Great location, easy access to the city and stations. Excellent service, very polite and professional staff. Lounge area very cozy for afternoon/evening activities board games.

Booked a suite for our stay. Inquired twice to ensure there were two full sized “real beds — not a pullout. Sure enough, on arrival, one bed was a pullout couch with a thin and uncomfortable mattress. That turned out to be the least of our problems! Our room had the worst garbage/rotten egg smell! We all had to cover our noses so we didn’t get sick from the smell as we tried to find out where it was coming from. When I complained to the front desk, they said it was “the sewer again. ” On top of that, the electricity on one wall of our room (that controlled the tv. Fridge and lights) was not working (they weren’t sure why). I also asked about a sprinkler system or fire extinguishers (the place looks like a fire trap) — they didn’t know if it had sprinklers and weren’t sure where the fire extinguishers were located. Needless to say we checked out in a hurry without staying the night. Luckily the Legoland Castle Hotel had a room (which turned out to be fantastic).
Aside from the sewer smell in the most expensive room, the carpets are well worn and dirty, they don’t change the sheets or towels during your stay. I definitely would not recommend!

We have stayed at this hotel several times (3-5 nights per year for the past 5 years) and have always been happy with value-for-money. The hotel is located close to the city centre and a short drive from all of the entertainment around Billund and the airport. Free parking outside the hotel entrance. Free access is given once per stay to the indoor swimming pool located next to the hotel. Staff is always welcoming and helpful. Rooms are clean with a nice bed. Breakfast is plentiful and offers what most expect from a continental breakfast.
We were unfortunate to get a room facing the parking lot on ground floor this time. People outside have a free view directly into the room. I asked to be moved but it was unfortunately not possible as all family rooms were booked. Be sure to ask for a room not facing the parking lot on ground floor when booking (it is ok to face the parking lot from first floor since there is not much noise from cars in the lot). We will be back next year (and will remember to ask for a room with a better placement).
