Steel House Copenhagen Hostel

Very good place for the family to come. All sorts of activities for both children and adults. The receptionist are really friendly and they will do anything for you feel welcome and apreciated. We have been there twice now. Next time we go we will definately come back. Thank you.

It was an awesome experience. Staff is really good, friendly and helpful. All the amenities were just perfect!

Super clean, good beds, en suite shower and toilet in the dorms, really nice private bed pods, fantastic social space/bar, and the best kitchen I’ve ever seen in a hostel.

Affordable hotel in the heart of the city. Less than 10 minutes from the Central train station. Perfect for solo travellers, group of friends or families. Staff are very friendly… Our kids loved it. The swimming pool is a plus ++++. We had an amazing view and there's 7 Eleven near the hotel. Its less also than 5 minutes walk from the metro Vesterbro Station.

Indescribable bad is to say little is spoiled staff without brain. And break to sltra people.

The shittiest breakfast I’ve ever had — how can they give school kids a bun as hard as stone and make them pay for it.

Fantastic hostel! very friendly and warm welcome, staff were great… easy check-in and rooms were very comfy and clean just what you need… facilities are great and really wish we had more time to enjoy our experience… would definitely stay here again and hopefully will! 10/10 guys.

Nice clean, warm rooms with bunks upto 6 people with a bathroom and shower room. Good atmosphere in the communal areas with games and quizzes.

Great location, good concept, but:
— rooms are to small,
— no space for luggage etc.
— room wasn't clean: dust on the floor and the bathroom.
— Don't book the breakfast: basic and not fresh, the are alternatives in the neighbourhood!
— high rate for the parking.
Copenhagen is a great city, but staking at Steel House was disapointing for is!

Very convenient place for backpackers. Clean rooms, friendly and supportive staff. Great location. Very close to Central train station, Tivoli park, Copenhagen city hall…
Enjoyed our 3day stay at this hostel a lot.

A fantastic place to make friends! The ground floor is a cosy lounge and bar bristling with fun and interesting people from all over the world. I met so many fun and interesting people just hanging out there. The staff is also lovely and friendly. I had such a good time here.

Completely overpriced double room, noisy guests and very loud lobby techno music till the early morning hours so couldn’t sleep at all, unfriendly staff and a very complicated check-in system (and check-in is only st 3pm which is comparably late) : overall a very bad customer experience which you should work on.

Great concept and modern and functional accommodations with an amazing common area for leisure. Poor cleaning of the rooms. Staff unhelpful and VERY unpleasant. The worst I experienced! I wouldn’t stay again here.

Very clean and modern hostel. I have never stayed in a hostel before and was a bit nervous but I was pleasantly surprised. Indoor pool, common kitchen, Wi-Fi are just a few things they have to offer. Elevators, English speaking staff, private bathroom/toilet/shower for each room (of either 2/4/6 persons) very comfortable. Good location too, less than 10 minutes walk to stroget (main shopping street)

We had a great time staying here. Family of four with two teenage kids. Staying in a private room at a hostel. Parking was good and convenient. Check in was fun, just had to get used to the system. Location excellent if you want to enjoy Copenhagen downtown. Specials at bar were great! We really liked this place. Laundry machines were confusing and not very effective so one night I had to stay up until 2 AM to get my drying done. So that was annoying. Rooms were clean. Bathrooms clean. It was a great place to stay in Copenhagen and enjoy the city. Thanks team! Had a blast.

This is an amazing hostel which is more akin to a hotel. The rooms were high spec, facilities were amazing. Including lots of locker storage, free computers, access to a great kitchen (for a small fee) and a cafe coffee. We stayed as a family of 5 in a 6 room. The pods were great fun for the kids. We will definitely return.

Steel House was new, modern and funky. They only clean the rooms every four days, which can be a little too long depending on how considerate/tidy your roommates are. Six person dorms have a separate shower room and toilet. In four person dorms they are combined, meaning you can't use the toilet when someone is showering. This hostel was perfectly adequate for the price and is well locate. I suspect it's the type of place that may not age well though, so check current reviews before booking.

I stayed with my partner at the Steel House Copenhagen few days ago and our experience was not to good: Uncomfortable Room:
There wasn't space to move from the bed to the bathroom. The bed was too big for that room. There was just a very small space between the bed and the wall. There was no space to place the suitcases. There was no space either no surfaces place our belongings: mobile phone, wallet, watches, etc. Absolutely nothing! no bedside cabinet, no chairs, no desk or a table to just put your things! There weren’t some cabinet o hangers to hang t-shirts, shirts, trousers, etc. As I said, there weren´t any surfaces, so he had to put our clothes back in the suitcase every day. Dirty Room:
The bin in the bathroom was dirty. The room had a terrace which was dirty (rest of things from the previous guests). We asked in the reception to clean our room, but none came. Room very hot Room
The room was on the top floor and was very hot, even during the night. We tried to set up the air conditioned at the minimum temperature (17 degrees) but the air that came out from the A/C wasn´t very cold so the room was always hot. Noise
We could hear people in the rooms next to ours, everything… There was not privacy…. As I said before, our experience in this hotel wasn't good and the hotel staff didn't do too much to resolve the inconveniences we found during our stay.

So not worth it, better pay little extra avoid this Hostel Understand most people happy with Steel House cause low expectation from a Hostel. Paid $200 for a private room with shower. You have to kept moving otherwise bathroom lights turn off and you constantly in the dark. Check out, drop off the key card and say thank you, none of the young guys at reception return with "you are welcome or have a safe trip or see you next time! " Charming!

Nice youthful concept. A family of four, we fitted quite well in the small room. The design is clever, and you can have privacy in your bunk bed. The staff was friendly. Good and quiet location. The beds are good, very good mattresses. On the downside, the room has spiderweb in the ceiling and a bit of dirt in the corners. Otherwise pretty clean. Oddly, the cleaning staff removed our towels without replacing with new ones, so we had to ask for them at the reception. The air conditioning makes the room a bit windy, like in a ship cabin, but on the other hand the air feels good to breath. The most disturbing thing is the loud music in the lobby, it’s audio pollution when you want to relax in the lobby with your morning coffee or evening tea.

Shocking customer service! I had booked the room for six people. Online check in was not successful and it was my fault when I mentioned at the reception. We got one key even though we were placed in three different rooms. Lady at the reception did not even mention anything to us about that. Only when we went to the reception to wonder that some of the room's beds were already booked we found out that we are not in the same room.
customer service was really unfriendly. Three of us found out at the middle of the night that they were placed in the wrong room or in the wrong bed. Two of them woke up inte middle of the night when member of staff came on yelling to them that they are in the wrong room. no one apologized for bad customer service. But we were accused having bad attitude and unfriendly from the start. Which was not true. We were just astonished about everything.
I can’t recommend this place to anyone.

My stay was 100% disappointing from the start. Check-in via app didn't work. The staff needed to move me to another room. My bed there was already used. When I thought everything was sorted out, I found someone else sleeping in my bed when I came back to the hostel at 1 a. M. They obviously double booked it. Needed to move out my stuff and annoyed the people in the room of course. Took one hour to finally be in my new bed. Couldn't sleep anyway because it was really loud outside and too hot and smelly if the window was closed (I could have lived with that if I wasn't already super pissed). Also the automatic bathroom light brightened the whole room. No privacy in the bathroom because of glass doors, which don't fully close + reflecting door frames, which give insight to any person in the room. Can't recommend at all. Ruined my day in Copenhagen.

Very modern, affordable accommodation — situated a stones throw from Tivoli! Location wise, excellent!
The rooms are small (private) but — adequate (maybe not for suitcases — as storage is limited! ) The beds are comfy and there’s a hot shower!
Facility wise Steel house has it all going on! The beer is the cheapest in Copenhagen… (seriously! ) and they offer snacks (sandwiches/ wraps/ crisp/ chocolates) at the bar!
The only reason for dropping a star — is that I think they missed a trick not having a restaurant area… that offered a breakfast buffet at the very least! Food is so expensive — this would have been a total blessing!
A real must stay other than that!

We were like kids at christmas walking into the steel house. I was soooo swanky. Everything looked amazing and was in such great condition. The lounge part is so relaxing, and the rooms were perfect for the 4 of us sharing in bunk beds. I would deffo come back here
And highly recommend anyone to stay here. The staff were friendly, the snacks and drinks were real nice. Overall we think its the best place we have ever stayed. And thats a lot.
