Highly recommended, the Scandinavian decor in the room and waterfront, easy to reach to the city centre and the famous colourful building in the canal Nyhavn, staff were highly trained and polite, breakfast was good and I love Danish Rye bread.

Copenhagen Admiral Hotel provides a high level of comfort, standard and service oriented staff. I am most pleased to see the covid-19 contamination restrictions well taken care of at all levels. Speceous rooms and right on to the trendy harbour site.

The location is fantastic. It is on a canal, with beautiful views. Close to a bus stop — Copenhagen has great public transportation. You can walk to many tourist locations. The breakfast brunch is vast with lots of breakfast / lunch choices. The service was great. The hotel is being renovated, and our room was very modern. The hotel was an old factory, so lots of wood beams everywhere.

In summer, inside the rooms in the attic, there is too much heat and the beds were not very comfortable there neither. In the rest if the hotel, everything was perfect! The views are amazing!

Overnight stay, room was very nice and cozy. We were on the 6th floor with a loft in the room. Breakfast was great, had lots of fresh fruits. Visited Copenhagen during a heat wave so the included fans we found in the wardrobe was much appreciated! The hotel is situated portside with nice views. Close to a parking garage and with several tourist attractions near by.

The attitude of the hotel staff is great. We left a diary in the hotel safe with a very large sum of money (buying a car) and remembered it. Legoland. Called the hotel, had to of course to return, but gave absolutely everything. Respect to the staff.

The location was great. I was robbed at the reception in the hotel. The security in the hotel is not good. So please be careful. I was being informed by the authority that the theft is common in Copenhagen, yet hotels don't hire any security guards. Although it happened in the hotel at the reception, how hotel staff dealt with me was not considerate. I felt they do not care about customers' safety at all. Also, the cleaner left the window open where anybody could enter our room from the balcony. I understand that the cleaner opened the window for refreshing the air, but given that there was a huge construction going on in front of the hotel, there were scaffolds in front of the window. Other customer was walking around in front of our balcony and she could easily enter our room. And again, there was no apology from the hotel staff for jeopardising the customer's safety. I will never stay this hotel again.

Too much expensive, even when considering the great location in the center of the city. You can't have a big mattress, only 2 separate ones. But most irritating are room sound insulation and lack of air conditioning. Hotel says: we are sorry about that, but you can open the window … Yes, but when there is a party in the bar underneath your window until 1:00 AM, how do you sleep? To conclude, so disappointing for the announced category and cost!

Great hotel, with proximity to the metro, and downtown. Breakfast is greasy and all in all, I had an enjoyable stay both times. Only problem is that you have to time your breakfast wisely because it is possible you don't find a place to sit during the high season.

Dirty. The rooms smell. Very small bathroom. No Air conditioning. No bathrobe. No slippers. 2 stars. It is Necessary to do repair in rooms.

Great hotel in all points of view.

Awesome location. Right near everything you would want to see. The breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly. We accidentally left some valuables in the room and after check out the hotel got in contact with us and returned the items. That would never happen in American hotels. Very good service!

Charming hotel, well located, very good restaurant, friendly service, rich breakfast, nice… Room unfortunately very frumpy, it muffelt something on the floors, rooms have no climate. If one does not need, some say yes grds in the north is not necessary. However, it will be enormously warm in the rooms. Windows can be opened, but if you look to the street side, it is noisy. Conclusion. Great hotel for the weekend… Well located, good food, friendly staff… Recommended.

Great hotel. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Warm and welcoming. Slightly thin walls so audio can travel. Didn't bother me, but may be an issue for light sleepers. TV is a little old school so couldn't cast to it from my phone. Great value though for the price and incredible location close the the harbour area and shopping. Would recommend!

Nice staff, excellent restaurant (Salt) with a lovely breakfast. The bar could possibly have a greater selection of beer, but the service was at least on point. The rooms are fairly basic, at least the ones facing the street, and not the harbor. Nothing to complain about, just nothing special. Overall I had a nice stay!

Beautiful hotel, the rooms are cozy, they have exposed beams, and lots of history. The old building has a great location. Waterfront, walking distance from the most interesting museums and restaurants. Staff is helpful friendly and food is delicious.

Extremely good location, with many of the best bars and restaurants within walking distance. The decor is very rustic, with exposed beams and reclaimed wood. Price reflected the location, so not very inexpensive, but worth the price.

Amazingly thin walls. If you have chatty neighbors, you're unlucky. Otherwise incredibly quiet as no car traffic on the harbour side. Breakfast is enough. Good location, have everything on foot grazed. There are even vending machines where you can cover from candy to toiletries.

Great hotel, had one of the mezzanine rooms on the 6th floor. Very quirky rooms. The bar is great with friendly staff serving up an array of cocktails, beers and wines! The hotel is central with roughly 20 min walk to tivoli gardens and 10-15 min walk to the little mermaid! Would recommend!

The biggest advantage of the Admiral is the location. 3-minute walk from Nyavn. Very small hotel parking but at 2 minutes there is an immense underground parking, not cheap but very convenient. Inside the Admiral is a bit bleak but these days are renovating some parts. The restaurant is good level but the portions are rather scarce, to satiate you have to take some extra reach but the quality is good (prices a bit expensive). However on the channel there is a wide choice of restaurants and pubs. In the rooms there is no air conditioning (it is the only 4 star I have ever seen with a ventilator in the closet), but in Copenhagen finding hot days is quite difficult.
Overall not bad but no more than 3 stars for the rating.

Where’s the no stars button? The rooms inside the hotel look nothing like advertised. Window view of the waterfront was around the same size as an A4 piece of card. Power was cut off when returning in the evening, only to be woke up at 3.45am when the power returned with all the lights in the room on. No discount or refund in, for false advertising or inconvenience. Book elsewhere. Overpriced sxxthole.

Very nice staff, excellent location, very clean. The staff were very helpful. Conversations of the room neighbors are quite good to listen to. Your sex, too. And since the beds are screwed with the walls, I suspect head to head, the alarm on the cell phone of the room neighbor also vibrates at your bedside.

I am very comfortable waiting in their reception.

The place is interesting because it is an old fortress converted into a hotel, but the service does not live up to the stated cost. The ancient beams are located at an altitude of about 1.73 and I'm 1.75 and I had to bend over all the time in fear of hitting this beam. The hood in the bathroom is so that the curtain in the bathroom sticks to the jup, and if it does not close it then will be later. In general, you can stay for 1 day for the sake of entourage.

For a 4-star hotel It is not possible that the rooms are still free of air conditioning and that above all they are the size of a 2/3-star hotel.

Fantastic hotel, very beautiful location, nice restaurant. It is located in a beautiful historic area, very close to city centre. Beautiful views, excellent room interior — a perfect mixture of modern and classic. Lobby looks like museum having sail ships models around. Restaraunt just perfect, excellent bar with friendly staff. I would love to come. It is a place regret to leave.

This is hotel, I worked there in 1981, it was my first job here in Denmark. Very good place.

Beautiful and comfortable. But I could hear the people in the next room in the wee hours and I didn't like that. The breakfast buffet is amazing with so many choices, including gluten free, a huge variety of fresh fruit, organic yogurts, and speciality cheeses. They had the usual eggs and bacon, too — organic eggs!

This is just the best hotel. Lovely staff, elegant contemporary surroundings and an ambience to die for. The SALT restaurant is highly recommended too; the food and waiting staff both excellent. If you're on honeymoon, as we are, and you're coming to Denmark, this hotel needs to be on your list. My wife and I loved it. Many, many thanks. PS: And the chap in the hotel bar tonight mixed the best Margaritas EVER!

Fabulous hotel in a historic building. Great decor. Friendly, helpful staff. Worth the price. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the harbor. The bar was very nice too. And very conveniently located.

Clean rooms. Very helpful, thoughtful, and considerate staff. Smooth check in and check out. The bartender made the effort to deliver an off menu drink with no issue. Great service from start to finish. Fantastic location as well!

Classic old waterfront hotel. Comfortable amenities, good breakfast buffet and walking distance to many sights, including the Royal residences. A plethora of places to eat can be found within 500m. The Copenhagen-Oslo ferry terminal is just a short (80 DKK or ~$15) taxi ride away.

Well placed but terrible service.
Suitcases lost by the airport. They did nothing to help me get them back. I asked them regularly for 48h and every time a new story… They couldn't even tell me that she had finally arrived at the hotel. They put it in a colleague's room!
Other fact. I asked them to wake me at 7:00 one morning, they did not!

Great location, excellent bar on harbour in summer Nice rooms with good space. Try to get a view on the harbour in winter, but in summer we hung out in the Salt café outside just next to the old sailing boats. Staff very friendly. The walls are a little thin between the rooms. The building is a little bizarre for the rooms, great dowstairs and generally interesting because it is a converted warehouse from the 1800's.

The room itself is quite nice and so was the breakfast we enjoyed in bed, but everything else is "extra", you want a late check out — that's gonna cost you, you want to use the sauna that's in the building — that's gonna cost you extra, I almost called reception to find out if using the hot water in the bathroom was included or another "extra fee" to add to the list of things that should be available to paying ($250 we payed) customers. We came in on a late flight and checked in past midnight and the deadbeats found at reception at this hour just looked and acted sad and depressed. Won't ever return to this place. Yet still to see if checking out has a "extra" fee attached to it — I wouldn't be surprised — updated review to follow.

Very comfortable rooms and a pleasant bar downstairs. The restaurant is upmarket and quite pricey but good for a special occasion. Staff were helpful and friendly — the only criticism was that the walls were a little thin meaning our neighbours could be heard thoroughly 'enjoying their holiday'.

Nice hotel which is built in a former warehouse or alike, giving it a specific atmosphere. The rooms are large enough with a sliding door to a French balcony. Good shower, with all the necessities. Great breakfast. I love this place.

Nice property but the rispekkiano not a 4 * storing kamere dishes made from sweet to savoury breakfast though is spectacular.

Comfortable cozy and rich of charme.

This hotel is the complete opposite of another we stayed at (The Square). The Square hotel is modern and smack dab in the middle of everything (Tivoli Gardens, the shops along Vesterbrogade and Frederiksberggade, Christiansborg Palace, etc). The Copenhagen Admiral hotel, on the other hand, is in a much more peaceful neighborhood near the Amalienborg, the Opera House, and Kastellet while still being a reasonable walk to everything else. Its right on the water, so if you get a room on that side you get a nice view. The rooms are very rustic with exposed wood beams and radiators for heat. They're a bit run down in a way that can be described as charming or quaint — not so bad that I was put off by it. Our room was quite large with a lofted sleeping area that was very neat. The showers and bathroom were very nice and clean.

A decent 3 star Hotel nothing more.

Lasting impressions: Elegant, friendly, waterside, expensive Our experience: We stayed for the weekend and found the staff friendly and attentive. The hotel itself was charmingly elegant and we liked the waterside location. It was also easy to reach many of the tourist attractions from the hotel. We loved the old beams that were found throughout the hotel but it was a little expensive and sometimes, its size detracted from the intimacy. The rooms could have benefitted from better sound-proofing and the breakfast was expensive for what it was (standard buffet). The reception staff were lovely though and we enjoyed our stay. The verdict: If we went back to Copenhagen, we might try a different hotel, if only so we have a comparison. We didn't hate this hotel by any means and we actually rather liked it but there were things that could have been better.

Perfect location, great breakfast, friendly staff.

The Admiral hotel missed one of the rooms in our booking, then they offered to squeeze everyone in the travel group into one room, stating there was no more rooms available. Then they put us in a different room type than they offered first so they had more rooms available. In short they did not take responsibility for their own mistake.

This was my first time staying at the Admiral Hotel, and I can safely say it will be my last. That sounds harsh, and overall it's not a bad place, but the devil is in the details. On the surface, the hotel is nice, fairly clean (it's showing a little bit of age), but digging deeper, there are better deals out there. To start, the staff are really just ok, but you can tell there's a lot of vailed enthusiasm — they are happy to great you, but don't really seem very helpful beyond your initial greeting, especially if there isn't anything in it for the hotel. Prices are high at this place, and the quality doesn't really reflect what you are paying for. The restaurant/bar Salt is far more expensive than nearby Nyhavn, with a very limited menu that is nearly twice the price of other local establishments and not very good. I've eaten at the restaurant twice and both times had very bland meals, nothing that really excited me for the Krones I paid. Also, as a good rule of thumb as I write this, 100DK is roughly $17 US dollars — the bar will charge you 80DK for a good beer (above Budweiser) so you can see how that adds up quickly (and we're talking about a little bit better than Budweiser, but not much). I figured I would pay more at the hotel anyway, but that's a bit out there. Anyway, the room was clean, but the beds were uncomfortable and the pillows terrible. The shower/bathroom was cramped, and the available soaps cheap.

Nice hotel located near the Royal Palace and next to the area of attack cruisers.
The building was a former large warehouse and today is a restored space that combines modernity without excesses and good Danish design.
It is near the statue of the Little Mermaid and the tourist area of Nyhavn.

Unfortunately the hotel, which has alot going for it, has a strategy of raking in cash in various ways you may not expect. Examples? Parking for a day: 20 euro (not free, like this Google entry from the owner! ) Can of coffee in your room: 20 euro Also, you expect a pool and a gym in this priceclass of hotel, both absent. It's all topped off by inattentive hotel staff. Been here several times now and the reasons for returning just don't outway the irritations anymore. Save yourself the same experience.
