Troense is absolutely beautiful: lovely old well-kept houses, scenic harbour views and walks — the hotel is at the right location and that is what you actually pay for. But at EU 166 per night incl breakfasts it is overrated and grossly overpriced: a spartanic tiny stuffy room directly next to the street — with the late summer temperatures we had to open a window / street noise all night long plus the constant banging of the heavy room doors plus noisy loudmouths near our window = 2 lousy nights. By the way, I did nicely ask for a ‘quiet’ room when I originally booked. The dining area and restaurant smelled stale & fishy — hadn’t been ventilation for a while.
Excellent location with beautiful views. Great walks in the area. Friendly staff, clean rooms and tasty food. It is right next to the small harbour Troense Havn. The hotel is a good place to stay if you want to go on trips around Sydfyn.

The restaurant is somewhat ancient and the waitress was unfriendly. We had to ask for a dessert and coffee. The prepared veal was not good and vegetables as side dish ordered, were not warm. Price and quality were not in balance. A pitty for such a beautifull located hotel-restaurant.
