nice holiday for the price.

Beautiful Beach, Good Food and very friendly people. You can perfectly snorkeling at the beach. One downside is the internet. You have a free Wi-Fi at a lobby which is so poor that it takes minutes to send one picture. The fast Wi-Fi is to expensive (60$/week). But that's an issue in that country anyway. Animation program is always about dancing. But they are good! They serve a lot large variety of drinks and offer good Italian coffee. Most people are from Italy followed by Germans. There is a pizza corner open during the whole night and snackbars during the day. We absolutely enjoyed our 2 weeks!

Was in La Romana. Not customer friendly at all. Air conditioner in room did not work to well. Its a huge chain of resorts so I think customer service is sacrificed a lot. Buffet was super small. You should not go here! dont waste your money please! terrible expierience and we are very easy people. My wife is even from d. R. Originally and she agrees.

Amazing holiday! Beautiful places, I recommend choosing the bungalows instead of the normal hotel rooms, so you feel more in tune with everything else and then they are too cute! Top Animation!

Quaint place, very basic. Staff was friendly. Food at the snack bar is the same everyday. There is nothing else except snack bar between breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drinks were okay but no variety of choices and no "real" bartenders. Our bungalow would have been better with just one king or queen bed. Lastly, they need to provide washcloths instead of hand towels for. This is a mostly European resort, Americans are the minority here. It was very rare to hear English-language.

The "free" bar had, or it seemed like watered down weak drinks, the food at the two free food halls were horrible, very bland. That forces you to get a reservation to there on site restaurants which are usually, it seemed like full by 10am. You'll have to drink 12 mixed fruity drinks or more to feel relaxed. Of course they don't want a bunch of drunks puking everywhere on their property but they shouldn't weaken the drinks. The roaches in the rooms were awesome! I had a lizzard on my desk. The staff is nice, but it is a tourist get away, IE trap. Pay extra and Get a VIP pass so you can get to hang out on the NON crowded beach. Enjoy, it is, what it is. :)

Excellent hotel. I was with a group of friends and the attentions were wonder, impeccable and attractive beach and pool areas, cosy reception area, excellent food and the attentions of the staff very good. The only weak point is the discotheque because he has no musical attractions or anything on the disc, I hope to improve it.

Been 2 weeks at Dominicus Beach and we really can not complain.

Absolute Hammer of this Hotel I was now already really often there. Super beautiful plant. It of not what we need… The beach is eating ok and the user simply gorgeous, very friendly. Without hesitation, you can book excursions in the hotel complex, as the offers outside even something are more expensive. Much to recommend the excursion to the beach of Saona, buggy tour is to the villages where the families of sugar cane workers live. The children enjoy huge souvenirs. ;)

I was there from oct 10 to oct 15 2015 When I got there it was an easy check in. Got to my room found out it was super small. Went to ask for an upgrade and was told nothing else was available. Had to ask to borrow an iron. That should be standard in everyroom. No mini fridge either in a standard room. Viva wyndham in bahamas had all this included. The food was ok not the greatest nor a wide selection either. The restaurant where reservations are necessary … the food is ok but very little. They cater to Europeans. Shouldn't we all get the same treatment? in order to get a decent drink and not have to wait I had to constantly tip the bar tenders… Europeans treat the staff there like garbage and that's not nice these Europeans are so rude and think they are better then anyone else Staff mostly speaks Spanish and french or Italian very little English. Place was clean and the beach very enjoyable. If they can treat me as good as they do Europeans they maybe I'll go back.

It is a divine hotel was already a year and not I guess qe changes because they changed and the beauty that must be me would love return is very precious dirct dream if something and tubiera 100 star this hotel deserves them.
